Giving platelets is hard--takes over two hours where your arms need to be still. It is, however, very rewarding and quite needed. Having a great provider is essential. The facility is good to give blood with comfortable beds with little TVs. I watched four episodes of Young Sheldon. I plan to give platelets again at this location. Help Cancer patients who need it.

I completed the paperwork using the rapid pass option on my Red Cross Donor app. You'll have your temperature, blood pressure and iron count taken prior to donating. The staff was professional and efficient. No pain was involved. The center is clean and comfortable. I am thankful for this convenient location that allows me to save a life in less than an hour. Let's hear it for the O negative blood types! Actually all blood types accepted--O negative is universally accepted by patients. Looking for a way to celebrate the season? Donate blood. You might even score a few TShirt, gift card or at a minimum snacks and drinks in the canteen.

Last donation in October 2025 was supposed to get 40$ in rewards. logged on the site within a week and showed "zero points" on my account. After several calls to customer service line I finally reached someone who said she reset my points because "they expire in 30 days" I reminded her that I had just donated less than 2 weeks prior. she told me to wait a few days. So I did and when I logged back on to redeem my points, they were showing in my account but when I tried to click for two dominoes pizza 20$ gift cards, it showed "error" I will not donate to this company anymore.

I did not receive the bonus points in a few days after my donation, so I called in and they said I made a incomplete donation therefore my blood could not be checked for O+. I've been donating blood for 40 years and NEVER had an incomplete donation. The techs at the time of donation said everything was fine with my donation. I've donated 5 times with them before and they didn't have my blood type, therefore the delay in the bonus points. They had to test my blood........NOT! Do not trust these people. I donated on the bus in Garner on Jan 15th 2026. They won't get my blood AGAIN!!

I've not heard great things from my colleagues about Grifols and they insisted I should go to Octa on Capital. I thought they were just being dramatic. The first time I went with my partner to ease my mind (and he decided to donate with me!). Teagan and the other ladies I dealt with were genuinely amazing people and went out of their way to make sure I felt comfortable. They walked us through each step, and it was just overall a wonderful experience. "Ha, I knew they were just being dramatic" I thought to myself as we left the facility, feeling a sense of pride for having done a small part to impact someone's life in a positive way. Well, that all changed when we went back to do our second donation. We decided to go on Saturday, and boy, was that a mistake. The male nurse on staff that day (1/17/26) insisted my partner and I were just too bruised to donate (I've attached a picture), and we were deferred. I began to think perhaps my coworkers had been right about this place. Nah, it was just a fluke and this person was probably just erring on the side of caution. All that went out the window today (1/23/26). My partner decided to attempt to donate before the ice storm, since we wouldn't be able to on the weekend for obvious reasons. I was working, so wasn't able to go with him this time. Well, he arrives and talks to a lady at the counter, explaining what happened last weekend. He was refused AGAIN because the doctor needed to review the note left. It's been a week, how has the doctor not taken a look at it at this point? All in all, my coworkers at McKesson were correct about Grifols. I will be making at least one more donation just to make sure my first one doesn't go to waste, but after that, I will not be setting foot in this locale again. I'll be taking my co-worker's recommendation and going elsewhere to help save lives.

If their bedside manners are as good as reception (which I have all reason to believe that they are) then this is the best spot to try in Raleigh. They test your veins at check-in so no one ends up wasting time waiting around. I'm going to try again in the future, if this is something that I can change. Avoid Griffols like the plague!

A…read moreyoung man told me he was very tired and exhausted from being on the floor and I asked him to get me another person and he said that he got me well he didn't get me. He ruined both of my veins. He told me in order to get paid. I had to let him stick the other arm my arms were Red blue and purple for three weeks going on for my veins was hurting. I got nauseated headaches and I had to schedule a doctors appointment so that I could see if my veins are OK. They finally went down but when I try to escalate the situation, the manager Was very unprofessional because I feel like people that donate should not lose their funds because they're doing it for a cause, and it helps financially because your staff did not stick correctly. The donor have to deal with the consequences. They are very unprofessional most people that are on the staff used to donate which that is not a problem, but they talk to you as if you are less than they have no empathy. I have no empathy. I had trauma behind what they did and they do not want to compensate you for that and wanna give you $30. They just don't understand that a person don't have to come there if they have a full-time job but they do because they work somewhere Where plasma is needed so you're helping yourself and you're helping patients . So now they have lost a customer, but do they care no because someone else will come through the door that would deal with their shenanigans very unprofessional place.. they work people too hard, which is why they're getting so many bad sticks. They do not keep staff because people that want something better in life or want to be treated professionally and with respect and dignity they will leave. I gave them a chance last year and I come back and nothing has changed. I will never go back again. I could have been in the hospital the way that my veins looked.
