Finding a barber who truly cares about their craft is rare, but Macky goes above and beyond in every way possible. From the moment you sit in his chair, he gives you his full attention, listening to what you want and executing every detail with incredible skill and precision. What really sets Macky apart, though, is the personal connection. Over time, he becomes far more than just your barber--he becomes a genuine friend. He creates a welcoming atmosphere, remembers the small details, and truly cares about the people who walk through his door. If you're looking for an exceptional cut and a top-tier guy who values his clients like family, book with Macky. Highly recommend Jose A. read more

My wife and I were first time customers we brought our son for a kids hair cut a 12:45pm appointment yesterday. I liked the style of the shop and the location, the haircut came out perfect I would love to go back again but there's one thing that might stop me and it's this. About ten minutes into the haircut the owner enters the shop, I recognized her from the website, she saw my wife and I sitting down but we did not get a welcoming greeting as customers that she has not seen before. I come from a time when Barbers and owners spoke and greeted everyone. I'm sure at some point in time I'll return but it would nice to receive a greeting from everyone who sees a new or existing customer. Mayra was the first to greet us when we came in, then Pancho he is who I scheduled our appointment with Job well done Sir Thank you. read more

This was my first time at this barbershop and I was happy to stumble on it. The best part was that I was able to book everything online a week in advanced, I have calling leaving vm's and having to ask what times/days are available. Their online scheduling system is great and while they have that technology upfront, their services and expertise still seems old school and exactly what I was looking for. Stephen was my barber and her did a great job on my trim and shave right before my daughter's wedding. I will definitely be visiting him again and will continue to recommend his services. read more

This place is CRAZY over priced. You are paying for their rent. And for the price, my hair should have been perfect. It was not. My jaw line is crooked and my hair honestly looks like shit. I'm pissed. Don't go here. read more

Great place, price is pretty high but the quality of the cuts are very good. Barbers are relatively available. Macky is one of the best barbers, takes very good care of me. Recommend booking with him, does my fades pretty well. read more

If your looking for a barber that listens to what you want Macky is the guy. My normal barber was unavailable and I had an important trip to go to so I thought I would give The Barber Shop a shot. They did not disappoint as soon as I came in I was greeted and was offered some water which I appreciated. Macky was very personable and took the time to make sure the cut was what I wanted. i had a few minutes to kill, and in desperate need of a haircut. I stumbled across "The Barber Shop" located in The Collections. It was my lucky day, AJ was barber. I didn't exactly know what i wanted, and he was patient as i explained my thoughts. He listened well, asked questions, and shared sone ideas. Off we went, he cut my hair as we chatted about subjects of common interest (cars ;-). When he was done, i looked in the mirror and he nailed it. I highly recommend. read more

Got my haircut by Macky twice now and both were amazing experiences, awesome dude and great haircuts!

Been going to the Oxnard Barbershop to see Macky for a couple months now. Macky got skills with scissors and has clean lines and blends super well! He will make recommendations for haircuts based off your head shape, if you ask! Genuinely haven't had a barber like him in while. He's been cutting hair all around the world, so any hair type/style for him is not a problem. Go check him out if you need an amazing barber in Oxnard. read more

I was looking for a haircut for my two boys (6 and 8). Unfortunately the appointment we had fell through. Came by the barbershop and they had immediate walk in availability for back to back appointments. They were super nice and patient. As a bonus one of the barbers had some Pokémon cards that he gave to the kids for free. Awesome experience! read more

Great hair cuts. My stylist, Mayra is amazing. Ms Jackie has a great shop. Put out a good vibe and get a good beverage!!!

