My husband and I had stopped in here. We took into consideration it is a Holiday and very busy. Although our original order was lost, therefore we had to wait 45 to get served. It's not often I give a one star review. This was by far one of the most horrible experiences ever. It was on our vacation at that. When I try a new place I never know what to expect, especially being away from home. What drew me to this place was the 45 beers on tap. We got there and noticed there was a restaurant and a bar connected. We went through the outdoor court yard straight to the bar. The seating inside was really small and we had to wait a minute before anyone came to greet us. Finally a bartender showed up and took our drink order. He gave us our beer and disappeared. After having a few sips of his beer, my husband noticed lipstick on his glass. Let me point out that we just left the beach and I obviously didn't wear makeup to the beach. It was not my lipstick. So we had to wait for the bartender to come back. Finally he came back and we pointed out the problem and ordered a different drink. We also placed an order for a burger and chip and guacamole. I figured the chips and guac would come out first. Nope! His burger came out and then the chips and guac. How does that make any sense? New paragraph because this is wear it really goes down hill. My husband's burger was burnt. Now while I'm not a burger eater I do know the different between burnt and not burnt. The reason he knew it was burnt was because he took a bite and had a horrible burnt taste in his mouth. So he opened his bun and saw the burger. On top of that he paid to add bacon to the burger and found one little strip. Obviously he was not happy. Again we wait for the bartender who disappeared. When he returns we let him know the problem. He got the manager. She immediately greets us with an attitude and tells us that the burger is not burnt it's caramelized and she can't take it off the bill. WAIT, HUH? Seriously?! Did I mention she has now touched his burger and is still refusing to take it off the bill. My husband takes a layer of the burger off showing her it's a layer of dry, burnt, meat. She still says it's caramelized because of the seasoning. This doesn't even make sense! We refused to pay for this burger. So she says she is going to go talk to the cook and walks away. She comes back after a while and said she called the owner who said she could take if off the bill but if we order anything else we have to pay for it and she has to keep the burger to show the owner. We don't want the burger and are not ordering anything else, nor will we return. That was the worse customer service ever! read more

This tap room is part of the Mosaic Tapas Bar. There is a lot of beer on tap, and plenty of Louisiana breweries can be found. My wife and I arrived to find the bar empty with no staff, after waiting a few minutes we got a not so exciting welcome from a staff member that had no beer experience and could not provide any details or information regarding styles, taste, brewery names, etc. He also did a horrible job pouring my beer. We sat and drank our two pints and the staff member never bothered to come back and check on us, looked like he was running between the two locations. Another staff member arrived and proceeded to talk with another customer about trying some samples of different styles, but this staff member never acknowledged us either. Not a poor rating because of beer or location, but because of staff. If you are going to have a tap house that promotes tons of craft beer, you need to staff it with informed and caring employees. Excellent pub with a wide variety for a small town, 45 beers on taps and most of them from micro breweries. I loved the tempura chicken tenders and the guacamole. I'm so happy I went to Mississippi if only for this amazing place! They had about 40 beers on tap and many local ones, Mississippi, Louisiana, Tennessee, Arkansas, and a few other states, but I had heard of those. It was the deep south that I hadn't ventured into in my beer adventures. The bartender was AWESOME! I want to be her friend. She was extremely knowledgeable about every single beer and had already come up with mixes. She let me try about four 3 oz pours before I even decided on what I wanted. She also was very attentive and pointing out what her favorite food items where as well as providing us with that good old southern hospitality. Nic and I really wanted to try the Lazy Magnolia beer because it was brewed only a few miles away in Kiln, Mississippi, and oh man so glad we did! We tried the Pecan Brown ale as well as the Indian Summer, which we later discovered were at most restaurants, as they are the go to beer here. Best brown ale ever, and the Indian Summer was the perfect summer beer, light, flavorful, and crisp. Nic had the Southern Hops'pitality, which is aged in an oak barrel and oh my word, so good! It was right in between a sour and IPA, a little steep at $9 for a 10oz pour but again the bartender proved how awesome she was by filling the cup all the way to the top so Nic (and i!) could enjoy more. I also tried a beer from the Yazoo Brewery in Tennessee called Hop Project, another perfect IPA. If you ever come across any of these beers at a festival or happen to travel to Mississippi, I HIGHLY recommend them. I want to go back. Upon recommendation, we ordered the jalapeno poppers. Usually I don't go for fried bar foods and jalapeno poppers are usually some of the worst, however these were the best poppers I have ever had! They were whole jalapenos in an extremely light and flavorful batter served with some chipotle sour cream, with a perfect amount of cheese on the inside so it just started to ooze out on your first bite. So simple, yet so good. Southerner know how to fry food right and that is coming from this Mn girl where we have one of the best state fairs in the country! This place was a hidden gem and a very unexpected find on our trip to the Mississippi coast. 45 beers on tap - several of them local craft brews. If you're into craft beer, the Beer House is the perfect place to take in the local flavor. We checked it out on a Monday night (and went back again the next evening). It was a very slow night, but perfect as we were able to take it all in and sample several selections before settling on a couple choices. Rachel was amazing...knowledgeable and friendly. She was able to tell us about the local craft breweries and suggested some beers to sample based on our style preferences. So we head in around 5ish, sit at the bar, get greeted by 3-4 servers but never have our drink orders taken. So we wait about 10 mins - nothing. We ended up leaving because servers walked past us without drinks and didn't even say anything like "someone will be right with you." We went to another bar, had a drink, then went to dinner, and we decided to go back to Beer House to give it a second chance. SAME THING! Waited about 10 mins, one man walked past and asked us if we had been helped and when we said no he just walked away. We waited about 5 more minutes and then left again. Ridiculous. Won't be back unfortunately, we wanted to try their beer but they didn't want to serve us I guess. read more

So I'm not one to leave reviews after the first time (Thats what She said!), but after my experiance today I have to. I'm new to the area and decieded to stop at this place given its other reviews. Its a nice bar with a patio and live music, again the staff is friendly, and I had a chance to meet some people and have some good beer and good conversation. Ended up staying and drinking more than I planned to. ALL that aside, I'm writing this review because of the GM/Bartender Tony. After drinking my fill, I go out to my car to go home, and nothing. Batteries completly dead. Tony comes out, tried for about 20 mins to give me a jump and helps me figure out why my battery died in the first place(not gonna go into details about that). He then gives me and my dead battery a ride to the auto store to charge it up. Again, this is a Saturday afternoon/early evening and although the bar wasn't super busy, he did not have to go out of his way. I know southern hospitality is a thing (Im from the Midwest and we're friendly too!), but it isn't always practiced, and karma dictates reciprication. Tony, you have a customer for life!, no matter what place you're running. And although I can't verify it for myself (yet!), several people say he's the best chef in the south! So if you happen to be in the area, Please go check this place out, I can literally tell you I've been to no place better in Mississippi Gulf Coast. read more

Decent selection of draft & bottled beers. The staff has been friendly and helpful. This is a place connected to a bar/ restaurant so you can order food and cocktails too. DO NOT DO IT though. They have been really really bad. Just stick with your beer, you've been warned! By the way I don't care for those popular domestic lager (what I call carbonated water) but I like that they always have some local brew and many craft beers to choose from. You must try the Crooked Letter Brewing from Ocean Springs, MS! So tasty. While seated at the bar and choosing beers from the tap list, they are happy to give you a small "taste" pour before committing to a full glass. How awesome is that! Outside seating is great when the weather is nice. They frequently have live music too. I personally would frequent this place more if they didn't have live music because it gets too loud to enjoy conversation. Go there on Sunday cause I *think* they offer 2 for 1 special. read more
