I especially like how accommodating the staff is, their Manager, Heather and assistan manager Carly is exemplary at what they do and goes for the extra miles to make sure you are settled-in alright. Grady on the other hand is also anpart of their team who assures you that whatever you need help with maintenance you can count on him and he's a jack-of-all-trades kind of guy. Our neighbors are all friendly and lovely to chat with when we can, since it has been winter, we all try to get into our apartments in a hurry but I'm sure once summer comes there would probably be more smiles and greetings here and there since it's gonna be lovely weather. The amenities are always kept clean and tidy, same as their receiving are which always smells great! As a bonus, they offer you free starbucks and have parties to socialize with your neighbors occasionally. The vue has been a great welcome to us here in St. Louis and also great assurance that we are in a safe place. We have had no issues and have settled in happily. Thank you, The Vue! -Christopher & Nina

We Moved Here for the Security--We Left Because We Didn't Feel Safe…read more Our experience was very disappointing. We moved into The Vue in September 2023 and moved out earlier this month after living there for roughly three years. One of the main reasons I chose The Vue was because it was a gated community. It was more expensive than some other apartments we considered, and even though other places offered garage parking while we had to park outside here, I felt the gate would provide an additional level of security. Unfortunately, that turned out not to be the case. The gate was a CONSTANT issue. There were times when it was broken and left open for WEEKS at a time. During one of those times, three cars were broken into, including mine. There were thousands of dollars in damages caused by people attempting to steal the vehicles. I contacted management to ask whether they would help cover any of the damages, especially considering the gate had been left open for weeks. I was told they would take the issue to corporate and see whether anything could be done. Ultimately, the answer was no. I was left paying for all of the damages out of pocket and received nothing more than a sorry for the inconvenience. I later learned that other car owners and residents had similar complaints and concerns about the gate and vehicle break-ins. I understand that apartment complexes may have limitations regarding liability, but when one of the main selling points is being a gated community and the gate is repeatedly broken and left open for extended periods of time, residents should not be made to feel like their concerns don't matter. The gate gave us a false sense of security. By the time we moved out, we simply did not feel safe there anymore. The move-out process has been just as frustrating as many of the other experiences we had while living there. We were charged for an additional day of rent, along with other move-out charges, and by that point, it just felt like one more thing being piled on. The charge I have the biggest issue with, however, is the carpet cleaning. Earlier this summer, The Vue had workers come into our apartment to repair the patio sliding glass door. Those workers walked through our bedroom wearing work boots without covers on them. Our bedroom was the only room in the entire apartment with carpet, and there was repair and construction work taking place in and around that space. Now, after their workers tracked through and affected that carpet during repairs they arranged, we are being charged for carpet cleaning. That is what makes this so frustrating. We are being held financially responsible for cleaning carpet that their own workers contributed to messing up. Instead of taking responsibility for the condition their workers contributed to during their repairs, they are trying to pass that expense on to us during move-out. We had to question and fight them on practically everything throughout our time there, including repairs, concerns, and now move-out charges. By the end of the process, it felt like every issue became another battle instead of receiving fair treatment and reasonable communication. On top of everything else, the walls are extremely thin. Our neighbors had dogs that barked at all hours of the night. The night before our move-out day, we could still hear the dogs barking as late as 11:45 p.m. on a Sunday night as if they were in the next room. We could also hear cars on the street constantly, morning, day, and night. If you're considering The Vue because you want to feel safe in a gated community, I would seriously reconsider. If you don't want to constantly hear your neighbors and street traffic, reconsider. And if you don't want to have to fight over repairs and charges, reconsider. After nearly three years of living there, we were more than ready to leave. ONE STAR. Very disappointing experience.

Chroma - Packages usually don't get put in mail room since the staff doesn't even let amazon in. Lol

Everyone in the leasing office as well as neighbors are very friendly. Also, they're always running community events so it's easy to meet your neighbors. The apartment itself is great and spacious. The kitchen comes with a large sink and a large kitchen island. Appliances looked very new and all were in working condition. The closet in my bedroom is big enough to be a small office. The unit also has washer and dryer which is really convenient. The apartments also provide lots of amenities like a gym, pool, grill, clubroom, and even private study spaces. Also there's a secure mail room with a cool locker system. It gives me peace of mind knowing my online purchases are safe when they're delivered. The location of the apartments is really convenient. It is walking distance to all the restaurants and bars in the grove. If you're trying to hit up downtown St. Louis or CWE, it's a 5-7 minute drive.

Maintenance is going through it as well so expect slow assistance. The worst part of the apartment is the roaches. I've been dealing with roaches on the floor and my apartment for 6 months out of my 1 year lease. I have seen a roach every single day. Management has switched out so many times and each time they have done nothing but send pest control to only spray MY apartment unit. They did not spray the entire building at all. Pest control came to my unit 6 times and still nothing changed. I tried using bait gel which helped for a bit but there's nothing I can do more when people are constantly leaving garbage in the trash room and not putting it in the chute. The apartment is nice yes and the amenities are good. I did enjoy my first 6 months here but, management is constantly rotating managers and the roaches made me paranoid every day. If you book a showing definitely check every crack and corner!

So I'd have to say this is a luxury apartment building. The art work is beautiful. I took pictures of the 1st and 2nd floors. I'm happy I was invited to the Botox, Bubbly event they hosted in the entertainment/movie room. I noticed bike rentals, picnic basket rentals and exercise equipment that residents can rent to take across the street to the park or use on the rooftop. There is an un-manned convenience store (cameras of course), which shows they really expect high caliber residents. The self-serve coffee/tea/cocoa/wine bar is pretty cool also. Various seating areas separated by a dual glass crystal fire place makes this place fabulous as you wait for guests. There is outdoor seating on the patio overlooking Shaw Park and the swimming pool for swimmers during the summers, ice skaters in the winter. Add to this.... offices spaces and much more! Unfortunately, we have had many water leaks from the ceiling and the recessed lights. After yesterday's storm the "fixes" that the maintenance crew used previously have failed and the ceiling has caved. The water is now spreading in the ceiling to multiple rooms of the penthouse causing massive leaks and water build up. This is now impacting apartments below us. The maintenance crew has been unresponsive for mitigation actions. They will not cover any of the furniture or tarp the failing roof areas to mitigate further damages, after multiple requests. They have also used our beautiful china and our trash cans to catch water from the leaks. Finally, no one will speak with us about the remediation plan.