I've said it once, but I'll say it again. This is one of the best barbershops in the area. The barbers actually take the time to anticipate your needs and sculpt what you envision. This is a barbershop that I will come to over again. Great job guys and shoutout to Manuel! read more

Wow What a great place to get your locks trimmed. My son is picky as heck, and he wanted someone who could trim his long wavy hair without messing it up. This place came highly recommended by a friend and they were spot on. Conveniently located in the collection, plenty of parking outside (pay) or free parking if you don't mind the little walk to the parking lot. Deisy was super nice. Easy to schedule via phone and prompt to accommodate us that same week ( my boy had prom). She also took her time answering his questions about keeping his mane healthy. Props for that!! The ambiance is chilled but classy and the locale is kept clean. Check out their floor, looks neat with all the Pennies. A tad pricey for my high schooler who can't afford his own haircuts, but worth the price. He was satisfied and even hugged Deisy when finished. read more

Love the vibe. Entire staff was great. Excellent cut. Definitely going back! May hang out and enjoy a beer!

I went in today for a haircut and beard trim. I've been coming here for a while and I always have a great experience. It's a cool location and the staff is always friendly. I usually book with Daisy and I highly recommend her! She is so great to work with and super helpful. I have long hair so she helps provide tips and tricks to help me maintain my hair. I really enjoyed the hot towel and beard trim portion. Once Daisy leaned the chair back I was super relaxed. She even did an amazing head and scalp massage. When I finally opened my eyes I almost forgot where I was. Great stress reliever. I highly recommend The Barbershop for it's convenient location and awesome team, like Daisy! read more

Been a long time since I got a proper haircut. Barbers in the past have never given me exactly what I asked for; Either make my fade too high, push my line back, etc. However, after my experience today I'm happy to say I've found a spot that I can rely on. I got my haircut with Daisy, and to say I'm happy is an understatement. With past barbers, I'd just tell them what I'd want and they'd butcher it. Daisy took the time to consult my current hairstyle, and followed the reference photo I showed her perfectly. She was very kind and proficient with her tools. I will gladly return to this establishment, to Daisy especially! Thank you The Barbershop Oxnard for the dope experience. read more

The Barber Shop - Asked for a clean, minimal 80/20 haircut with tapered sides and back. - Barbers Near Me - Oxnard, California

This place is awesome! I came in for the first time this week and had an outstanding experience and a beautiful hair cut. (Please ignore the one negative review on this page, that guy is not right). I called in and let them know I was coming. When I arrived, Ivan was ready for me with a smile. It is very clear that he is very experienced at cutting hair. He told me things about my hair that would have never known. Like where my cow licks are, and why certain parts of my hair get poofy. Also, was an instructor at Lou Ross, cant get better than that! All in all, he was incredible and I am a customer for life. I will bring my son once he grows hair. And what a location!! It's a great experience and haircut, I 100% recommend.!! read more

The Barber Shop is unique and pretty darn swanky, too! Also, did you know they have a copper penny floor?! My youngest son recently got his hair butchered (by a shop that I will not name) and I needed it to be fixed ASAP! Wow, not only did Aaron fix my son's haircut - he turned my son's frown upside down! I normally don't pay too much attention when the barber's are doing their thing, but Aaron was like a ninja barber! I was mesmerized with his scissor whipping and twirling as he was cutting. Aaron is a professional and a total gentleman; a consummate barber who takes pride in his craft. I am so happy with this work that he will definitely be cutting both my son's hair from now on! If you're in need of a new barber, I highly recommend you book an appointment with Aaron -- through the app Klipped or by calling into the shop. read more

My buddy Christian works here. Great guy. I still remember when we use to cut hair back in the day when were in high school. It's located in the collection. Walking in, the other barbers make you feel welcome right away. I highly suggest to make an appointment so as to not show up for a long wait. They've got good music playing over their speakers and offer you a cold beverage while waiting or getting your haircut. I was overall satisfied with my haircut. I will definitely will go back again! read more

Came in to see AJ. Super cool guy. Also gave me a fire cut, best one I've had here in Oxnard. I'm definitely coming back to see AJ.

