Good food made from scratch sometimes takes time. I'd rather wait for a fresh meal than get something thrown together in five minutes. As for the "healthy food" comment, that wasn't an excuse it was an explanation. Not everything has to be drowning in butter, salt, or grease to taste good. Maybe the restaurant wasn't the problem. Sometimes when someone goes looking for something to complain about, they'll always find it. Judging by your review, it seems like nothing would have made you happy that day. But here in the Weston spot, expect to pay a little more, compete for a parking spot, and NOT have empanadas. It's not a spot for light bites and work (it gets pretty loud during peak hours). But I did enjoy my mortadella sandwich (VERY large and comes with a side salad -- so the $18 for a sandwich is justified), my Dubai chocolate latte, my dragonfruit matcha (love it's not too sweet!), and my pistachio croissant. The Weston location is definitely heavier on the sweets variety so if you don't want to commit to a sandwich, there's not really a savory snack. So you have to be okay with desserts and baked goods here! But maybe having two different Buddies is good so just know which vibe are you looking for!
