Went here 2-3 years ago. Not sure if lash extensions are for me. However the owner of this place…read morehas very poor customer service and interpersonal skills. Operates from a small room in a beauty salon owned by someone else. Shes very brief. The lashes look beautiful as soon as she applies them on me, I took very good care of my lashes however more lashes fell out than I would have liked within the first week. This problem repeated itself for many weeks and I started to feel like either the glue wasnt strong enough or she wasnt applying glue to the very tip of the lash or close enough to the lash line. I understand the glue shouldnt come into contact with the skin but I could feel the gap between the lash line and the lash. I can feel the top of the lash stick out as it was starting to come off. It irritated my eyes and was too much to maintain over time so I stopped going to get lashes all together. Her attitude when I came for 50$ refills was awful. Its not my fault more lashes were lost than I would have liked even when I took utmost care of it. She was frustrated and almost seemed angry at me. She admitted that if she didnt like a client she would stop calling or picking up their calls, and thats exactly what happened to me. She also likes to gossip and tell me stories about her other clients... so I can see thats exactly what might be happening behind my back. She sends off a snobby/condescending vibe and always likes to talk about her designer handbags. Her daughter on the other hand was extremely friendly. Unfortunately she was pregnant at the time so I couldnt get very many appointments with her daughter. I would definitely recommend her, she's really sweet and when I went to her the lashes seemed to have stayed on a little longer than when her mother did it which says something. The reason why Im giving this place 2 stars and not 1 is because of the daughter and the one time I went to her to get my lashes done. Will not be going here again, opted to stick to my natural lashes regardless of how long it takes to do my lashes in the morning. Lash extensions are just not for me, they weighed my lashes down and it seemed like there wasnt enough curl. They did kind of make my lashes lose volume and near the end I did not have many lashes however within months of moisturizing and conditioning my lashes with oil and vasilene before bed, I fixed the issue. Also saved some money. But thats not the reason why I am giving 2 stars, its just the service. I definitely recommend the daughter.

First time at BikiWax and sugared by Van through an in-home service. I'm from Seattle, WA, and I'm…read morepretty picky about my sugarists (I have an awesome Aesthetician back home). Honestly when my girlfriend recommended Van I was skeptical to say the least and thought I was going into something shady cause you know, it's in-home and crazy things happen! Upon entering her studio what I found was unexpected. Van's small business is hands down the best place in Mississauga to get waxed/sugared and I will continue going back to her whenever I visit Toronto. Here's why: 1) Safe - She is the sweetest, soft-spoken, cute, humorous individual EVEERRR omg you know all I was thinking was "I hope this person isn't a weirdo" but thank the Lord she is safe, cool, and has two cute pugs. I'm scared of dogs but they're pretty cute hehe She was pregnant when I got my sugaring so I can't wait to see her baby when I come back! 2) Clean - If equipment and room is dirty I am OUT. BUT thankfully Van has high expectations with cleanliness and comfort. Using plastic gloves, face mask, trading out waxing sticks when using hard wax, etc. Walls are clean, pinted a cute muted baby color with educational posters about sugaring and waxes. Table you lay on is clean and comfy laid out with white paper. There are seats for others guests if you bring a friend. Floors were clean and nothing was dusty. 3) Professional - This girl keeps things professional. Provides the service and doesn't push you to do anything else. 4) Knowledgeable - She creates her own wax (a more dense kind and a soft kind) which is crazy bc I don't know how she mixes it but it lessens the pain when she sugars. Seriously. I get sugared every 3-4 weeks so I know what pain is. 5) Quick, Efficient, Detailed. "Leave no hair behind," That should be her motto bc I was so satisfied with her service. Hope this helps

This was my first time visiting this location - I needed to get a full face wax…read more I don't quite know why or how, but the esthetician tore a huge patch off my cheek during the wax. Maybe she was rushing? I have a wedding to go to and I'm feeling in the worst shape ever - a huge scab has developed on my face. She also spilled wax IN my hair, very careless. I paid EXTRA for a wax that's supposed to be good for sensitive skin because I didn't want to risk skin tearing. I know it's normal to have a small amount of skin tearing, but I have never had this experience before. Save your money. I paid about $80 including a tip and for a wax meant for sensitive skin. I'm also still plucking because there's still a ton of hair left. What a joke. Editing this review to add: I went BACK to the location to request a refund. I did NOT get a refund and the owner instead told me that I could get store credit - I'm sorry but who in their right mind would come back after such a bad experience. I had a wedding to attend the day after the wax, and I was mortified. I have NEVER had such an experience with waxing. The business has responded to the review basically blaming me for using "anti-aging" products. I use a Clarins moisturizer before bed - and it is not an "anti-aging cream". I'm sorry to say, the business owners are blatantly lying to you. I have NEVER seen such poor customer service, nor have I seen such a dishonest business policy. Just a note the wax that they try to sell you for "sensitive skin" - I did in fact use that! I believe the esthetician was rushing my service. You really didn't have to book me in if you were that busy. When I did go back into the store, the owner tried to sell me an intimate "brightening cream" for my private parts to use for my store credit. Are you serious? I have a scab on my face - why would you try to push an intimate cream. I have looked up the products that I redeemed for the store credit - again save your money and go ELSEWHERE.

Booked a pumpkin peel facial which was on a specula for the month of October. As soon as got there, was greeted by the front desk and offered water. Had to fill in the intake form. What was really cool is that they actually had a white board and marker for this. So basically the form was on a white board. Very cool and great initiative to save paper! Dea was my esthetician and she came out to greet me right away. Took me into the room and let me get settled. The room was nice and cozy, dark and very relaxing! Dea explained that she was putting on a cleanser and after cleaning did a quick skin analysis. We talked about my concerns, my goals and what her recommendations were. Then she got started on the facial. It was very relaxing. She was patient, gentle and through. Went through my extractions patiently and as painlessly as possible. The scalp and shoulder massage was phenomenal. After, she offered me a sample of the moisturizer she recommend for my dry skin. There is a huge variety of skin care products and most of them are clean and natural. They have a great recycling program where you can bring in your old bottles for a discount on your next purchase. They are into sustainability and green options, which is great! Loved how my face felt after and two days later it's fresh and glowing. Would love to go back!!

The waiting lounge is quite comfy, although I've never waited more than 15 minutes. With the haircut it includes a nice shampooing with hair and facial massage. They used to do also an amazing hand massage too, which included cold wax that left them feeling as fresh and new as a baby's one might feel... they don't do it anymore. My hair is done by my good friend Nia, who is great, cheerful and we always have an awesome conversation. I also do my pedi and manicure with Toni, who is great too.
