When you first enter it looks like time stood still since circa 1969! .35 cents for a local call, on a push button phone. Beer coolers from the 60s along with a 1950s? Cash register. However the barmaid and customers made it an EVENTFUL night. A lady patron was leaving, but her favorite song came on jukebox and she rushed thru the door doing a kick dance and proceeded to tell us she was from ferndale,in the past. Gentleman at bar said he used to live in hamtramck- soo struck up conversation with him. He brought over a mint Kit Kat bar - told us we had to try it. Sent him a beer ! 4 shots of fireball 3 beers - bill a whopping $21. Fun time !

I like the theme and vibe of the place - the play on bikes and name of the restaurant is perfect. Decor is bike themed but not overly done. Rustic and laid back. Our waitress was excellent - very friendly and attentive. All staff were wearing masks. Good drink menu in addition to food. A lot of small plate options but the portion sizes of the small plates could feed at least 2-4 people. I went with sweet potato fries and steak tender bites - delicious! The dipping sauces for the fries had three different options - sweet/savory, loved trying each one. The sweet potato fries were not mushy and had a good crunch. The steak was cooked to perfection - I asked for medium and I got medium! Everyone seemed happy with their food. Restrooms were downstairs. Nice dining option in the city - only con there was no outdoor seating. Picking up on social media - looks like this place used to be Huron St. Pub & Grill not sure if it was a re-branding or new owners. Either way, I hope Broken Spoke is here to stay on the island!
