The Barn reopened 3-4 weeks ago after the former "Mountain Barn" had closed. The place was packed for a Thursday night. There are many seating options - there is a large dining room with a bar, and a smaller front bar with high top tables. There is also upstairs seating where you could enjoy a drink and play pool. The food menu, although somewhat limited, had something for everyone. All meals that passed by looked amazing - I saw burgers and chicken sandwiches that looked HUGE! I opted with a salad with steak and a side of onion rings for a little indulgence. Good drink options as well. The vibe of the restaurant was great - happy employees, relaxed patrons. This will be a great spot in the summer to enjoy the patio & outdoor views, and a great spot in the winter for those who ski at Wachusett Mountain. I'll be back!

The place was crowded but first come first serve in the bar area. We sat and enjoyed a drink while we shared a table with others. Their food looked so delicious we decided to order. The beer selection was good and the Bees Knees cocktail was delish. The bartender was on her game servicing the entire bar area plus the bar. She was impressive! The restaurant is under a new owner that was very social and welcoming. The only problem was an added tip on our bill after we had left and we had given the bar tender a generous cash tip. The restaurant owner answered our email that same evening and rectified the matter stating it was "accidental." We will return but know to pay attention to the tab!

I was excited to visit the new "Barn" We were greeted with a smile and our server Nadia was wonderful. We started off with a Caesar salad. We noticed the leaves were brown most of the edges different than any Caesar salad I've ever had. We question the server and she brought it to the chef who told her that it was raised in Iron soil and that was the reason for the brown leaves. Really? I've never heard of this before. Good this, salad was discounted. Needless to say I didn't feel too comfortable eating it. See my picture in this post for reference. Next was our entrée. I ordered chicken Gyro with truffle fries. The truffle fries very different than any that I've had in the past. They were served hot which is wonderful, however the flavor like the truffle taste. Moving on, the Gyro was OK. Nothing special. I had to ask for more Taziki sauce. There was very little served. I wanted to say a lot of good things about this place. I was very excited. However, my bubble was busted.

Precious!! Bopping!! Wonderful! The FOH and BOH staff were perfect, incredibly friendly, and prompt on a seriously busy night. Stephanie was our waitress (although truthfully I just adored everyone!) and she took excellent care of us. Killer seasonal menu -- butternut and Boursin arancini, maple gochujang tenders, and a lovely, perfectly rare seared tuna with a ginger aioli. Still need to come back for the s'mores pie but the pumpkin vanilla cheesecake was the perfect end to the meal -- I love a graham cracker crust. They have an outstanding bar program, and the specials -- The Barn Sour, Cherry Cobbler, and Crystal Ball were all immaculate. Stoked to come back for their burger!! This is a wonderful and energetic restaurant.

We chose The Barn to celebrate our 41st wedding anniversary and it did not disappoint. From the wonderful hostess to the friendly waitstaff this place is top notch. So many choices we wanted to try on the menu. We settled on the calamari to start. Perfectly cooked along side some spicy banana peppers, the two dipping sauces were a nice compliment to the delicately fried calamari. The Barn does seasonal menus and uses locally grown food for the farm to table experience. As this is tomato season, their specials were tomato based. I opted for the fish stew. (see picture). This was an explosion of taste from the sweet tomatoes, briny fish, and hearty potatoes eggplant and onions. My husband chose the Bolognese and he said it was spectacular. Of course when celebrating you have to have dessert and the orange olive oil cake was a show stopper (see other picture). The hostess was so kind and brought us over 2 complimentary flutes of champagne to go along with our sweet endings. We had a great time. But The Barn isn't just for fancy occasions. They have a great burger and hand held selection if you want to come for a more casual meal. Highly recommend. We will be back!

This experience already started out poorly when the chef came bursting out of the kitchen to scream at the waitress who took our order. Apparently they were out of fried goat cheese. I ordered the steak and cheese egg rolls instead. That left a bad taste in my mouth to say the least seeing as he would be the one making our food. We had a soda and a cocktail while we waited for our food. The waitress is the only reason I'm giving this place any stars because she was kind and pleasant to interact with. The food took a while to come out and the establishment was not busy. When we got home the pizza looked lackluster. It was supposed to be a chicken fajita pizza but had banana peppers on it instead of bell peppers. The pizza was not good and we did not even eat half of it. The egg rolls were greasy and not flavorful. You would be much better off going to another pizza restaurant in town. This is our second time visiting the new location and the first time trying the food. We will not be back.

I yelped area restaurants and this was the first one I came to that was open on Sundays and sounded promising. When we arrived the parking lot was pretty full so that was a good sign. Inside the restaurant was definitely smaller than it looked from the outside and the sign at the hostess station said 'seat yourself'. We found a table for 6 and waited a little while before someone noticed us. My husband and I both ordered the Rueben sandwich, he got fries and I got homemade chips with mine. The others ordered fish and chips and some kind of steak wrap. The young teen ordered pizza and fries (no surprise there). We got a chili, mozzarella sticks and nachos for appetizers. We enjoyed everything except the teen said the pizza wasn't really good, one of the adults tried it and said it wasn't good and tasted like a Celeste frozen pizza. We would definitely stop again if we were in the area.

Friends since high school, Mason and Tarbell have shared a passion for quality craft beer for quite some time. After years of visiting various breweries with their families and friends, the partners began serious talks about opening their own brewery. Not only did they aspire to open a brewery that featured a variety of beer styles, but also a family friendly taproom. Mason has an extensive background in homebrewing, and both partners have a background in business. Clinton was ultimately chosen as the location for their brewery because it lacked a family friendly brewery. A second location opened at Pathway Devens (a biomanufacturing campus operated by King Street Properties) in May 2024. I recently visited Sterling Street Brewery's original Clinton location for the first time. It was also the first time that I was meeting up a with a large group of New England-based craft beer bloggers/enthusiasts who frequently have meet-ups at breweries. The taproom was decent-sized with maybe 10 large tables available for seating. There were an additional 20 or so tables outside, but it was still a little too cold outside to utilize those. I would imagine that the patio area is popular during the warmer months. After grabbing some food from a food truck, I headed to the bar. I ordered a taster flight that featured "Newfound Pale" (Citra Pale Ale), "Otherwise" (New England IPA), "Michael Diamond" (New England IPA), and "Midnight Marauder" (Stout). I enjoyed them all, but I was most impressed by the Pale Ale. I later enjoyed full pours of "Gingerbread Snuggles" (Winter Ale) and "Double Sabotage" (Double New England IPA). The beer was solid, the space was nice, and I had a blast meeting and socializing with so many other local craft beer enthusiasts. I give Sterling Street my seal of approval and I hope to check out their Devens location in the future!

While the tables can be somewhat communal, I chose to be a bit more antisocial and just share a table with my dog. It should be noted that winds in the area can knock down their umbrellas or take your food off the table so be careful. There was a food truck outside serving Mexican food that was pretty good but aggressively priced. It did go well with the IPAs. Overall, this is a fairly nice place to enjoy a lazy afternoon. I'd come back if I was in the area.
