I contacted The Blonde Tulip just days before my wedding. I totally forgot about getting flowers until my mom arrived in town and asked me about them! Pearl was amazing. She was so kind and patient with me, working tirelessly for my my NYE wedding. Although it was a challenge for her to find everything I requested due to the holiday, she managed to do it and was very friendly the entire time. The flowers turned out beautiful, exactly like the pictures I sent for examples. I highly recommend this place for floral arrangements. A month ago I stopped at The Blonde Tulip for some coffee and noticed a beautiful flower arrangement with vibrant colors, I took a picture which is the picture on the right because I thought of ordering it for my husband's birthday. Yesterday I placed the order and specifically said I don't want the pale pink or pale green hydrangea for my husband arrangement, and furthermore I was asked to text a photo of the arrangement I had previously taken on my phone to the person's phone who took my order so that they can come close to what I like. I contacted them 3 weeks prior to my wedding (yes I kinda waited till the last minute!) and Pearl was able to meet me and put together a proposal very quickly! Seriously, among all my wedding vendors they were the easiest to deal with and did such an outstanding job. The floral arrangements at my church ceremony, the bouquets as well as the centerpieces at my reception were absolutely beautiful. All my guests and even the staff at the Mandarin Oriental raved about the flowers and designs! In addition, they serve coffee and food at the store. Well as I usually go every morning for some coffee, and an empanada this morning quietly wasn't the same.... As I walked in today I noticed the man that's usually at the bistro every morning yelling at employees and being unprofessionally rude. Security was even asked to handle the situation in the bistro. This is super unprofessional and not a friendly environment at all!!! It made me so uncomfortable to the fact that I didn't even feel like getting my usual goodies that I get from the bistro. I will honestly say I will not look forward to going back and it sucks because this was my morning spot. read more

I've never received a bouquet of flowers that made me feel depressed until today. I called the blonde tulip hoping they could create a small simple bouquet with roses and lillies before they closed. It was 3:50 when I called, they close at 5. The lady on the phone checks, says it won't be a problem, & tells me to pick it up at 4:45. She takes down my info, and I thought she took down my description of what I was aiming for which was "simple, small, feminine, with roses and lillies." I told her I didn't want to spend more than $75. I thought I was in good hands. I got there at 430, paid, and patiently waited outside for them to finish. The florist walks out with a handful of purple and yellow (barf) flowers, with no vase. I'm not a confrontational person by any means but this was some bullsh*t. I told her I wanted them in a vase, please. She agrees, and goes back inside to fix the sad bunch of foliage she attempted to give me. 10 minutes later she reemerges with the most terrible, depressing, heinous bouquet of flowers I have ever seen in my entire life. Just awful. I would be embarrassed to show these in my home let alone give them to a friend as a housewarming gift which was my intention. I actually laughed out loud because they were so bad. It was one of the most awkward situations I have ever been put through in my entire life. Here we have a customer, who's paid, waiting outside on her bouquet that I'm sure was thrown together minutes after I arrived. And a shop, at the end of a busy day I'm sure, eager to close, trying to deliver on their promise of a fantastic $80 bouquet. I understood this. I decided not to demand her to redo the entire thing, forcing her to stay open late to make me happy on an order that was placed without much notice. I get it. So instead, blonde tulip, your punishment for practically robbing me of $80 for this terrible bouquet that I ended up throwing in the trash because I didn't want it in my apartment and I definitely was not going to give it to someone else, is this horrible yelp review. Next time, blonde tulip, if you can't handle an order don't accept it. The bouquet I paid $80 for today was so damn ugly, I actually felt the need to call a different florist and have a new bouquet made ($65, and gorgeous) to take to my friends housewarming party because I refused to show up with that atrocity. Thank god there's some florists out there that can handle a last minute request and save the day with something beautiful, simple, feminine, with lilies and roses. read more

When someone takes pride in their work it shows. The arrangements from The Blonde Tulip are more beautiful than a plethora of adjectives could properly express. I'm not talking about a "one off" either! I happened along into her store a couple years ago and ordered some flowers for my girlfriend and when they arrived they brought her to tears because they were so incredibly beautiful it touched her with how I felt. The amazing thing is that The Blonde Tulip touches every arrangement with the kind of art and care as if they were sending it to their very own love, family or friend. Since that day, I've ordered several more arrangements and not one time have I mentioned what I wanted and only told them why I was sending. Each recipient has had the same expression of amazement after they get the flowers. If more people took this kind of pride in their businesses, then America would never of lost its greatness. This is the first review that I have given. We looked to Pearl (Blonde Tulip) to help us with the flowers for our daughter's wedding. She came highly recommended and we know why! The venue was the Ritz Carlton - South Beach. It was somewhat challenging in that the ceremony was outside with the reception in their evolution room - not the standard ballroom. In addition, The Ritz designed for us a "lazy susan" center piece whereby the side dishes were placed on it enabling it to turn. Like every parent of the bride, we wanted our event to be unique. We had several fears - anything outside would be blown away and anything on the lazy susan would be tipped over. Pearl not only calmed our fears - but the end result was magnificent. Outside, Pearl created orchids in vases large enough that the guests / wind wouldn't knock them over, yet not overwhelming. Inside, on the lazy susans, Pearl designed little lights under them as well as orchids. What was great was that the children could play with the lights (they were all loosely placed). On top she designed vases with orchids that were weighed down. She tested and re-tested to make sure. Most importantly, Pearl was accesible, creative and wasn't "ego driven". She worked within our budget - actually telling us where we could save, etc. The day of the wedding, Pearl was the first one there setting up. She even lent a helping hand to others! Not only did we think that things turned out beautifully, but she received multiple compliments durning and after the event. We would highly recommend Pearl and The Blond Tulip for any event, both large and small. read more

I called Blonde Tulip in hopes to find the yellow and white tulips I so desperately was seeking, and not only did they impresss me with their elegant, long stem French tulips they had, they also threw in 10 or so extra tulips in case some wilted early at no charge! I was married in July 2008. I am not a girly girl, and I had no idea what I wanted in flowers. All I knew was that I wanted something pretty. When I met with Pearl (the owner), she assessed the colors of my wedding (Gold and Ivory) and came up with some ideas. When my now husband said he wanted some color, she and her team (Claudia and Miguel) came up with an amazing assortment of deep reds, golds, ivory, and oranges to compliment my colors and my fiance's wishes. My wedding was a small, outdoor affair in the courtyard of a bed and breakfast. She was able to view the courtyard and work with the greens and colors that were already there. In short, the work she did was phenomenal. I was blown away by her professionalism and dedication. I never doubted her abilities, but when I looked at the finished product, I saw that she had surpassed even my highest expectations. Her work was the icing on the cake of my very happy day.