I had a great experience coming here the last few months during this pandemic! Before I gave a review of this shop, I wanted to get a cut from each of the barbers. Here's my experience: I was welcomed each time I came in, had my temperature checked, and was given hand sanitizer immediately. They even have disposable masks if you forget yours. They took the time to listen to what I wanted for my haircut, and made sure that their chairs and tools were properly sanitized before I sat down. They took the time to make sure my cut was perfect, and kept a conversation going to ease these crazy times. I know they may be pricier than other shops, but the time they take to make sure that I am well taken care of, and seeing their chairs/tools properly disinfected make it worth it. I highly recommend this shop! Tell them Omar sent you. read more

My husband and I were walking by to admire the classy decor of a traditional barbershop. I've been looking for a great barbershop for years for my husband, as he deserves to be well taken care of. We've tried salons, men's sports cuts, other places left us feeling wanting more. My husband needed a trim and Traditional Roy, Treyton Roy, the barber hooked him up good. I wanted my husband treated well and he did. He offered us a drink, cut his hair, cleaned his sides and even gave him a massage. The cut was perfectly done made for his features. My husband typically looks good, but damn Traditional Roy made my husband look hot!!! My husband left very happy, refreshed, feeling more confident and looking hot. We finally found a place here at the Barber Shop with Traditional Roy. Highly recommended and well be returning regularly. read more

I will never recommend this barbershop to anyone! I saw there were good reviews about this place like free beer, friendly service and the best of the best barbers which made me confident about coming here. I walk in, awkward vibes, wasn't greeted when I walked in till I got seated and the free beer that everyone mentions, I never got to see (not a big deal, just don't expect any). I showed the barber a picture of what I wanted, like I always show all my barbers, and also told him the specifics, mid tape, 1 fading to 4 on the back and sides, trim top to clean the split ends and blend the long hair (3-4" in height) on the back and on one side. I'm giving this place 2 stars because the barber did a great job for the sides and back but, he did not know how to blend long hair with short hair... He did the worst job I've seen ( I'm not exaggerating) at trying to blend the back, literally cut a chunck of hair off and said it was blended. I didn't realize till after I had showered and boy was I mad for a "professional" to let that slide. $35 for a hair cut is pricey already, and $35 for a lousy haircut was outrageous! No tip and they'll never get my business again. Good luck. read more

So I've been going to see Jackie for quite some time. She always does impeccable work and always gives constructive feedback when I ask questions. She always listens to what I say and always makes me look like a million bucks. When she opened her shop in Oxnard, there was no hesitation that I would go there for my haircuts/coloring. It's charming and has class. Although I live quite a distance away I always make time to drive to Jackie's shop and get my haircut once a month and I never regret going at all. Overall great service, fun people, and a classy atmosphere. read more

I have never written a review for anything in my life, but I am writing a review now for the first time. Scheduled an appointment and the barber straight up does not show up. Am I getting played or what is going on? read more

I don't write Yelp reviews & I've had many bad haircuts throughout my life, but this place gave me the worst by far. I paid for forced water cooler talk & a 10 second massage with a gun. All while some skater kid taking pictures in my face irritating me. Albeit I should've asked prior to showing up & I realize the area is posh but $40 for a men's haircut is a bad joke. The woman who cut my hair tried to maintain the "edgy" new-age barbershop trope by calling me "dude" constantly. Don't recommend this to anyone, if you like to give charity find something that'll actually contribute to those in need. read more

Great shop - would recommend to friends. Been going here now for about a month. Aaron cut my hair everytime, and the cut was perfect - grew out very well just in time for my next appt. Come check it out - the pennies on the floor is a nice, eclectic touch. Quick update: been seeing Aaron now for almost three months and I am still extremely happy with the shop, the service and my haircut. Aaron does a great job talking with me about my cut, how the previous cut was, if I want to make any changes - the things that are important to find in a good barber. Recommendation stands - go visit The Barber Shop in The Collection - they will treat you right. PS - they server beer and whiskey if you are age appropriate read more

I took my friend to get a hair cut today & wow there are not enough stars! The facility itself is very nicely decorated & most importantly, very clean. The staff is attentive & professional.
