We have also eaten here for dinner, having been fans of Chef Jake's food at their restaurant in Brooklyn, Le Fond, and every meal we've had at the inn has been exceptional. The grounds are beautiful, as are the accomodations. Our guests were all so happy with their rooms, the staff, and the attention to details throughout, like being greeted by chocolate chip cookies fresh out of the oven. If you are looking at planning an event or wedding, Caroline is absolutely the best - attentive, detail oriented, and with superb communication skills. The service from the entire staff was incredible. We loved NBI for our wedding but if you are just looking for a cozy Catksills weekend with impeccable food and excellent vibes and service, North Branch Inn is the spot. The resort is nestled in the Catskills surrounded by lush greenery and the smell of nature. The property is beautiful, very clean, and has that cozy modern woodsy aesthetic. It's perfect for a weekend getaway or if you just want to escape in nature for a couple of days. On the map the property looks huge, but everything is pretty quick to walk to. Our room was so lovely, and there is no TV which really gets you to be disconnected. There is a huge pool, with floaties and a truck side bar which was closed but is open on the weekends. There's also a sauna and gym which is overlooking the views of green hills. There is a nice lounge/communal area next to the cafe/reception where you can hangout and play all sorts of board games and have a nice drink. Outside there is also a covered area with a ping pong table, giant jenga, and connect 4. Each night they have a fire pit, weather permitting with smores. One of the nights it was raining so sadly no fire pits for smores, one of the staff members was so kind to heat up some smores for us and some other guests and it was nice to just have that little treat to make up for the weather. You can explore the beautiful grounds, where on a short walk across the road is their barn where they host weddings, a large pond, and if you walk further down you'll find yourself next to a stream. All the staff were so friendly and accomodating. I imagine it's more busy on the weekends especially when their pool bar and on site restaurant is open. It was a magical place. Callicoon Hills is a property that appears to have been designed for Instagram before it was…read moredesigned for guests. And frankly, once you get there, the instagram photos just look like dupes. We booked a stay expecting an elevated Catskills getaway based on the property's marketing, pricing, and branding. Instead, we arrived at what felt like a hotel that was not ready to be operating at the level it advertises. Our room showed visible signs of unfinished renovation, including unpainted wall patches where fixtures had been removed, remnants of painter's tape, damaged paint on the door, and a bathroom barn door that would slide open on its own. The room was aesthetically minimalist to the point of being impractical (but not even that cute), with very little surface space and a surprising lack of outlets. The larger problem was the number of amenities and experiences that were unavailable or poorly executed. We were informed after check-in that dining service would be significantly limited due to a soft opening. The pool was not operating. Weekend yoga was unavailable despite being marketed. Parts of the property contained boxes and visible signs that preparations for the season were still underway. None of this was communicated before arrival. The food experience was equally disappointing. There was no vegetarian dinner option during our stay, which is difficult to understand at a hotel catering to a NYC weekend crowd. Breakfast was slow, and bad to the point of almost inedible. Even small guest-facing details reflected a lack of attention. For example, the s'mores were oddly restrictive, short on supplies, and featured marshmallows that were so hard they were difficult to roast. What made the experience particularly frustrating was that many of these issues seemed entirely avoidable. Weather is outside a hotel's control. Failing to communicate unavailable amenities, opening before operations are fully ready, and charging premium prices for an incomplete experience are not. The entire stay felt like a triumph of branding over hospitality. While the property photographs well from the right angle and with much moved out of the frame, far fewer aspects of it function well.

As my mom and I learned, hotels in Sullivan County are pricy, but this place is doable for two room for a few nights. The motel has the usuals: tv, bed, mini-fridge, . My only complaint? Something about the motel is odorful. I don't know if it's my stepbrother or not, but I could smell the mildew. But granted, I have to say I got a really good night's sleep while I was there.

