Avoid Custom Closets of GA - Dishonest, Unethical, and Unreliable!…read moreI hired Custom Closets of GA in January 2023 and paid a 50% deposit ($5,900). Initially, they were professional, but after construction delays on my home, I had to pause the project. When I asked the owner, Jamason, if I could cancel due to budget constraints, he refused, claiming my materials were already cut and stored. He insisted that canceling would mean forfeiting my entire deposit, which was completely unfair. Fast forward to December 2023, when we were finally able to install the closets. On installation day, my superintendent informed me that the closets were cut on-site, contradicting Jamason's claim that they had been pre-cut and stored. Had he been honest about this, he could have extended some courtesy to a client dealing with major construction setbacks. The installation itself was sloppy and incomplete, with exposed areas where drywall was not leveled. I informed the installer that I would be paying 90% of the balance, holding the remaining amount until final corrections were made. Immediately, Jamason called me multiple times, demanding that I pay the full amount that day because his workers had a Christmas party that evening and needed to be paid. He mentioned he was leaving for Singapore for the holidays that night and needed the guys paid before he left. I'm not sure why any of that was relevant to me--at the end of the day, a job should be completed fully before final payment. I trusted him to finish the work, but of course, he never did. Till now, Jamason has not personally come to inspect the work or offered a viable resolution. When we finally moved into our home in December 2024, I noticed that one of the closets was missing an entire column of shelves that I had paid for. I contacted the company to either have the shelves installed or upgrade to a bank of drawers and pay the difference. The associate informed me that the drawers wouldn't match the original white and instead offered me a $300 credit for the missing shelves. Apparently, they omitted the shelves because a door would have swung into them--but as a paying client, I should have been notified and given options beforehand. Instead, they chose not to disclose this at all. Had I not personally reviewed the installation, I would have never received any credit. Final Interaction - Unprofessional and Unethical After the $300 credit offer, I reached out via text, the associate asked me to call Jamason directly. I politely declined, saying, "I'd rather not, thank you." Shortly after, Jamason called me and sarcastically asked, "Am I so scary to talk to?" At this point, I was already exhausted from dealing with this company. During our call, he rescinded the $300 credit, claiming they had stored materials for me--something he had never mentioned before. All materials were at the job site, so if there were any supposed storage costs, he should have addressed them upfront. I explained how unethical I found their business practices, how I was still waiting for a punch list of work to be completed, and how I had paid for missing shelves that were never installed. Instead of resolving the issue, he hung up on me. This company is dishonest, unprofessional, and lacks integrity. They fail to communicate, refuse to take responsibility for mistakes, and do not honor their commitments. If you value honesty, professionalism, and quality craftsmanship, I strongly advise you to take your business elsewhere.

SOMETHING'S MISSING HERE!…read more This is an interesting furniture and home decor store. It had a rustic/shabby chic vibe and reminded me of those stores that you might see in North Georgia cabin country. There wasn't much to see and it felt more like someone's workspace instead of a furniture store. They had two really nice arm chairs that were blocked with a sign that said "Please do not sit on me". Now, how in the world would you ever expect to sell a chair that can't be tested? Also, if you don't want customers sitting on the furniture, don't place it on the main floor or just place it in the window where there is no direct access. I understand that because these chairs were very light in color that they were concerned with them getting soiled but this sign just seemed inappropriate and out of place in a furniture store. Much of what I saw was very light in color so if you want a light decor, you could check out the options here. There are also decorative items to add a bit of visual interest or to complete a look. This store appeared to be staged for visitors to just walk in and out. It just didn't seem very customer friendly although the ladies working here were. I just left feeling confused. Was it me?

The owners/staff were absolutely amazing at helping with the surprise. They helped me do the purchase over the phone, responded quickly to questions, and offered to hold the chairs for me until I could get back to pick them up. When the day came, lo and behold, the chairs wouldn't fit in my car! Temporary panic, but no worries. Lori arranged for immediate delivery for a very reasonable price. Just one more reason to shop local instead of all the hassle of the chain stores! I was so pleased with this purchase, and I have recommended this store to other friends who love to fill their homes with unique pieces. Blue Fern is the real deal. You can get cheap reproductions of the farm house look anywhere, but Blue Fern has truly unique, carefully selected, quality items. So thrilled with the entire experience! I have waited for a year to write this review just to make sure their lacquer paint job had held up. I met Connie the owner initially when she came to my home to pick out paint colors for my cabinets. The entire process was explained to me professionally and she took time in making sure I got what I wanted. I asked for bright and sleek a modern feel on our new home we were renovating. I was quoted roughly $4,470 for the amount of kitchens cabinets we had + a small vanity aka coffee bar. You pay when the job is done she said which is well with me. I met Jordan the head painter who was great and professional when he arrived in my home. They taped off every nook and cranny they could get into, the kept the room ventilated as best as you can expect, they took care to keep my appliances safe and played great music while working. As long as you're a Rock fan you won't complain either haha. They will happily turn down the Jams if rock isn't your thing. They are very polite. Overall, the process took about a day to paint frames and a couple days for doors to get painted/rehung. They coordinated around our countertop people which was so helpful. A year later: I noticed a couple things that I just had to have fixed and they made time to come and fix them at no charge to us. I love this company and am grateful they made our house look like a home. Professionalism: 5 Cleanliness: 5 (I am OCD so I clean it all again anyway they did their best and even mopped the floors) Cost: *** Cheaper than most in my opinion Quality: 5 (Was left some touch up paint and they hold true to their promise they WILL come back out in between other jobs to fix any issues they could pop up in the future) Recommend: 100% I recommend this company and am so grateful for our stunning kitchen.
