I told him to not buy me a new bike, I just wanted My Bike tuned up. He went to Cycle Therapy. They sold him a new bike. (It was going to be about the same amount of money to buy a new bike as it would be to overhaul my old bike). Upon seeing my "new" bike I called the store and ended up talking to the owner Ric. I explained that I wanted my old bike back and tuned up. They still had it and Ric offered to allow me to return the new bike and that they would go ahead and overhaul my old bike for me. Chris and Chad did a GREAT job. I am so happy. But here is the best part... the customer service. All of the team members at Cycle Therapy were totally about making us happy. Honestly, I think they were trying to save my hubby money by selling him a new bike (did I say my Trex was old...it's super old). In the end, they overhauled My Bike for the same price as we had paid for the new bike (that might sound like a lot to pay for a tune up - it would be, but this was an Overhaul...as in darn near built me a new bike on my old frame....). All the while, the Team was sooooo accommodating, pleasant, (they could have turned their noses up at My Bike, but they just seemed to understand that I like my old bike) and they wanted to make it right for me in any way possible. I am in a front-facing customer service job myself and when I experience EXCELLENT CUSTOMER SERVICE, which is rare these days, I want to let the world know - so here it is! 5 Stars - Amazing Service!…read more I came into Tacoma Bike to pick up some new tubes and a shifter cable for my bike. After checking it out, the tech let me know I actually needed a new derailleur. I asked if there was any chance they could install it that same day since I was hoping to ride with my wife the next day. Even though they were just minutes from closing and had other bikes to finish, the tech went above and beyond--he stayed a few minutes late to swap out the derailleur for me since it was a quick job. As a new rider, I really appreciated the extra help and kindness. Huge thanks to the team at Tacoma Bike for taking care of me. I'll definitely be back!

Guy town bikes is the best! I wrecked my bicycle a of couple years ago and it rode fine however,…read moresome of the gears would skip when riding hard or uphill, and there was also a knocking noise. I thought I'd deal with both, but then I finally just decided to take it in to get looked at...I took it to Guy town bikes for just a gear adjustment at first. When I got my bike back, it rode great however, the knocking was still bothering me so I took in again to get that addressed. He changed out the bracket and now it rides like a dream!! His prices are great and he is upfront with what is likely the problem and an estimate of the cost and he will text if anything comes up during the service. I have to imagine I saved a ton of money rather than taking it to REI where I purchased my bike from... definitely a customer for life.

He's been doing this for years and it was certainly obvious. He had a wide selection of used bikes, which looked new to me for sale. I own many bikes, including a tandem and a triple and have been in multiple bike shops over the years. This was the most reasonable and most competent mechanic I've ever met. Yoshi not only helped me find the right shoe with support and comfort, they went out of their way to find an insole that was going to help correct a fallen arch that I had not discovered I had... I always thought you either have an arch or you don't--unbeknownst to me you can correct it. So now, I'm leaving feeling taken care of even more than some of my doctors. It's nice to see even at a sporting goods store there are people who are passionate and caring, thanks Yoshi! :)
