So, we know when a bakery offers gluten-free, but they aren't really the best tasting, but we cope because we have to? Well, NOT THE CASE HERE! I had a lemon bar and a peanut butter chocolate brownie bar that were both AMAZING. Not good for gluten-free, just GOOD. It's really good. Prices for the gluten-free treats were also very reasonable. So, yes, I recommend. And, oh HECK YEAH, I'll be back. Service was great, too. Friendly, helpful, and efficient. Tip: This bakery is located inside the grocery store at Grand River and Huron.

I had heard…read moreabout this place on social media for so long but looked at the length of time it would take to get here, it is quite far for us. But after seeing the Japanese month lineup, I hopped into the car and drove over here. It was so worth it. The place is gorgeous. I love the different types of decor, they had the Japanese culture on display, along with French accents and an homage to Remy in Ratatouille along with an adorable playroom for children. I loved the sugar blown sculpture and along with all of the details to make this place transport you to a cafe in Europe. The people here were nice and helpful. There was a steady stream of people coming in the middle of the week. Product was flying out of the displays, some items were being replenished while others were selling out. I bought so many things, I went to the register three separate times. We started with two drinks. I got the sparkling water refresher. It could have used a little more syrup, but that's okay. My child had an iced coffee drink that she enjoyed. I scored my favorite focaccia mortadella sandwich that I must order every time I see it at a restaurant, and it was quite dreamy. I love for those sandwiches. It was so huge, I only ate half. My child had a marry-me chicken croissant square that was very nice. She also had a fresh berry stuffed croissant that tasted very fresh and refreshing. I was dreaming of a chestnut mount blanc and the one they made was identical to food in an anime and it was so lovely and delicious. I have always wanted to eat food found in an animated series, and the food here is that artistic. We took home a bunch of food as well. For the other child, I got the Gudetama guava matcha cream puff that was both adorable and refreshingly delicious. One child got the double cherry dessert is was dreamy. We also got the hojicha miso Zen garden tiramisu. The chocolate had such a satisfying crunch and the inside was creamy and perfect. I was craving a cinnamon roll. I was thinking of trying Cinnabun but it was such a good choice to come here instead. Their bun was huge, first of all, a great price, second, and third so fresh and delicious, it seems like a must order item. I got the frosted one but I would like to try the caramel one next time. They also have so many adorable gift for sale, it was all very enticing. And I love the window to see the chefs hard at work. This place is an adventure worth taking over and over again, I cannot wait to return.

This place is more than a sandwich coffee shop, it's a place where special needs people get to work with the public & put their training they receive at the Centerline location to good use, preparing them for the workforce. There was only one gentleman from the training center working when we stopped in on Saturday, but he was so polite & boy o boy, he made some fabulous sandwiches! And I'll say, it's apparent they definitely received fantastic training because everything we received was delicious & top notch! First off, WOW is the inside of this establishment HUGE! Something I wasn't expecting. They have an area off to the right with a comfy couch & an oversized comfy chair to sit at while enjoying your coffee. You could also sit there & read a good book or work on your laptop/tablet. We got sandwiches for lunch & I'll start by saying they make most of (not sure if they make it all) their bread from scratch at their main locaiton in Centerline & transport it here. It's fresh & SO yummy! My friend got their reuben on homemade rye. She said it was delish. I got their turkey bacon wrap (minus the avocado), Both sandwiches were full of a LOT of meat & the bacon in mine was cooked fresh & the turkey was more like leftover Thanksgiving turkey, because it didn't taste & look like deli sliced turkey, which I always appreciate a real turkey sandwich. Both sandwiches came with a dill pickle spear as well. And they brought our sandwiches out to us in a nice to-go box with also bringing us paper plates & napkins. As for their prices, VERY reasonable, considering the quality of food we received as well as the presentation. They also do a small breakfast selection & even sell some of their homemade breads. Don't pass this place by if you're looking for a nice lunch, breakfast or just a cup of coffee (& they even have some of the fancier coffee options too!) becuase you won't be disappointed!

When you walk in there is a very comfortable ambiance with very nice decor, updated woodwork, light fixtures and historic pictures/ photos of Port Huron or nautical views. There are many large spacious booths (6 smaller adults could easily fit) and tables as well, which look new but classic diner touches with silver molding/ trim. The staff were very friendly, hospitable and personable giving honest feedback for our choices as 1st time patrons. The coffee was delicious and the mugs had a good feel in the hand. I enjoyed the Country Fried Steak and my over medium eggs were perfectly cooked and delicious on their sourdough toast. Hash browns were buttery and had nice crisp to them. My friend had the Country Benedict and also enjoyed her meal very much. While the country gravy had ample bits of sausage and was plentifully served, it was a tad too thick for me personally; though our server said it was one of their best dishes. There was parking in the street in front the morning we went, not sure of additional parking options. The entrance is on the corner with 2 doors to get in, the door we used had a small step up and I believe the 2nd door may be more accessible for people with mobility challenges. Inside was spacious and his/ hers 1 seater restrooms that could accommodate mobility equipment (wheelchairs or walkers). Pricing was 2/4 $$, and appropriate for the high quality homemade meals you'll enjoy. We were even able to get coffee to go and enjoyed during our drive home to Dearborn! I highly recommend Maria's for a great experience and will definitely be back!
