The two ladies I saw started talking amongst themselves , turns out under 45 mins is not enough time to get a buzz cut and nothing fancy. I recently had an awful experience with this hair salon specifically with Mandi. When I called to make an appointment, I was immediately told they were fully booked. When I tried to ask about specific times that could work with my night shift nurse schedule, I was rudely hung up on! They have nice people and are sort of a folksy shop but they aren't customer focused - their expectation is the customer bend to their schedule, etc. This may work for some people with time on their hands but if you literally need a haircut and are on a schedule I'd avoid this place. read more

I often get compliments after she's cut my hair and even I like how it looks! Unfortunately she doesn't do reservations and she's often so busy you have no idea how long you're going to have to wait. Today I was refused service because I am black. If I could give no stars I would. Mandi cut my hair once before she wasn't super friendly towards me but the cut was good so I went back. Just to be told no she was "uncomfortable" doing my hair. I have my sides shaved, a fade nothing taken off the top. A cut she has done before for me. I work in this industry, and if you are a barber you cut hair, and guess what hair is hair. I was refused service because I'm black, a spade is a spade. When she was confronted she had no problem with what she said, and how she treated me. At the end of the day, there are no excuses for treating someone like that. I will never return as long as she is employed there. My suggestion is to hire or rent chairs to stylist/barbers that positively promote your business, not someone who has no problem tarnishing your name because of their unwillingness to provide the services you offer to all that walk into your shop. read more

I tried this place since I couldn't get in at my regular barber shop -- Liz's. As a comparison, for $16 here you a haircut and a vacuum run over your head. At Liz's, for $15, you get a shampoo and scalp massage and a haircut. It's probably not a fair comparison since this place is very old school. The haircut wasn't bad, and I'd use this place in a pinch. read more

It wasn't the best haircut in the world, but it wasn't the worst either. This was a nice hole in the wall barbershop. The haircut I got was not worth 14 dollars. I did ask for a high fade and I got a really high fade. This isn't supposed to take away from the work she (the barber) did. Needless to say I won't be returning. Not because it was a bad job, but because it wasn't a better job than I expected, especially for the price. read more
