The problem for us is that we came up in a non 4x4 vehicle. When we booked we read the ad carefully and the only note about needing a 4x4 was that it may be needed in the winter--but we visited in the summer so this should not have been an issue. This was definitely misleading which lead to a lot of stress and frustration getting to the cabin. Seems there may have been a lot of rain that week. It's about 25 miles on a dirt road off the I-17 which took us about 90 minutes, then once in the town of crown king the cabin itself it up some very narrow and treacherous roads. I would absolutely NOT recommend you come unless you have a 4x4 or extensive experience driving in this type of terrain. We had a non 4x4 truck and struggled hard. Don't even think about it in a sedan.

Review Cabin Sedona…read more Booked a 1 night stay, we stayed in the Chicken Coop, the place was perfect for our family of 5. This places is 1hrs + drive in the dirt, going 6,000 ft elevation. We were able to drive up late at night, no problem. Did see a coyote, couple rabbits crossing our path and bats flying around. Made it to the cabin late 2:30am, but I did let the owner know I was coming from CA. When we got there she was surprise, that I even made it up there. Well I'm not going to pay for something and not stay there. If I say I'm going I'll definitely mean it! The owner just needs to work on guest experience no matter what time you get there, especially if it's your own business. Don't let your attitude ruining your business. Set your problems aside and run a business and if you can't find someone that can run your business. The reason why people leave on a getaway trip is to getaway from people like you and when they have to deal with them on a trip it kills the experience. Everything else was great, Beds where comfortable, has full kitchen and big fridge. All you need to bring is food and clothes.

The house is absolutely gorgeous...I really don't think the word cabin gives it justice...and it felt like our home away from home. It's easy to find, close enough to town to run in for something quick (like Starbucks), but in a completely residential area so that it's quiet and you really feel like you've escaped the city life. Every detail is thought of. We had plenty of extra blankets (beds were comfortable), the fireplace is easy to use, we utilized the grill each day we were there, there were a few games at the house, and we aren't even wine lovers but enjoyed the special welcome. You'll see! :) I would recommend the house for both groups of friends, and families, of all ages. Sitting on the deck staring into the trees was a real treat. We can't wait to go back!
