I'm so glad I did my research, because Angela did an awesome job on my plantation shutter order. I have had plantation shutters in three houses so far and they remain my number one choice for window coverings. I chose Angela at Budget Blinds after getting a total of four quotes from local providers. Not only was her quote the best price, but her experience far outweighs the competition. She does a LOT of shutters. Even her competition told me that she does more than anyone else in town. This is important when buying something as expensive as shutters. They all sell the same brand, but if you want it done right you have to go with someone with experience. She is second generation window covering, having been mentored by her father who ran the business for many years. After putting shutters in three homes, I learned the value of experience the hard way after I got stuck with a product I didn't order in the past. Angela was thorough and patient with my many questions. She was able to give me excellent advice to assist me in my choices. She made sure that everything operated properly upon installation, even ordering replacement parts for a frame that was damaged in delivery and an extra magnet to make sure my shutter on the door stayed closed. My house has a front door with sidelights that made us feel like we we on display to all of our neighbors. I had her put 3.5" shutters on it, which is something that the other local businesses told me was not possible. It turned out fantastic! Since we were getting an in-stock product and not the custom options, they were able to install the blinds 5 days later. And he came out on Memorial day and measured my blinds at NO COST! Yes blinds can be very expensive. Especially when you have odd big windows loke i do. But Gerald was quick and honest and gave me a Memorial day discount . Also had my Custom blimds within a week and a half. Took less than an hour to put them in..And they are great quality. And I love that they don't have a string. Just push them up and pull down with your hands.I highly recommend them and will use them again.

This will be LONG because it took forever! We moved into our home the end of Sept 2017. There was a…read morepicture window in our shower that we immediately knew we wanted gone since you could see in clearly from outside. I called WW(beginning of Oct) to give me an estimate of replacing with obscured glass window. The guy comes out & measures. I tell him I basically want the same window only with obscured glass. While he was here I agreed to the job and thought he ordered the window (WRONG). I called about 1 week later & told them we had a door (faux French) with wood rot we wanted to replace. He comes back out & measures the door. Gives me the estimate & I call him a day or so later to tell him we want the door. THEN he tells me he needs 1/2 down in order to order the TWO items (door & window) says it will take about 6 weeks. I pay 1/2 on October 20th. Around the 2nd week of December I call because I've heard NOTHING. Find out that the manufacturer was closed the week of thanksgiving! So there's a delay. My window comes in but it's clear glass. Christmas comes & goes. Now it's New Years. My window glass comes in but it's broken! I say go ahead & put in the door. Friday before New Years & they come to install the door. ITS THE WRONG SIZE!!! He measured wrong. So again we wait. They put a rush on the correct door. FINALLY in February (19th 4 months later!!!) both are installed. NOW I realize that on both the glass is much smaller. I lost 4" of view from doors & more than that in glass on the window. I'm not happy about this at all. The window didn't matter much since I only wanted the light to come in since it's the only window in master bath. But the DOOR pissed me off because I already had blinds ordered (that were in since November) for the previous door that were 22" & now the glass is 18"! In Dec when I spoke to the girl at the office I told her how frustrated I was with all of delays & told her I expect to be compensated. Well they only took off about $200 from the total cost of it. Sucks too because we will be replacing another door soon & eventually all our windows. The installers did an amazing job. But the whole experience has left me VERY BITTER. I will not be recommending them not using them again. The communication was non existent & the delays were unacceptable. ALSO new door was to be white- it's only primed white. Ugh.

Meantime, asked Scott to proceed with measurements of specific windows since the house was open and I didn't need to be there for that part. My day was extremely challenging and I considered rescheduling but realized I had not saved Scott's number, did not know which office he worked out of. I initially, called a general Budget Blinds number that rang to a central scheduler. However, got there 45 min late. Scott greets me with sarcasm "that was hardly 30 minutes." I apologized again and shared a little about my day, 84 yr old mom in rehab with broken leg, business very wild and so much going on today! Scott replied, "common courtesy would have helped." Apparently, my sincere apology wasn't good enough for him. I was so offended by his lack of empathy, disregard for my personal choice to afford him the chance to earn my business and the fact that he made me feel reprimanded. I reminded Scott that I apologized and it appeared that he wanted to argue and rudely said "so do you want to just move on?" I thanked Scott for his time, said no thanks and left. What a horrible memory that occurred in the Kitchen of my new home! If this type of attitude is acceptable to Budget Blinds, who needs them? Certainly, not me.

It has now been almost 11 weeks and still nothing. Today is Oct 7th and nothing!
