I cannot say enough wonderful things about Dr. Sabadish. I've had dogs, one after another, since…read morechildhood, and have interacted with many vets throughout my life, some great, some not so much. Dr. Sabadish really stands out. When my husband's beloved pug, Wally, was old and ailing, Dr. Sabadish provided thoughtful and compassionate care not just for the dog, but for my husband. She clearly wanted the best for his dog and for my husband. She considered cost concerns automatically, without being asked. When it was time to end Wally's pain, Dr. Sabadish was extremely calming and kind. I'm tearing up just thinking about it. We have one dog left who is the sweetest, gentlest creature on earth. He is now middle-aged/senior and has had some health concerns cropping up. I'm pretty obviously a high-anxiety dog parent, but Dr. Sabadish doesn't blink at patiently answering all of my questions and giving us her detailed thoughts, presented without sugarcoating, yet with compassion. She is obviously extremely smart and clearly truly loves animals, but the thing that stands out even more about Dr. Sabadish is how good she is with the people who love those animals. At this point, I would not trust my amazing dog to any other veterinarian. As for Hidden Valley in general, we have had nothing but easy, positive, friendly interactions with everyone there. We are really impressed.

The office manager was cavalier about my 'unfortunate' added expense and her failure to follow up to make sure that I was notified (she clearly is not living on retirement funds). Their corporate office is likely ecstatic for the additional cash which is why their 'notice' was buried among their own weekly spam emails and the other barrage of emails that I/we all get. side note: when I made the appointment, I was not told/reminded about their cancellation of my pet insurance, either. When I've tried to address my concerns with employee Dan he's had a terrible attitude. Dan's attitude comes as no surprise, as today I tried to address my concerns with the owner, Dr. Fisher, himself, who was rude, combative, defensive and unprofessional to the say the least. When the owner behaves the way Dr. Fisher did, it's no wonder employees like Dan feel empowered to behave rudely and disrespectfully to customers, as well. This business is a racket operating under the guise of "veterinary hospital" and should be investigated by Wake County.

Oak Heart Veterinary Hospital got us in quickly and the entire team was incredible from the moment we walked in. The front desk staff and vet techs were kind, efficient, and genuinely great with Piccolina, they even let her bring her stuffed bunny into the exam room. Dr. Ally Gean was outstanding. She did a thorough exam, explained everything clearly, and helped diagnose the issue without pushing unnecessary tests or procedures. I really appreciated her honesty and how easy she was to talk to. They also went above and beyond with the medications. Piccolina's liquid anti-inflammatory was pre-measured into individual syringes, with extra in case we lost any while giving it. Such thoughtful, practical care. I walked out extremely impressed and very grateful. Highly recommend Oak Heart and Dr. Gean!

I am highly disappointed with this veterinary hospital. They have a new front desk person (Taylor)…read morewho is totally unprofessional. Taylor decided to speak to us as if we were children. Her demeanor was condescending and nasty. We have brought our fur baby to this veterinarian since he was a little puppy. To date, unfortunately, anytime he had an appointment with Dr. Midkiff, there was an issue. The other vet, who is the owner of the establishment, was always kind and attentive. This is sad, as she is allowing Dr. Midkiff and the new staff to bring the business down. I will no longer tolerate my fur baby being mistreated by this place. Nor will I condone being spoken to like a child by their uneducated assistant. As a professional with several degrees, I expect to be treated as such. My advice to anyone regarding this place is to look elsewhere! There are so many great Vets in Cary that truly appreciate the customer. This place definitely is not it for sure. Furthermore, If I could have given less than 1 star, I truly would have.

I asked for him back within a day, stating I would continue his in patient care but I was not equipped for the at home care I was offered. This kitten was beloved to not just me but my little family as well. Our love felt as though as if were simply just not as valuable. While I understand legality issues here, it feels like a slap in the face as I put my heart on my sleeve for these people, automatically tried to rescind a decision I felt I was panicked into making fully intending to continue his intensive care without a hitch, and they allowed time to pass so other people had time to get attached to a kitten who was one of one to our family who is already experiencing so much grief. It would've been nice to have a small bit of happiness in this time, but instead I am told how selfless and compassionate I am by people who lack the ability to pay that forward. I wish Ponyboy all the best with his new family, but I will never accept the fact that my love wasn't big enough for him. He will always be part of my family's story, and he will be remembered as a kitten that is so deeply loved. Thanks again for everything, I just truly wish it didn't have to be like this.
