I stopped attending the studio February 2020. In August, I received a call from a collections agency stating I owed $360 to this studio, even though I hadn't attended classes all year and did not authorize any membership renewals. I reached out via email and phone repeatedly to Pure Barre to discuss, but received no communication. I was worried about the charge affecting my credit score, so I paid it and thought that would be the end. Several months later, I receive another call from the same collections agency, this time for a charge of $419 for Pure Barre. Again, I called and emailed repeatedly, even emailing/calling the corporate headquarters, but received no communication from Pure Barre regarding this charge. I paid the collection because I'm worried about the impact on my credit score, but reached out to Pure Barre to request a refund. I haven't attended class since February 2020 and received zero communication from Pure Barre but yet I owed collections over $700 !?!? This is inexcusable to me and I still haven't received a refund. I understand covid has been tough for fitness studios, but by conducting their business this way, Pure Detroit/Birmingham has lost a customer (and I'm sure I'm not the only one).

It was a great workout but it was really hard - I'm usually able to go to group fitness classes and…read moredo the whole thing but I actually had to take a few moments because you push your body all the way to its limits where you are completely exhausting your muscle groups. I got to class really late and missed a significant portion and it still kicked my butt. It's two days later and my muscles are so sore. Things I really liked were the cushy carpeting and the air circulation. There's like AC and fans which make it actually windy in there which feels so good when you're hot and sweaty.

Barre is my obsession. Its the ONLY workout that I have actually been able to stick with…read more Zumba-done that. Cardio Kickboxing-yup...that lasted a hot minute. Barre has been my workout of choice for the past 3 years and has made amazing changes to my body. Center Stage is a fairly new boutique barre studio and OMG you guys you HAVE to check it out! First of all its beautiful. The space is super clean and large and such a wonderful welcoming environment. All of the teachers are a-maz-ing. They have some rockin' play lists and give you a super challenging workout. One of the things I love about this studio is the hands on adjustments that they give you. Barre is hard if you have never practiced it before. Some of the lingo might be confusing. But don't let that scare you!!! The teachers here are awesome and will move you into the proper position constantly throughout class. Center Stage has 3 different varieties of classes from the classic barre to a more cardio focused class. Whatever you pick you will 100% get a super hard full body workout. A lot of people think barre is just for girls. Let me tell you - I brought my husband to a barre class once and he just about died. Lastly - the retail selection here is on point. Every time I am in I see another tank top I want to buy! Moral of the story - check this place out. Scared of barre?? Don't be!!! Barre teachers always tell you "give yourself 10 classes". After that 10 I guarantee you will be hooked. See you at the barre!!!

I signed up for an early morning class, bad idea on my part! lol Pure Barre technique is a total body workout. It's a mixture of yoga, Pilates, weights, bands and dance all in one class. In fact I'm not even 100% certain I know what barre is. Always been curious about this place, that's located at the corner of 24 mile road and Schoenherr, so the other day I popped in on a whim. I knew going in that they sold Lululemon apparel and other fitness brands. I was in the market for some new leggings for my own yoga practice and for teaching. I walked in and was greeted my 3 very smiley and energetic employees. I told them I came in to check out what kind of apparel they sold. They were very welcoming and began to tell me that their birthday celebration was coming. I was in there on a Tuesday. The employees told me that beginning that Saturday they were offering discounts and deals on all their apparel. I told them great I'll just wait to purchase some thing this weekend then. They weren't put off by the fact that I didn't wanna buy anything right there in then and explain in more detail what kind of discounts they would have. Before I leftI checked out a few items and inquired about what exactly bar barre was. The one employee explained the outline of a typical barre class. I left more knowledgeable than when I first came in. Come Saturday I revisited this location and picked up 2 brand new pairs of yoga pants. One was priced at $98, the other was $90. Now for those of you who know me know that's too rich for my blood. But because it was their birthday bash I scored both pants at 40% off! What a steal it was! I wasn't certain how they would fit so I asked for a changing room and the employee pointed me down the hall to a very roomy changing room/bathroom. Both pairs fit perfectly. Both pair cost me only $112 before tax. One pair was Alo Yoga, the other pair was Beyond Yoga. For those of you who know fitness apparel, know how costly it can be. $112 was a Great deal! Especially considering I live in my work out gear. I won't just wear these for an hour or two a day. I will wear these every day-from the time I get up til the time I go to bed. Money well spend. The employees are super welcoming- even though I don't participate in their classes. I will visit in the future, when I'm in the market to add to my wardrobe. First class is always FREE, for those of you interested in barre.

This is the best experience I've ever had at a yoga studio (I've been practicing for about 6 years now ... lived in a variety of different US cities & have pretty much also been to all of the yoga studios in Metro Detroit and this is my favorite). Teachers are awesome! Everyone is beyond nice and the studio is super cute & quaint (it's pretty small but the classes don't get super packed... unless you go to Justin's class). Most classes at Blue are a "guided" heated vinyasa flow - they will go through a variety of sequences with you, but ultimately let you flow by yourself. Pro Tips - Free 2 hour parking in nearby parking structures - Great new student offers - Clean facilities (in my last review I said there was no shower.. and I misspoke, they do have a shower!) - Amazing people that instruct & take yoga here - Take any of Justin's classes! Thanks Blue Yoga, your entire team is amazing!

Thank you for creating such a unique space! ‍
