I almost didn't call Angela at Budget Blinds based on some other reviews that I read. As it turns…read moreout, those reviews are for a different/previous owner that is not associated with Angela at all. I'm so glad I did my research, because Angela did an awesome job on my plantation shutter order. I have had plantation shutters in three houses so far and they remain my number one choice for window coverings. I chose Angela at Budget Blinds after getting a total of four quotes from local providers. Not only was her quote the best price, but her experience far outweighs the competition. She does a LOT of shutters. Even her competition told me that she does more than anyone else in town. This is important when buying something as expensive as shutters. They all sell the same brand, but if you want it done right you have to go with someone with experience. She is second generation window covering, having been mentored by her father who ran the business for many years. After putting shutters in three homes, I learned the value of experience the hard way after I got stuck with a product I didn't order in the past. Angela was thorough and patient with my many questions. She was able to give me excellent advice to assist me in my choices. She made sure that everything operated properly upon installation, even ordering replacement parts for a frame that was damaged in delivery and an extra magnet to make sure my shutter on the door stayed closed. My house has a front door with sidelights that made us feel like we we on display to all of our neighbors. I had her put 3.5" shutters on it, which is something that the other local businesses told me was not possible. It turned out fantastic! Then I did my French door and a window in the family room and my big picture window in the living room. Everything turned out exactly as I had hoped and my house looks fantastic.

Mike Maselli took over as property manager for our home in Clarksville, TN in August 2018. We have…read morehad three years of issues with Mike as our property manager. He is rude, disrespectful, unethical and unprofessional. I had to constantly contact Mike to do his job! Over the years I have requested copies of all the service receipts for work done to my home. He has refused to send me proof of what he was deducting money for. I'm entitled to know what I'm paying for don't I? He has falsely accused me and my neighbors of being racist multiple times when he was called out for not doing what we hired him to do. Luckily I saved ALL emails proving so. Recently Mike verbally assaulted my realtor during a phone discussion when he was caught in one of his many lies. Biggest issue to date is Mike lied to me about the condition my home was left in from the renters. He was bitter we didn't list our home though him, and wanted to quickly get rid of us. Along with the nasty condition my home was left in, Mike denied knowledge of a massive odor left in the home. When I emailed him telling him about the odor and how it was making my realtor sick he responded saying "There are NO horrible smells. It's absolutely ridiculous that someone went inside and felt sick. Probably just the scent of the carpet cleaning solution drying. Your realtor has been licensed for just 5 months and I am convinced your neighbor has an unhealthy bias. Both with not much experience. PLEASE just put your house on the market. It will sell in 10 minutes even if a stink bomb went off inside!" Clearly getting no help from him we had to hire a professional cleaning and restoration company to get rid of the intense smell. $1,100 later, the company determined the abundant smell was from the renters using a massive amount of mothballs to cover up smoking in the home! They had to clean every air vent and receiver and then had to use an industrial purifying machine for 24 hours to get rid the smell. Smoking in the home was a clear violation of our lease. Mike and his team ignored these and many other violations, which is a breach of contract. They were supposed to be going in my home twice a year and checking on the care of my property. How he can claim he didn't see any violations is a lie! Mike also claimed to of hired a cleaning company to "deep clean" my home after the renters moved out. They didn't do much, if anything at all. All my bathrooms had soap scum build up, dirt and grim. All the counters, windows and blinds had yellow nicotine residue from the smoking. I had to hire a cleaner to get rid of it. But Mike said "he personally checked the home" to make sure it was ready to be handed over to my realtor. Another lie. When I emailed Mike about the issues my home was left in, I asked him to please take the cost out of the renters deposit. He emailed back saying "This will not be a tenant charge, please don't send me an invoice." Mike and Berkshire Hathaway Penfed Realty banked over $6,000 from me for doing nothing! Dealing with all this while living out-of-state due to military-is extremely frustrating!! Why did we even hire him? Mike needs to be held accountable so no-one has to go through what we have!

DO NOT TRUST! FRAUDULENT BUSINESS. I hired Clean…read moreClarksville for the Deep Cleaning service. The cleaner spent 7 hours alone in my home, and when I arrived home, the house was still dirty: dirt debris on the floors, sticky and colored stains on every hard floor in the home (kitchen, halls, bathroom, laundry room), stains on the walls, dirty baseboards, dirty appliances, dirty doors, undusted wall art, dirty bathtub, dirty sinks, dirty vents, unvacuumed carpet areas, a bed sheet placed in the opposite direction (not covering the bed), untouched kitchen cabinets, and an uncleaned fridge. I hired this company for a Deep Cleaning service and they advertised to clean each of these hard to reach areas. I had prepared my home to be deep cleaned prior to their arrival by picking up and having things order, so that when they arrived, they could focus on cleaning these specifically advertised places in my home. After seeing everything uncleaned, I immediately felt uncomfortable about the fact that someone spent 7 hours in my home. I called "Shawn S." (He does not post or share his full name online) the business owner, and listed my concerns and even sent him many pictures of my unclean home. He said he would fix the problem, but when I asked for a different cleaner, he insisted it be the same person. When the cleaner came back a second time, she left 20 minutes after arriving, saying that she had an appointment she could not miss. After leaving, she left my front door wide open, with no one home. Both the cleaner and Shawn told me they would be coming back for a 3rd time the following day. I said no and asked for a refund. They had already charged and received the full amount in addition to a 20% tip, $280 dollars. I tried to call Shawn, but he said that he could only text. So I told him that I did not want them coming back to my home a 3rd time and that I needed to be fully reimbursed. Once again, he insisted they come back for the 3rd time. He then proceeded to type the following words; I will copy them verbatim: referring to my home, he said "it must have been in bad shape to be honest, we should've charged more", "it's not our fault that you did not give us proper expectations ", "you could've communicated with me but you chose not to", and referring to my home "it was extra dirty". He also insisted again after I said a third time that I no longer wanted to work with them that it would be best for them to come back. My final txt to him was that they would not be coming back to home and that I would no longer communicate with him. It has been five days since the cleaner came into my home and did not clean, and they have refused to reimburse my $280 dollar payment. I have already contacted my bank to dispute their payment, and my bank was so concerned that they are opening an investigation. I am also filing this Better Business Bureau statement. Do not trust this business.
