It is on the part of the seafront which is furthest from the city center making for easy parking. It is perfect if you want to unwind in a comfortable and down-to-earth bar. Make sure you take a look at the beautiful building above the pub. Friendly and crazy atmosphere, Tino is the owner, karaoke and happines and, of course, good beer!

Pub Santa Lucia was the only place we could find to watch the women's olympic volleyball final…read morematch in Venice that was within a 10 min walk from our hotel. (You would've thought USA vs Italy would've attracted more local attention.) SL was a tiny place, but thankfully mostly empty; we plopped ourselves down and ordered some cold beers (pilsner for me, it being a hot afternoon). They had a decent beer list here - several standard styles from the British isles. I noted they also had some locally made brews (I didn't try them) plus Guinness (a necessity for such a place). The vibe wasn't very Irish beyond the decor and dark interior. The bartender was playing some euro pop on the sound system. Snacks were offered - mostly bread rolls, small sandwiches, and cuts off some oblong pizzas. We sampled a few of the latter to go with our beers. (They were OK.) As for the volleyball, the USA got spanked. Thankfully no celebration from the other side; most of the other patrons were either Americans or Brits. And the Italian bartender didn't seem to care. It's not clear why so many previous patrons have awarded a full 5 stars for SL. (Vacation glee?) For us it met a basic need but was priced high for tourists. Played nothing but American music while we were here. Mostly 90s grunge and classic rock. Right up my alley! They have a full bar and can make pretty much anything you want. The taps are flowing with authentic Italian beers! Overall, I had fun and would recommend it.

We had a snakebite which consists of angry orchard and Guinness beer at home but here it was a type of grenadine, Peroni and an Irish beer. Super delicious. The place has a dehors (both in the front abd on the back yard) as well as multiple floors. Both the personnel and the owner speak English. The king of the castle is the irish beer, but, whenever the owner is behind the counter... the drinks are strong and awesome. The food is so and so, some times it is awesome, other times not so much... but, when the booze and the company makes up for 90% of your night... who cares about the rest!!

Good variety of beers, ciders and mixed drinks and all are decently priced. The crowd is a mixed bag of tourists, college students and some locals but the vibe is relaxed and although it can get loud and a little tight inside, it's a good time.

We went here on our last night in Italy, and it was the absolute perfect way to end our honeymoon! The bar makes truly fantastic cocktails (which are hard to find in Italy actually if it's something other than beer or wine), and we were craving an Old Fashioned and some music...and this had both. The band, which I cannot remember the name of now, consisted of a pregnant singer who was absolutely phenomenal, and a few other guys (drummer, guitar etc). The cocktails, service, music, and general vibe was so fun, warm, and welcoming! Loved this place and grateful we found it...one of our favorite memories of Venice!
