The machines go up to 60 mph. You have to feed the machine but you get a protective net so its pretty safe. You can also come here for T ball if you have young children. We usually pay $30 for a single half hour session, but I believe you can buy packages/bundles which will make each individual session cheaper. You can buy bats, gloves, helmets, balls, or anything else you might need. Great place!

I'm balls deep in a WWII obsession right now, and he went from a 5-star general leading the Allied victory over the Germans to being the leader of the free world 7 years later. Iconic career path. Didn't notice it until the last minute but that was a really cool touch. First off, the staff here is so friendly and very easy going. We've gone here once a year ago and it was still just as fun! We had 9 adults, 3 kids, and 1 baby. Everyone had a blast doing mini golf and target paintball. Great price as well and they take a card. They had about 6 picnic tables so there was plenty of seating for everyone and one table for serving the food. The birthday boy was so happy with everything! Also, I'd recommend bringing bug spray since the flies are attracted to Mott's Creek by the mini golf.

When it came time to pay the bill, though, I noticed a few things: 1. they charged me for the original 27 kids even though I only had 23 show up (I didn't care so much about that), 2. the "recommended" a cumulative $100 tip (this is really high buy almost anyone's standards - and I chose to give $25 per worker, which I STILL think is high), and 3. there were pies left over from the party that I paid for and they weren't sending me home with them. After a really good party, when it came down to their billing, the tip reco, and then keeping the pizza without even asking if I wanted it (especially when they charged me for 27 kids-worth of pizza), I ended a great party with a not-so-great taste in my mouth from the experience.

I learned about Game 162 through their Doc Gooden event on 5/28/24. The batting cages are located…read moreat the back of a shoe store. Pitching machines are available and prices are affordable compared to similar cages - really great to have batting cages available in the Flushing area. Individualized baseball lessons are also available with Coach Pablo - he's coached for the EEP Bandits travel team. Doc Gooden event was great - he gave a pep talk to the children about friendships and the importance of having fun. It was originally going to be a pitching clinic, but the event was tweaked a bit and Doc ended up throwing batting practice to all the children. I guess my son can say Doc Gooden threw BP to him. Afterwards everyone lined up for autographs and we were able to get a baseball and baseball card signed. I will definitely be returning to Game 162 for their batting cages and I hope they continue to do signings with other baseball players.

The Mineola Community Center is 5 stars all the way. This building is an old school and The…read moreVillage of Mineola bought it many year's ago to house the village offices as well as the small auditorium that is used for the monthly board meetings and hearings. They have also set up video to be able to broadcast from this room. The best part is the large multi-purpose room that can be used as a gym or meeting center. Our senior clubs hold their meetings there as well as our many civic groups taking advantage of the large room and stage. The Kiwanis Club of County Seat Mineola held their annual pancake breakfast there for many years until moving to the High School. There is ample room to house hundreds as well as the stage the could be used for entertainment. There is also a small kitchen in the building. The kitchen is small but is a good staging area. Large events will need to be catered in. There was also a recent lobby and entrance renovation. Hanging on the lobby wall is the John S. DaVanzo "wall of honor" saluting the many past people who did a wonderful job shaping Mineola into the great village and community it is today. Its great to be part of a community that is so community minded.
