This place is a preferred provider for state farm and that meant there was an extra warranty that went with the windshield and also just a very easy communication between the two. The worker on the phone was super nice and helpful and got me set up within a few days for a home visit appointment. The technician called when they were close to my property replaced and recalibrated my windshield. The whole time they communicated what they were doing and were fairly quick with it all. One thing to keep in mind, which I didn't even think about, is if you have tinted windows they do not provide tinting. So if that's something that you need, either do that as a separate part of your claim if using insurance, or find a spot that does both if on a time crunch. It doesn't take away from the fact that they were wonderful to work with though.

It was close to 8:00 AM when I made an appointment with Preferred for between 8:00 AM and 10:00 AM that same day. I figured since it was so close to 8:00 AM they probably wouldn't be out until closer to noon. At 9:02 AM I received a call from Andy to let me know they were on their way and would be at my location in about 20 minutes. I really appreciated the call. They arrived 15 minutes later and confirmed the price which was a flat fee with no extra hidden fees or recycling charges like other companies charge. As I mentioned, out of several quotes I received, Preferred had the lowest price. They also didn't need photos, VIN, or the license plate number like some of the other companies did. They simply told me the price and offered appointments within a 2 hour range. I picked one and that was the extent of our conversation. No back and forth like with the other companies. Andy was great. He was very personable, respectful, friendly, professional, confident, and answered all my questions. He made me feel like I was in good hands and that he was an expert. Andy told me it would take about 45 minutes which was very accurate Other companies quote a time of 60 to 90 minutes. Andy and Julian not only replaced the rear glass but also vacuumed all the shattered glass pieces that were on the rear deck, back seats, and the floor. It was a mess so the fact they took the time to vacuum the glass pieces left a great impression. Not only that, they folder up my sun shades and tucked them neatly between my seats. Seems like a little thing but the fact they did something extra that wasn't necessary shows how much they care. They also have an impressive service truck with everything they needed loaded in the back and an extensive website. It shows they are serious about the business. I highly recommend Preferred. Five stars all the way. I am very happy with the price and service I received. You can get quotes from other companies if you want to be sure, but I wouldn't waste the time. Preferred had the best price, quickest response, and fantastic service reps. I am sure the owner is proud.

I called first class and spoke to CHRIS. He was kind, empathetic, and understood my frustration. I've heard and seen Safelite's commercials on the radio and TV for as long as I can remember, so when I finally needed a windshield replacement, they were the first company that came to mind. I called and spoke with a representative. She was very friendly and collected all the necessary information. She explained that because my daughter's car is a newer model Honda, it wasn't eligible for mobile service -- it required recalibration that could only be done at their Henderson location due to the size of the equipment. She asked if I wanted to use my insurance, but I told her I preferred to pay out of pocket to avoid potential increases in my premiums later. She then worked on a quote. After about 21 minutes of questions, she finally gave me a price: $877.82. She broke it down as $382.82 for the windshield and $495.00 for the recalibration. I asked if that was the total out-the-door price, and she said yes. I went ahead and scheduled the appointment since she told me there was only one slot left on Saturday. To my surprise, when the appointment confirmation email arrived, the total price was even higher -- $944.85. How did the price jump from what she quoted me? That's a $67.03 increase from the total she had promised. I was shocked and immediately went online to cancel the appointment. Afterward, I called several other auto glass repair companies around the Las Vegas Valley, and all of them quoted me less than half of what Safelite was charging. Most also said my daughter's car was eligible for mobile service and that recalibration was included in the price. I literally wasted over 25 minutes of my time with Safelite and their bait-and-switch pricing tactics. Very disappointing. I would not recommend them based on my experience. If you do decide to use them, make sure you're actually paying the price they quoted -- otherwise, you might be in for a surprise after the install. Oh, and one last thing -- when I tried to cancel my appointment online, Safelite offered me a $100 discount to keep it. So they raised the price, then tried to give me $100 off to stop me from canceling? What kind of nonsense is that? So shady. Although their customer service was excellent, there are plenty of other places around the Valley with much more reasonable pricing. I suggest doing your due diligence and calling around for quotes before scheduling. Know your options folks!

I could not be more pleased with the overall results, especially given the unusual heat wave Vegas has experienced. Both visits I was in by 9am and out by 11-1130...on a Saturday! My car looks amazing but more importantly, my menopausal self isn't overheating this summer even with the AC on full blast!!! Seriously - I can't stand being hot and in the 8 years I've owned this car, getting my windows redone was never a priority - until it was. I'm not joking about menopause - I'm super sensitive to heat now and let me tell you...when I say the difference inside my vehicle was immediately obvious, I'm not joking. Not only did it reinforce the dealership NOT tinting my windows even though they charged me for it - the ceramic tint actually works!!! I can feel my AC so much better than I could before and I'm finally cool inside my vehicle during the day. I have a panoramic sunroof I've never opened in spring/summer because it's always been too dang hot to enjoy during the day. I've been driving around with it fully opened since my windows were done and I'm loving it! I also have serious nightblindness - which is what prompted me to have the windshield done to begin with. Headlights have come a long way in brightness since I got my license in 1987, and as that has advanced...so have my vision issues. Before having the windshield done, I rarely drove at night. During winter I leave my office at 4pm so I'm home before it's dark. Since then, I find myself driving more at night (not a lot or often) and not rushing to get home before dark. When I am out on the roads at night, I'm no longer as worried about being blinded by headlights as I once was. It didn't solve my vision issues, but it's certainly helped cut down the amount of light hitting your retina at night, blinding me. My rear window is the darkest I could get given my windows are stained from Acura and WOW!!! Headlights aren't blinding me in the side and rearview any more either. The owner and his brother - heck, all the staff really - have been great and pleasant to interact with. These guys know their stuff and if I had another car, I'd take it to them. But since I don't - that's what this review is for.