Seems like they were just changing the sheets & cleaning the toilet after each guest. I'm disappointed to leave this review...we are not picky people on decor or anything like that. We communicated through emails. Becky replied nicely and upgraded me to a queen bed room. Since I drove alone and not familiar with this area, she gave me a lot of useful advices and checked the routes for me (the bridge closed so I had to detour...). The next day before I left, she cooked homemade breakfast and let me take my time enjoy my coffee even though it was a little bit late. Usually I'm a very picky guest, but I love this place so much! Feel so thankful for her warm hospitality. Can't wait to go back soon! Highly recommended!!

From our first interaction with the owner, Becky, we had nothing but an incredible experience. We called to book the weekend, and since it was after the high season of summer, she gave us a special rate for two nights in the Honeymoon Suite. We sent her in a deposit, and called her the day of to confirm the best time of arrival. She was completely casual and accommodating and said to just stop by whenever. When we showed up, she gave us the tour of the Suite, which turned out to be the entire basement of her home! We had a private entrance, a working fireplace, a full ensuite bathroom with an incredible shower setup, a huge sectional sofa that could have fit at least eight people, a master bedroom with a queen size bed, as well as a second twin bedroom that we did not even use. Perfect if we ever go back and bring more guests with us! After we unpacked Becky invited us upstairs for wine and cheese with the other guests. I thought that sort of thing only happened in movies! She gave us some great recommendations for places to go for dinner, and asked what time we would like breakfast in the morning. When we said we were flexible, she said warmly, "well that works for me, you don't need reservations here!" The next morning we had delicious, strong coffee, I had eggs with green peppers and onions with oat nut toast, and my boyfriend had stuffed French Toast, two huge slices of Italian bread glued together with fresh sliced strawberries and ricotta cheese. We even started the meal with two generous slices of banana cream cheese coffee cake, some of the moistest, sweetest start to breakfast that we have ever had. Later that afternoon, she invited us back up to the kitchen for tea, and, you guessed it, slices of the leftover cake. For our second day, she surprised us with souffle apple pancakes, a cross between an apple pie and a pancake, a delicious, buttery, crusty sweet and savory concoction made in a cast iron skillet. Not only that, but since we were the only guests that morning, we had to eat the entire sinful cylinder ourselves - oh well! We washed it down once more with plenty of delicious coffee and some of her homemade sausage that was made locally. The estate her house is on is simply gorgeous, and is adjacent to rolling green pastures where her horses live. While there is no horseback riding (bummer), you can walk up to the fence to see them grazing and take some breath taking pictures. Her dog, Milo, a Sheltie, is a delightful host's accomplice, who loves to play fetch and get petted. We had a lovely, relaxing weekend in the country at Becky's Bed and Breakfast, and cannot wait for next fall when we return.

Happy Days Campground is a great Rustic Campground with tenting campsites as well as full hookups…read morefor RVs and campers at very reasonable rates ... The best thing, Happy Days is only 4 miles from one of the greatest attractions in New York ....Bethel Woods, the 69' Woodstock Concert Field and the historic Woodstock Museum (which is a must see... you'll thank me later). The campgrounds are covered in pine trees, so you awake to great, fresh smelling air. It's very clean. The showers, bathrooms and rec room were immaculate. I drove my RV here, but on the premises, you can rent well restored, classical 3-wheel campers for a minimal fee and spend the night in camping luxury (and instead of my gas guzzling RV, I'll bring my car next time, instead and still save).... Tim, one of the owners, is great. From his story, he had no intention of running a campsite. He was in corporate management. He came to Happy Days as a kid. When the woman who owned the site told him, he'd have to find another place to camp next year ... the wheels went into motion. This campsite is Tim and his brother's baby and the care and the high standards they have also shows in their appreciation of their customers ... and I'm sure that comes from having originally been a customer of the campsite. Make sure you make reservations in advance, especially when Bethel Woods has a concert planned for the weekend. I was going to stay an extra day but I waited too long. Booked for the Bethel Woods concert goers.
