I discovered Chasity isn't just an esthetician - if there's a biologist for brows - I would add browologist to her title. She's the only brow expert I have encountered who not only explained to me the anatomy of my natural brows - she made me fall in love with them again. Putting so much care and trust into the process of my brows, made me encouraged to continue my natural brow process rather abrasive skin treatments to provide a "fuller appearance" which I have been countlessly recommended. Her gentle touch ensured not even my super sensitive skin had a reaction after the wax and her after care explanation was amazing! Chasity is very openly communicative and accepting of natural brows and the transformation through natural growth - no matter what stage your brows are in (mine needed a lot of love). Her small business was quaint and her kindness was beyond, I'm so glad to have met someone who gets to know your brows as if their own child - I'm sure her fur babies have excellent natural brows, but THANK YOU for helping me start my transformation journey! So excited to continue supporting her small business and vision!

I personally have never been interested in microblading or tint or lamination -- just wax my brows! I finally have that here! Chasity stayed true to my brow shape and finally got a piece that so many other waxers were scared of pulling and it made such a huge difference! I'm obsessed! I also got my armpits waxed for the first time because the price was worth trying out and it makes a big difference in my everyday. It didn't hurt like I thought it would but that could be my own pain tolerance. the hair grew back slowly and a lot more thin and I'm excited to see how it'll help the discoloration in my pits because it's already starting to lighten. She also sets up such a nice vibe. She asked me what kind of music I like so that she can play it while she works and when I came in the second time, she already had it playing. I love that and think it's such a nice touch.

A Groupon deal brought me to Shear Design for my first visit, and now I'm hooked. I purchased a…read moredeal for $25 for a keratin moisture treatment, shampoo, and style. Finding the salon was tricky for me, I passed by it a couple times. Look for Curry Ford Plaza. The plaza is an L shape, and the salon is in the corner. It doesn't look like much from the outside, but you'll be surprised when you go in. When I arrived I met Sheila, the owner and hairdresser. She explained how she starts new customers with a thorough hair analysis. She said that my hair didn't really need the deep-moisture treatment I had purchased, but could use the protein on the ends (I have longish hair). She said since she wasn't doing the full moisture treatment she could give me a trim instead. I agreed to that, being close to due for a haircut, and pretty impressed with Sheila's detailed attention. She started with the hair trim by telling me the importance of studying the hairline to make sure the hair falls properly. She suggested some changes to my layers and suggested a small trim. Now, this has been a couple weeks, so my order of events might be slightly off, but what followed was a haircut, a shampoo, the protein treatment (with time spent under a hair dryer), another shampoo, and finally styling my hair. The whole process took about two hours. So, two hours spent on my hair for $25. At that point I felt like I was robbing poor Sheila. For the first shampoo she has a small closet-sized space in the back. She put warm blankets over me and did a bit of a scalp massage. It was so relaxing I nearly fell asleep. And the shampoo she used for me smelled like chocolate. So, for my Groupon I got way, way more than I expected. The haircut was great and the treatment left my hair feeling amazing (I was so sad when the chocolate smell wore off). I should add that she uses organic products and if you buy the shampoo you can bring your bottle back to refill (environmentally friendly). She also sells teas and adorable tea pots (she brews a tea of the day you can try while you are waiting). It's just one more awesome touch in an otherwise awesome place.
