Every place I called in town was booked and I ended up finding a vacancy here. I had never been here before, and let me tell you, I'm glad everything in town was booked, as I might not have had this experience. It was so nice I ended up staying a second night. It's a gem, especially if you're looking to see Bear-tooth pass on your way to Yellowstone. The scenic pass begins just a few miles down the road. It's approximately 3-4hrs over the pass to the next town and the NE entrance to Yellowstone; but, the Pass took me about 5hrs with all the stops I made for pictures. 2 bears is a great spot to rest before making that final push into Yellowstone. Nestled on the side of a mountain up a long winding gravel driveway, it's private, yet, very close to town; which, Red Lodge, is fun, quaint, unique, classy, clean and has some excellent restaurants and shopping as well as fun night-life. Bear Tooth Pass is breathtaking. The breakfasts served are diverse, scratch made, unique, delicious, and the best I've had in the country. Barb makes sure to ask what allergies you might have, what kind of dishes you like, and she always adds her own twist. You won't leave hungry, or disappointed, as the breakfast is comparable to something you'd find in a lavish restaurant. The ambiance is exactly what you'd expect for a cozy mountain retreat that feels like family and home. There are numerous private cabins; as well as, rooms in the lower level of the main cabin. I stayed in the lower level of the main cabin and the bed was so comfortable, the bathroom was large and the tub was large enough for a 6'2 man to soak. The rooms, baths, linens, and cabins are well decorated, high quality, and exceptionally clean. Highly recommend

Our room was large, nicely decorated, quiet, and very comfortable. The owner Barb, is warm and friendly, without being intrusive. She cooked and served a delicious breakfast each morning, that enjoyed with another couple, upstairs in her big, open kitchen. Everything was perfect and we would love to stay here again.

From the moment we arrived it was like we were greeted by a big warm hug! Their help navigating the park was so helpful, breakfast was amazing and the only bad thing is we only stayed two nights. Our trip to Montana was amazing, and the first evening started with stay here. Ms Nance and Richard are such warm hosts. At breakfast they are a fountain of information about Gardiner and the Park. Breakfast was a wide array of delicious choices, and Ms Nance is quick to adapt to your tastes if you stayed multiple nights. But Pro-Tip, tell her ahead of time if you have a particular want. We had a private room with a bathroom. It was very comfortable and warm. Especially considering it was below zero at the time. They also leave out tea and snacks downstairs, so We enjoyed a cup of hot tea as we warmed up from our walk. Location! This wonderful home couldn't be closer to the park entrance. As well, they are walking distance to the local restaurants. It was the start of winter so I didn't get a chance to take advantage of fly fishing, but Richard owns Parks Fly Shop, just around the corner. Book a stay here! You will love it!
