From the moment we arrived, the…read morestaff welcomed us with genuine kindness and treated us as if we'd been part of the ranch for years. The ranch itself is a treasure--old and full of character, with history dating back to the 1940s. I loved wandering through the original buildings, admiring the authentic architecture and décor, and flipping through the photo albums filled with memories from decades past. The team here is absolutely outstanding. The cooks, Jesse and her husband Jeff, made every meal feel like it came straight from a family kitchen--comforting, delicious, and made with care. In the front office, Lisa was friendly, organized, and always ready with a smile or helpful suggestion. And the wranglers, Wendall and Ritch, were simply the best I've ever had the pleasure of riding with. Their knowledge, patience, and humor made every ride unforgettable, and Wendall's personality in particular was a highlight of the entire stay. Being tucked away in Wickenburg--the roping capital--meant that daily roping competitions were part of the experience, adding excitement and authentic cowboy culture to each day. The trail rides were scenic and peaceful, offering a perfect way to soak in the Southwest landscape. On top of everything else, the ranch doubles as a stunning venue for weddings and corporate events. With its history, charm, and warm-hearted staff, it's hard to imagine a more perfect setting. If you're looking for a genuine dude ranch experience filled with heart, history, and unforgettable people, this is the place.

It was quite a drive up to the ceremony area. 4 wheel drive vehicles only recommended just for that. We had an amazing dinner cooked/catered from the Flying E staff. Everything was so delicious: steak, salad, baked potatoes, corn, rolls, and there were plenty of drink options & hors d'ouvres before the meal. Funfetti & chocolate cupcakes, white cake, & carrot cake were the dessert options. There was dancing, cornhole to play, S'mores to make, and a log coaster branding station. This is a great place for weddings. Once it gets dark, it's hard to see to get out and it gets dusty but if you like a western theme, this is definitely your place!

Slept amazing with fluffy pillows, comfortable bed, crisp linens, and the quiet of the desert. While this space seems to be off the beaten path, it is close to everything at the same time. The beautiful Estrella mountains are directly on their door step. My husband and I went exploring and hiked the mountains right out the back door. Had the mountains all for ourselves. (Attached a few pics) We had an amazing and delicious breakfast every morning (fresh sweet fruit directly from the trees on property too) and complimentary wine and beer every night. Watched the sunset from the hot tub. This place is truly a gem. The pictures on their website don't do it justice and if they promoted on social media, this b&b would be 100% booked and unavailable. A different breakfast each morning catered to your taste! the entire house and the grounds are a study in itself with collectible pieces from different parts of the world and from various eras. Don is an amazing interior decorator. The bnb was central to everywhere we were and and safety and traffic was never a concern. I liked the fact that the nightly price was all we paid. no hidden service fees, cleaning fees or taxes. the bill was exactly the price of 3 nights listed, not a penny more. a first to not experience a high bill with all the hidden fees. this bnb was well worth the money and far exceeded our expectations. Don and Tom have have interesting stories from the various professions in which they've worked, and will gladly chat with you during breakfast and/or dinner (at your special request) while you enjoy a six star culinary experience (all food is prepared by the more than competent Chef Don!). We slept in the Oriental Room. The mattress was every bit as comfortable as our own (we didn't miss a wink of sleep once we laid our heads on the pillows); and the light blocking curtains on the French doors allowed us to rise when we were ready. We were also pleased to relax on the patio adjacent to our room, with a cheerful fountain gurgling happily for ambiance. Each evening, we enjoyed sipping wine and relaxing in the comfortable backyard oasis with the fountain bubbling and flowing into the koi pond as Don prepared our savory dinner. We were especially thankful that Don cheerfully transported us to and from Sky Harbor airport, and even made a stop at Target for us to pick up some necessities on our arrival. But this wasn't the only time Don helped us with the details of our vacation. He is a very friendly, helpful and capable concierge (and I mean that in the most respectful way) - there is just no end to this man's talents! We are looking forward to future visits at Don's Elegante Bed and Breakfast.

It's only a steep, windy 15 min drive from the larger town of Cottonwood, but offers wonderful views and cute charm. I would highly recommend stopping here if you're visiting Central Arizona. The bed was slightly hard and the house is older but breakfast was great. Nancy even accommodated for my Vegan friend. You get your own entrance, living room, bedroom, garden patio and bathroom that sits below their main house. My only complaint was that I got - what I believe to be -altitude sickness because as soon as I went "down the hill" to Cottonwood, I felt significantly better. (5000 elevation to 3300). I've been in higher cities before, but never felt anything like this. A local told me it might have been due to the ghosts! Either way, I had a good time and took some nice photos.

We usually just go up for the day and check out the local shops, drink wine and eat food from "not chains." This time we wanted more as it was our two year anniversary AND the Jerome Historic Home Tour. I couldn't find a place but being the most resourceful gal ever, Rach nabbed what had to be one of the last rooms available in town. When we pulled up, I have to admit I didn't know what to expect. Once we got situated inside I realized what a great find Rach had really made. I really liked this B&B had only one guest suite as it has it's own separate entrance and patio that can see all the way to Sedona. B&B's to me always seem a little confined as the rooms are usually a little older and not much space to really relax. Not so at Hillside. I really like the separate living area with its great assortment of historical references on Jerome, (we came for a bit of history and were pretty impressed with what we found). And the back patio, it's quiet and has views that are tough to beat. The owners Nancy and Mike couldn't have been cooler as well. They gave us plenty of ideas for things to do in town and really made the experience that much more enjoyable. Breakfast was filling and delicious and the coffee didn't suck. Although there are a couple other places I am eager to see and stay in Jerome I am really looking forward to the next time I can spend time at Hillside. Oh, be sure to find the book about Ghost Towns. It's big and white and the pages for Jerome are falling out. Worth the find!
