This was my first time at this barbershop and I was happy to stumble on it. The best part was that I was able to book everything online a week in advanced, I have calling leaving vm's and having to ask what times/days are available. Their online scheduling system is great and while they have that technology upfront, their services and expertise still seems old school and exactly what I was looking for. Stephen was my barber and her did a great job on my trim and shave right before my daughter's wedding. I will definitely be visiting him again and will continue to recommend his services. read more

Wow What a great place to get your locks trimmed. My son is picky as heck, and he wanted someone who could trim his long wavy hair without messing it up. This place came highly recommended by a friend and they were spot on. Conveniently located in the collection, plenty of parking outside (pay) or free parking if you don't mind the little walk to the parking lot. Deisy was super nice. Easy to schedule via phone and prompt to accommodate us that same week ( my boy had prom). She also took her time answering his questions about keeping his mane healthy. Props for that!! The ambiance is chilled but classy and the locale is kept clean. Check out their floor, looks neat with all the Pennies. A tad pricey for my high schooler who can't afford his own haircuts, but worth the price. He was satisfied and even hugged Deisy when finished. read more

I went in today for a haircut and beard trim. I've been coming here for a while and I always have a great experience. It's a cool location and the staff is always friendly. I usually book with Daisy and I highly recommend her! She is so great to work with and super helpful. I have long hair so she helps provide tips and tricks to help me maintain my hair. I really enjoyed the hot towel and beard trim portion. Once Daisy leaned the chair back I was super relaxed. She even did an amazing head and scalp massage. Been a long time since I got a proper haircut. Barbers in the past have never given me exactly what I asked for; Either make my fade too high, push my line back, etc. However, after my experience today I'm happy to say I've found a spot that I can rely on. I got my haircut with Daisy, and to say I'm happy is an understatement. With past barbers, I'd just tell them what I'd want and they'd butcher it. This place is awesome! I came in for the first time this week and had an outstanding experience and a beautiful hair cut. (Please ignore the one negative review on this page, that guy is not right). I called in and let them know I was coming. When I arrived, Ivan was ready for me with a smile. It is very clear that he is very experienced at cutting hair. He told me things about my hair that would have never known. Like where my cow licks are, and why certain parts of my hair get poofy. Also, was an instructor at Lou Ross, cant get better than that! The Barber Shop is unique and pretty darn swanky, too! Also, did you know they have a copper penny floor?! My youngest son recently got his hair butchered (by a shop that I will not name) and I needed it to be fixed ASAP! Wow, not only did Aaron fix my son's haircut - he turned my son's frown upside down! I normally don't pay too much attention when the barber's are doing their thing, but Aaron was like a ninja barber! I was mesmerized with his scissor whipping and twirling as he was cutting. My buddy Christian works here. Great guy. I still remember when we use to cut hair back in the day when were in high school. It's located in the collection. Walking in, the other barbers make you feel welcome right away. I highly suggest to make an appointment so as to not show up for a long wait. They've got good music playing over their speakers and offer you a cold beverage while waiting or getting your haircut. I was overall satisfied with my haircut. I had a great experience coming here the last few months during this pandemic! Before I gave a review of this shop, I wanted to get a cut from each of the barbers. Here's my experience: I was welcomed each time I came in, had my temperature checked, and was given hand sanitizer immediately. They even have disposable masks if you forget yours. They took the time to listen to what I wanted for my haircut, and made sure that their chairs and tools were properly sanitized before I sat down. They took the time to make sure my cut was perfect, and kept a conversation going to ease these crazy times. I know they may be pricier than other shops, but the time they take to make sure that I am well taken care of, and seeing their chairs/tools properly disinfected make it worth it. My husband and I were walking by to admire the classy decor of a traditional barbershop. I've been looking for a great barbershop for years for my husband, as he deserves to be well taken care of. We've tried salons, men's sports cuts, other places left us feeling wanting more. My husband needed a trim and Traditional Roy, Treyton Roy, the barber hooked him up good. I wanted my husband treated well and he did. He offered us a drink, cut his hair, cleaned his sides and even gave him a massage. The cut was perfectly done made for his features. My husband typically looks good, but damn Traditional Roy made my husband look hot!!! My husband left very happy, refreshed, feeling more confident and looking hot. We finally found a place here at the Barber Shop with Traditional Roy. Highly recommended and well be returning regularly. read more

I will never recommend this barbershop to anyone! I saw there were good reviews about this place like free beer, friendly service and the best of the best barbers which made me confident about coming here. I walk in, awkward vibes, wasn't greeted when I walked in till I got seated and the free beer that everyone mentions, I never got to see (not a big deal, just don't expect any). I showed the barber a picture of what I wanted, like I always show all my barbers, and also told him the specifics, mid tape, 1 fading to 4 on the back and sides, trim top to clean the split ends and blend the long hair (3-4" in height) on the back and on one side. I'm giving this place 2 stars because the barber did a great job for the sides and back but, he did not know how to blend long hair with short hair... He did the worst job I've seen ( I'm not exaggerating) at trying to blend the back, literally cut a chunck of hair off and said it was blended. I didn't realize till after I had showered and boy was I mad for a "professional" to let that slide. $35 for a hair cut is pricey already, and $35 for a lousy haircut was outrageous! No tip and they'll never get my business again. Good luck. read more

So I've been going to see Jackie for quite some time. She always does impeccable work and always gives constructive feedback when I ask questions. She always listens to what I say and always makes me look like a million bucks. When she opened her shop in Oxnard, there was no hesitation that I would go there for my haircuts/coloring. It's charming and has class. Although I live quite a distance away I always make time to drive to Jackie's shop and get my haircut once a month and I never regret going at all. All while some skater kid taking pictures in my face irritating me. Albeit I should've asked prior to showing up & I realize the area is posh but $40 for a men's haircut is a bad joke. The woman who cut my hair tried to maintain the "edgy" new-age barbershop trope by calling me "dude" constantly.
