Talk about a quintessential mom and pop bar that serves great, non-pretentious food. There were three choices of steak, and a few potato side dishes to choose from. No frills, all thrills. The steak was labeled as 12 ounces, but I'm not sure what their benchmark was. It was a heaping side of cow, easily 20-24 ounces. They treated the meat well, like royalty, and did their damnedest to NOT screw up quality ingredients. I ordered my steak medium rare, and exactly like so, it appeared before me like a magicians trick. A beautiful, meaty, delicious magicians trick. LoL. There was a fantastic hard sear on the outside, and inside, a gorgeous pink medium rare that just melted in your mouth. The owner was in the kitchen visible from our table, and didn't break a sweat cranking out plate after plate of tasty cow. I'd put this steak up against the best steakhouses I've been to around the world. Who knew you could get this at a joint like Harbor Bar and Grill, for a mere $25? The wing basket comes with fries and cole slaw but don't get the waffle fries unless you want a $3 up charge! They were very good waffle fries but had I known I wouldn't have opted for the extra $3 charge as the regular fries would have been plenty good to have as well.
