Candace is a true property manager ready to listen to your needs as they arise and constantly making improvements. Another male leasing agent was able to print out my resume on short notice for a job interview (that I got). As for security, Miss Lilly and Ms. Karen are lovely security desk agents who are very attentive and knows you by name. The finishes are well appointed in the studios. They were more modern with either wood or concrete flooring and white granite counter tops. In regards to noise, there are times you can hear neighbors (usually during holidays and bigger events) but nothing too crazy. However, you are signing something in the lease to allow for them to make construction noises as they continue to improve the building. Due to me getting a new job, I had to move to be a little bit closer to work, but don't worry, my new home is still with Brandonview LLC in the CWE! :) PROS: - proximity to grocers and nightlife - great staff - amenities (pool, deck, hot tub, and gym) - in unit laundry - free electricity CONS: - they charge for dust on fans so please be clean upon move-out - sometimes checks were taken out a bit later but if you give a money order all is well!

They are always professional and nice when I pick up my packages, and anytime I've had an issue (which I try to keep low), they've been quick to respond. I've even had to talk to the courtesy officer once, and they were very quick and efficient. This complex is nice and quiet, which is my favorite. Apartments in the past can feel small and loud. But the layout here keeps the buildings separated, and our building is pretty quiet and sticks to themselves. When it's not winter, the grounds are very pretty. I love how big the dog park is! Finally a place with a dog park bigger than a parking spot!! Maintenance is very cool and chill. Never had issues with them. They're professional when they walk inside the apartment. If I saw another apartment complex with my current staff, I would live there again. We've been here 2ish years now, and they are nice and decent enough to not hate life like at other apartment complexes. I wish pricing was a little better, but don't we all at this point?

The building has a lot of great amenities and an awesome rooftop. The location was mostly decent but seems to be getting better as more businesses are opening up nearby. Security was never issue for me here and I felt safe on the premises of the building. I removed a star because of a few major issues I had with my first apartment there, although management was quick to remedy them. Also, most fixtures and furnishes are good quality, however the 'wooden' floors scratched so easily I was afraid to do a lot on them. If anyone is looking for an apartment in this area I'd recommend it. The price is right, the apartments are nice, and management is the best. Apartment hunters in STL have a huge task in finding a great place to live. Let me save you some…read moretime and tell you to take a hard pass on this place. Over the past three years this complex has taken a huge dive down into the level of unacceptable conditions. It appears they will just about rent to anyone just to put people in apartments without any regard for adjoining tenants. The tenants above us were so noisy it was a contributing factor to our decision to get away. It was constant noise. If you make the mistake of choosing this place you will be alarmed at the apathy coming from their office personnel. Any questions we had was a bother to them. At one time they tried everything except the right thing when we were dealing with an extremely noisy bathroom fan. Once they even bent the blades to "fix" it. They never did fix our ice maker in the whole time we were there. Security is a huge issue as we were alerted to kids kicking on doors during the night. Unattended children walking onto private patios was a problem. A gate at the back of the property was never locked allowing strangers on city streets to walk right into the complex. Dumpsters were constantly overflowing and infested with raccoons. Watch out! Don't get bit. The property managers along with the office manager and staff are completely indifferent to your concerns and appear to try to get by with the minimum amount of work. In summation, save yourself the time of going here to visit or renting here. Some reviews from other apartments seem like past tenants were just getting back at their former landlords. THIS is not one of those. It is an HONEST review of what we put up with. We never knew how could it could be now that we are in our new place. These people have it figured out here. The people at Park Forest -- don't have a clue!!

