Stopped into The Blend in Oneida expecting a smoothie, not a flavored water with a 30-minute wait time. We ordered a Cherry Bomb and a Strawberry Mango smoothie and both had the flavor profile of a melted ice cube. If you're into hydration with a hint of regret, this place nails it. We waited 28 minutes for two small drinks - not in line, that was the total time from order to handoff. When we asked for a straw and a spoon, the lady behind the counter looked at us like we'd just requested gold-plated forks. No smile, no "sure thing!", just pure confusion and a bad attitude like we were the ones who made her wait. The ambience was actually nice , we can give them that. It had that trendy, modern smoothie-bar feel. But if you're looking for flavor, speed, or basic customer service, The Blend might not be your jam (pun intended). Hopefully they tighten things up, because with some tweaks, it could be a great spot. Right now? Not a chance. read more

The smoothie bowls are to die for and the presentation is beautiful. It is our top place to order out for lunches and the girls do a great job at filling a large order into a box to carry. We did have one occasion where a bowl was forgotten with our order. When we called they suggested we use a food delivery app to come get it. Good customer service would offer a complimentary bowl on next order. We order on the app when they open for a pickup time at least an hour later. They do get very busy and I highly suggest to order ahead or you will be waiting. It is also disappointing to not have select items always available. They also recently changed to lattes, which were good, but they no longer offer iced coffee or cold brew. The bowls will keep my Business but will miss not getting and iced coffee. read more

We just had a baby shower here for my sister and the girls did such a great job. The food was delicious, and the decorations were gorgeous.. it was the perfect aesthetic. I've heard great things about the Oneida location but I visited the Sylvan beach one today and was dissatisfied. I am not the type to go out of my way and get people in trouble but I did want to make the Oneida location aware so they know of the issues I had today, I was pushed off and essentially told I was wrong for having the experience I did. Went into The Blend on Saturday looking to get a bite to eat. My mom and I walked in, picked up menus, and headed to the front to look at them for a few minutes before ordering. Three girls were working at the time - one was wiping off tables (we passed her on our way in, she looked at us but didn't say a word) & the two others were behind the counter (one at the register, other was picking things up). They all definitely heard us come in... it wasn't very busy. We begin to take a couple steps closer to the counter to order after we've been standing there, looking at the menus for a good 3 minutes. The woman pickings things up turns around and states that they are all sold out... the frustrating part was not even the fact that they were "sold out" over an hour before closing time, but the fact that they allowed us to be in the place for several minutes before saying a word to us and notifying us that we couldn't be served! Needless to say, we have already booked an event here and already have a bad taste in my mouth... What a disappointing first trip... read more

Christmas Eve at about 3pm my husband and I placed an order online for pickup (store closes at 5pm). Shortly after, we drove to the store only to find it locked. We assumed they closed early for Xmas and never shut down their online ordering. Fine. So, we left town for the holiday. When we stopped to eat at another location we noticed The Blend had tried contacting us to see if we were picking up our order (~40 minutes after we had left). I called them back and explained that the store was closed when we arrived earlier (~15 minutes before our order was due to be ready) and had already left the area. I assumed because the store had closed but still allowed us to order I would not be charged only to find out today that was not the case. Hence the 2 stars. I was charged $16 for food I never ate (and really wanted because it does look quite good!) because someone didn't do their job. read more

I stopped in quick today with my husband to check out The Blend. We are excited to see a place like this open up in Oneida! I love the restaurant. It's clean and modern. We ordered two smoothies to go, the blueberry vanilla matcha and strawberry banana. They were both incredibly good. My only small complaint is that the paper straws get wrecked pretty quickly. I love that they are more environmentally friendly but the straw opening on the lids is sharp and pierced my straw. However, this was easily remedied by just removing the lid. We will definitely be back soon to try more flavors. read more

Sadly I'll be changing my review from 5 stars to 1. When I first started ordering the blend many months ago i would order their waffles. Obsessed. They stopped selling them. Then I kept trying new things. I ordered at least 1-3 times a week from the blend. Twice in one month I placed an order; drove there; and they were closed. I reached out and their reasoning was they couldn't close the store on the app... so for several days they let their customers place orders, and drive there only to be disappointed Instead of figuring out and solving the problem. Getting frustrated at this point BUT I still love their food. So ignoring it. We started ordering the fruit parfait with a chocolate and bananna base. Yuummm. Another couple months later they adjusted the options and stopped allowing two base options. We called and asked if we could PAY EXTRA and get the two bases. She said no... Whatever, we just ordered something different. We finally get to the store yesterday morning to pick up our order. My fiancé asked why they stopped and she advised him they were wasting too much food by giving two different bases. We both order a banana and chocolate base so he suggested well if you make one full banana and one full chocolate you just split it amongst the two cups it wouldn't be a waste. One of the female owners then responded "if I do it for you I have to do it for everyone" and then like a spoiled teenager she stomped away and ended the conversation as my fiancé stood there confused by her reaction, wondering if she was coming back...She didn't. We have probably spent upwards of $1000 at the blend this year. The one time we asked for an accommodation she has a tantrum and storms off, even after asking if we could pay MORE for it. This was very awkward and unprofessional and unfortunately the last straw for the blend. I don't mind paying extra at places like this because I love to support my local businesses. But when you have no respect for your customers it feels like I'm wasting my money. Good luck to you in the future. read more

if i could give it less than 1 star i would. drove all the way out from syracuse on my day off because i was recommended this place. after ordering a vegetable sandwich and a large lemonade (i also got a jelly for a friend) it rang out to $40. i thought that was a lot after tip for just a sandwich considering the day before i was downtown and paid for 2 cocktails, an entree and a desert for that much, but whatever. after i pay they tell me itll be 30 minutes and ask for here or to go(i said for here). 25 mins later i go back and i wait where finally they ask if i ordered already (no one has been in this place, how do you not recognize me?) then give me a bag with my food in it. i sit down and open up the box (honest mistake putting it as to go) and im presented with essentially ingredients on cold white bread. something i could make better at home in BULK for less than $40, PLUS waiting half an hour for a thrown together dish. maybe their smoothies are better but either way its a lot of money for nothing. no wonder the place is empty. read more
