The Basketry is 5 STARS all the way. Their personal touch from the moment you contact them with a question to fulfillment of the order and through delivery to the recipient is by far exemplary. If within our New Orleans area, they will deliver themselves, or send it well packaged via UPS or another shipping company to exceed expectations of required delivery date. We live close enough that we can drive across the Mississippi to their store but sometimes I just use their website to research what's available. I can order exactly what's there off of it or give them a call or email them and ask about modifications and other ideas to customize a gift box or basket for a special person or occasion. We and the people we have given gifts to from this wonderful company have never been disappointed! read more

First I want to apologize for thinking the package was never delivered. When I initially ordered the shop was attentive we discussed how it would be delivered but I never received confirmation that the package was delivered to the hotel. Unfortunately the hotel dropped the ball never delivered the package. However it did arrive after some calling around at the hotel so it ended well. My friend loved the gift and was super surprised. I made the order from Chicago to New Orleans it was a very simple transaction and reasonably priced. read more

Walked in and walked right back out. I was looking for a quick gift for a closing. The customer service was cold and not very welcoming. The store didn't appear to be well stocked as it use to be. I was wondering why the parking lot was so empty these days and I surely found out. The old owner and staff were very warm and inviting. I won't be back. read more

This is the coolest place! I wanted to send something unique and special to my mom and stumbled upon The Basketry while doing a Google search. I looked at the website and there were so many quality options. It was hard to make a decision so I decided to do a custom box. I sent a message on Facebook and quickly received a response, along with confirmation for next day delivery. I was also able to see a picture of the actual box before finalizing the sale. It was delivered around 1pm the next day and the delivery guy was nice and professional. The box was so beautiful! My mom loved it!! I will definitely order from The Basketry again! read more

I ordered my MOH the fleur de bubbles basket. I called and was able to add sugarfina gummies a la carte. The person who helped me was pleasant and I enjoyed the quick and smooth process. Today the basket was delivered an my MOH loved it. Unfortunately the ceramic platter wasn't wrapped enough and broke prior to arrival. I would definitely order from them again, only wish I found them sooner. read more

My brother was going to be getting engaged while on a trip to NOLA (I live in Los Angeles), and I wanted to send them a gift after he popped the question. I am SO happy that I found The Basketry - they were super helpful tailoring one of their packages to what I wanted to send them, and went above and beyond to ensure that the gift wasn't delivered early (would have been dead woman walking if I had spoiled my brother's proposal :) Even though they don't deliver on Sundays (he was proposing Saturday night), they made sure to put a big note on it for the hotel to not send it up to the room until the next day, and also communicated that to the front desk when they delivered They were super communicative and made the whole process so easy - would use them again in a heartbeat! read more

On an engagement gift hunt with sweets, we hit this place after a plantation tour. It has plenty of the nice girly things the ladies are looking for. Saints, LSU, candle burners and funny prints. Saw some clothing and shoes here too. Its similar to plenty of other boutique stores. Its kinda high end with each boutique store trying to have something totally different from the others. This is that store but I am guessing for the location, they are the only game in town. Its nice stuff. The staff was nice. Its lost on my a little because I am a guy but I appreciate the selection. There is a lot to look at. read more

My daughter and her boyfriend were in NOLA to celebrate his 40th birthday. Due to Covid the hotel was not doing any welcoming service so I went looking for another idea. So glad I stumbled on The Baskerty! I gave them a call and the customer service was amazing! Ali went above and beyond to select items that they could snack on during their time there. She had the basket delivered in a timely fashion even though I gave her short notice. I will definitely recommend The Basketry to my friends and family! read more

I cannot possibly be more thankful that I found The Basketry!. I spent time looking for the perfect expression of sentiment with memories of New Orleans. This company is exceptional! After I placed my order I went back to their website to check in and there is a "text us" option live online. They responded quickly... Luling is a small town. Places like this are few and far between, because Luling is a small town. To get it right in a small town "means more" because folks are used to traveling to the more retail flush areas for their needs. The Basketry has always been consistent with their customer service and the options or gifts are plentiful. Need a last minute gift? They are sure to have one. Need a unique piece of jewelry? The selection here is diverse and large. Bath bombs, local towel and kitchen accessories, check and check. No matter if you are in the area or close by (River Ridge, Elmwood, Destrehan, I'm looking at you) I would highly recommend shopping here. read more