Let me start by saying that Gentry's Landing does have some positives, but in my experience the…read morenegatives ultimately outweighed them. When I first moved in during the summer, many residents were friendly and seemed excited about building a sense of community, which initially made me hopeful that this would feel like home. However, as I began to socialize and spend more time around the building, I became increasingly concerned about the professionalism and conduct of certain individuals working behind the lobby desk. In my opinion, majority of their behavior came across as predatory and lacking appropriate self-control or social awareness, which made interactions uncomfortable. I also had concerns about the background and professionalism of some members of the maintenance and leasing staff. It often seemed as though individuals with questionable pasts were being placed in positions of responsibility within a building that markets itself as "luxury." While I believe people deserve second chances, I did not always feel confident in the competence or professionalism of the maintenance work being done inside residents' units. Another major issue was the cleanliness and general condition of the building's common areas. The hallways frequently had strong and unpleasant odors, including body odor, vomit, and marijuana, which created an uncomfortable living environment. Additionally, it often appeared that the leasing office was not particularly selective about who was allowed to live in the building. There were times when the environment and the individuals coming and going made both me and my friends feel unsafe. From my perspective, many concerns seemed to be overlooked or swept under the rug rather than properly addressed, which reflects broader issues with how the building is managed. Management leadership, particularly Julie, was especially disappointing. In my opinion, there was little effort to uphold higher standards when it came to staff professionalism, tenant oversight, or maintaining the building's overall cleanliness and appearance. Living at Gentry's Landing is ultimately a personal choice, but based on my experience, I would caution prospective residents to carefully consider whether the environment, management practices, and overall standards align with what they expect from a place to live.

Now that I am out, I can anonymously share what tenants are dealing with due to the new owners…read more Here are a few of the specific complaints from tenants who have been residents of these properties for 3 to nearly 20 years (identifying attributes removed or generalized for anonymity): These new owners are ATROCIOUS. WITHOUT NOTICE, the new owners now allow dogs which one tenant is extremely allergic to, causing them to go on medication due to the new pets in their building and the smell/hair/dander in the carpeted hallway. Another cannot cope with the incessant barking heard coming from the adjacent building. The grass and grounds where children had played are now covered in yellow stained spots from urine and feces of the animals (note: feces is being cleaned up but the damage to the grass is still happening). Dumpsters impede the full use of the driveway. THERE IS NO COMMUNICATION ABOUT WHAT THEY ARE DOING. The new owners are allowing new and disrespectful tenants who scream at all hours of the day and night and slam doors to where the entire building and those on the street can hear - they seem to take anyone now. Non-residents/workers are leaving doors unlocked and propped open after they depart. One tenant pays for a parking spot but someone else is regularly in it, assumed to be a hired worker. They never told one tenant about the construction and they work from home and were unable to run a very important meeting for work due to the non-stop drilling noise. Attempts have been made, without notice, to enter a unit while a minor child was home alone. One tenant is extremely sensitive to pesticide and would vacate for a couple days when the previous owner notified them of a treatment. NO NOTICE was given when the new owners treated, causing this tenant to pass out in their kitchen in front of their small child who didn't know what to do. Poison control was called and the treating company refused to provide the type of chemical used that day without authorization from the building owner. NO ADVANCE NOTICE is being given of construction and apartment entry, causing numerous tenants to experience unknown contractor knocks and entry into units last minute. Notices are no longer posted in the buildings in advance or at each tenant's door. The new owners said there would be drop boxes installed to submit rent - that never happened. An email notice was sent to one tenant the day after the email said they would be entering the tenant's unit - which required the tenant to execute several tasks they were unable to do and it was during the holidays. Non-residents are now entering the buildings and "snooping" through different areas that were previously secured and are now being left open - damage to the property has occurred. The "upgrades" may look nice at first but they are really cheap and remove any historical charm the units previously had. The "improvements" are done so poorly and are cheap and nothing matches, the new paint is already peeling off and you can see through the paint because it needed primer or another coat. There is a new tenant who must have serious mental health issues and there is a concern for children because they are making "demonic dolls" and "shrines" and putting stacks of full beer cans in odd locations in their walkways. Hopefully these owners can take this as constructive criticism to improve their communication and screening process since the tenants don't feel comfortable speaking up about their individual experiences outside of hallway and sidewalk conversations.
