The menu is filled with sandwiches, bagels, paninis etc and all come with soup for £5.95 which is a bargain when you see the portions. However the most popular order seemed to be the high tea for two, which at £5 per person is amazing! The atmosphere is lovely, with a mix of couple, familes and quite a few grannies being treated to tea and cakes by their grandkids. The decor is nothing fancy, but the setting and welcoming staff easily makes up for it There is fabulous selection of Suki teas and homemade baking. Soups of the day this week were tomato with basil and potato and leek. Last wee I tried the curried butternut squash which was amazing! The setting is lovely and the food is well worth the 15min drive from Dennistoun. There is a garden centre and lovely views onto the loch so you could easily spend a few hours over a coffee, chatting and escaping city life. It was, appropriately, hidden away, behind the supermarket. And I had to walk right around the other side of it to get to the front door, which is at the back. I liked that a lot. It felt like finding a secret. I think Rudolph and the other reindeer would all fit in here because it is quite big, although it doesn't feel it. It still feels cosy. There's also a nice snug bit with armchairs for you and the elves. Please can I also have the pancakes with bacon and maple syrup? They were perfect; so so lovely. Fluffy fluffy pancakes, the bacon cooked spot-on and the maple syrup... oh, Santa, it was so lovely. There was extra maple syrup and it came in a BUNNY! I held it by the tail and tipped, and more lovely syrup came streaming prettily out of its little white china mouth. I loved that bunny. And it was all such good value. Please, please, please bring me The Hideaway, complete with the lovely village it's hiding in, and the Syrup Bunny, and the pancakes and the bacon. My wife had the fluffy scrambled eggs, creamy, cheesy, served over toast with bacon and hash browns. This is something she gets often, and she has had none better than the ones here. The service was excellent. It's not the biggest restaurant, but the tables seem to move fairly quickly, and they have outdoor seating on warmer days. The whole experience was a delightful way to start our day. So if you happen to be in Glasgow, Scotland, you have to check out the Wilton Street Pantry, you will not be disappointed!

There are a good amount of tables for the size of the space and seating you can sit to chat or as a single that looks out the window. There is a men and women's bathroom, and inside the women's restroom is a changing station for babies. The staff was very welcoming and kind, the service was fast, and the food was fresh and delicious! What an amazing find and pick. I ordered a latte, and my husband got a cappuccino. We both ordered the same breakfast which was an omelet with goat cheese and spinach. The omelet came with a small green salad, and we ordered a side of toast to split. It was the perfect amount of food. The toast taste so much better than the states. It came with a side of butter and red jam. Maybe raspberry? Whatever it was, we loved it! The goat cheese was smooth and creamy and the greens were refreshing and just plain fresh. Everything tasted better than what you would normally imagine. Breakfast isn't my favorite meal of the day, but the day we dined here it was! The location is only about a ten minutes drive from the castle. If you are in the area, I highly recommend coming here, and if we ever go back to Scotland and are close we will definitely go back as well. It is sparsely decorated but the theme seems to be related to bicycles. We stopped in for midday iced lattes and a snack. The lattes were good and I appreciate their to go cups and straws are all paper based. The granola bar we grabbed did not impress me at face value but wow was it delicious. Like chewy granola with some cinnamon added in. It was the perfect sweet pairing to the latte. There is plenty of indoor and outdoor seating here.

I have not found this level of food quality for the money anywhere else. The 2 courses for £10 menu is a steal with a better variety of healthy options (most gluten-free) than any other menu of similar type I have seen in the area. The service is friendly and solid. It was dimly lit and quiet. Breakfast was cheap. The service was exceptional. This is where I sampled a full Irish breakfast. Bacon, sausage, baked beans, mushrooms, tomatoes, eggs, black pudding and bread. I dreaded trying the black pudding because it is made with cooked and congealed blood from cattle or pigs. For me at least the thought of eating congealed blood was unappealing but I wanted to at least try it. It's been a breakfast staple for the Irish and the British for many years. It taste like a normal sausage to me. Our lattes were delicious. The pancakes were good but tough and the french toast was basic. Their bacon is very meaty and tasty. The eggs were cooked perfectly.
