Well, as a fan of good food first, eaten in nice restaurants with warm atmosphere and smiling waiters I must stop you from going to this place. Honestly it crossed our minds to pay for the drinks and leave seconds after our first bite. But we'll get to that in a minute. First ... The story of how we got there: it was sooo coooold outside and not many restaurants were opened for dinner at 17,30 so we checked yelp, trusted the 2 previous reviews for this restaurant and went for a worm tea and something spicy to eat. The inside of this place looks cheap enough without it's goofy looking waiter dressed in sweatpants and a t-shirt and the electric heater "hidden" in plain site... under a table. So obviously we were thinking the food must be amazing in order to determine the other reviewers to award it 4 stars. As it turns out the food is almost nicely plated, simplistically, but without it's usual "something green, something red" on top. Hmmm... That's what 1 star was for because the food itself... We could smell the ginger without any effort and we were thinking "boiled for hours", not "fried for seconds". That's just wrong! In a pure masochistic urge to belive the other reviewers we tasted the meat (beef cooked Cantonese style in a chilli oil) and we could not taste anything but the peppercorns on top of ginger. I think this is what they mean by fusion cuisine (advertised everywhere), mix the abnormal (techniques and ingredients) in the usual (ingredients). Because nothing in that menu is anything more than chinese or, for about 5 dishes, thai. At one table next to us the plates were half-full when they left. Oh well, that makes me think it wasn't just our taste buds. I am sad when people choose to spend their money on bad food. I hope you don't! read more