Sending a birthday gift basket to a friend down in Metairie. Placed an online order (I'm in the philly area) and within an hour, I received a text message from Ali informing me one of my items in the package was out of stock and offered me two substitutions. Since one of the items I really wanted wasn't available, I wasn't really happy with the suggested replacements. Here is where Ali really stepped it up a notch! She offered me a more expensive item, that I immediately knew was definitely a step up from what was the original item. AT NO EXTRA CHARGE! Next day, I reached out via text and asked if the basket had been delivered. Wanted to call and say happy birthday, but didn't want to spoil the surprise. She text back to me faster than even my own husband. Ok, so he never gets back to me promptly, but she really put him to shame. Customer service is almost a lost art, but not here at the basketry! Oh and the prices are very reasonable and a lot of wonderful items to choose from! I will be a forever customer! Thank you Ali, my new found friend! read more

Wonderful customer service. We needed a personalized basket/ gift for our dear friend in Gretna. We called from Iowa and asked for very specific items (including Iowa Hawkeyes and Iowa State gifts). The team at the basketry did not disappoint- not only did they personalize the basket they sent pictures to make sure that it met our satisfaction... wonderful people to work with!! So lovely! The owner worked with me to create the perfect basket to send to my fiancé and his buddies for their bachelor party in NOLA. I checked out their website and wanted to do a mix and match of several of their baskets. I gave them a call and Kristi worked with me so patiently to create EXACTLY what I wanted. She even texted me a photo of it before she wrapped it to ensure it was all I wanted. They were totally floored by it and loved everything. I couldn't be more pleased. This past weekend I had one of the best customer service experiences of my life from The Basketry! I ordered "The Bachelorette" basket for my fiancee while she was down in LA for her bachelorette party / jazz fest. Her maid of honor accidentally gave me the wrong address and I wound up having the basket delivered to the wrong hotel. I spoke with the hotel concierge and she assured me she'd have the bellman walk it down the street to the right hotel. An hour later, when I call back...no one has any idea what I'm talking about or where the basket is. In an act of desperation, I called the Basketry to see if they could help. Brittany from the Basketry was amazing and went out of her way to hunt it down and make sure it ended up with my fiancee. Further, she told me if she couldn't track it down...they would have quickly made me a new one and got it to her asap! This is a fabulous company...not to mention she absolutely loved the basket! read more

This store goes above and belong with customer service , they do have some high priced items but they also have non expensive stuff as well. They have something to fit everyone . The owner comes out and helps a lot too they are very accommodating as well and super friendly . They have designer jewelry like Kendra Scott and pandora and they run the same specials as pandora does at there stores. They also make beautiful gift baskets and deliver . I have never used that option but I've herd good things . And they gift wrapped everything very nicely . The only thing is I could see where people would get aggravated if they don't like personal customer service shopping and just wanna kinda be left alone but if by Say ur just looking they give ur space . But definitely a must go ! Best for gifts and decorations . They also have clothes and baby gifts read more

The Basketry is spectacular and it is my absolute favorite store! It has everything you can think of. How awesome is that? I highly recommend this store. read more

This is such a great store to find unique gifts. The store always has a table in the front with a theme that coordinates with the season or holiday (summer, Easter, Christmas, Mother's Day, etc). The customer service is always excellent. I've only had an issue once or twice (usually during Christmas season or the day before a holiday). Mother's Day was particularly busy. I love the variety. The back left of the store is baby and kids items. There is Pandora and other jewelry. A lot of "Southern" themed t shirts. Pretty rustic frames. Some platters, dip bowls, kitchen towels. They do sell wines and some simple snacks to add to baskets. They can help you put together a basket or you can order one from their website that's premade. They have cute dresses and shirts, rain jackets and boots. I love all the New Orleans themed items. Definitely worth a stop if you have the money and are looking for something cheap. Not somewhere most people could do all their Christmas shopping at because it is expensive. read more

I googled gifts delivered in NOLA and The Basketry popped up. I clicked and immediately knew this was the place to get the job done. With Kendra Scott jewelry on the front page, how could you go wrong? I knew that I didn't want to send flowers this time, so this fit the bill exactly. I spoke with the staff and they were so nice and helpful. Each person I talked to when I called back and forth for the same gift basket knew about it and could help me. As you can imagine the last place a teenager wants to be in the summer is the hospital, and I am told that when the basket came (within the same day as ordering) she was happier and loved it. I am so pleased to have found The Basketry, too bad we don't have one in Austin, but they reminded me they ship!!! Thank you ladies at The Basketry! read more

The Basketry has a great selection of goodies to send in baskets and more importantly, they do a wonderful AND RELIABLE job of getting them delivered. I needed a gift basket for someone at a convention in New Orleans. After bombing out with the hotel and some nearby shops, The Basketry saved the day. They could not have been nicer.
