You have to get here early if you want to get a seat and not wait. This place is a very simple and yet to the point deli/restaurant. There are so many options to choose from. You will be in food heaven. No matter how busy it is. I have always had the best customer service from each and every employee. The serving size of our pastries were bigger than our hands. There was no seating available in the restaurant at the time. However, we had seating in our car. You must try their pastries. Pricing is about $$. Yet, you can feed about 2-4 people with their pastries. Definitely if you take it home or if it makes it home. Warm it up and enjoy another level of goodness. We will definitely be stopping back to enjoy a bagel sandwich of some sort. I highly recommend you to stop by for a sweet treat, breakfast or a delicious bagel sandwich next time you are craving something yummy.

I'm a New Yorker. I can't believe someone can mess up an egg and bagel. They may have a good selection of bagels here and provide decent service... I'm just disappointed on the outcome. All good tho. Live, love and laugh - Sha

My horrible experience

I ordered the Reuben combo corned beef and pastrami on rye It was the worst sandwich ever The pastrami and corned beef were not sliced but the leftover pieces from the slicing machine. The best thing was the server and the French fries pieces all tiny small. This place is a rip off. The quality of food is horrible. I took half of the food home and later tossed it out as I would not feed it to my dog

The Bagel Cafe is a great place to grab a meal, some delicious desserts, bagels or from their deli. Items tried and liked (so far): Veggie Omelette - It's a favorite of ours. Mushroom & Cheese Omelette. Organic Spinach & Feta Cheese Omelette. Bagels and Cream Cheese - Strawberry & Blueberry (cream cheese & bagels) are our favorites. Black & White Cookies. Carrot Cake. Tiramisu. Cheesecake (strawberry and cookies and cream). Strawberry Cake. Rainbow Cookies. Elephant Ear. There are more thing's but these are the standouts. Employees are always nice and helpful. Interior is clean. Parking can get hectic depending on the time of day. Highly recommend. I hope you decide to check them out :)

Hand sliced Nova Platter 4oz (smoked salmon)

I've been eyeballing the smoked fish platters for a while, and I finally decided to try one today -- oh boy, I was missing out.I ordered the hand‑sliced Nova platter (smoked salmon) and paired it with an everything bagel topped with Nova scallion cream cheese and capers, and wow... what a burst of flavor. Fresh, tasty, and perfectly balanced. This is definitely my new go‑to next time I visit.Betzy was our server and she made great recommendations -- super friendly and spot on with her suggestions.

Some type of thin cookie with a citrus twist

What can I say when you find a perfect breakfast place you go back a second time. But will all seating it's fits plenty. It wasn't quite as busy but we went on a Friday as the holiday weekend just started about 8am but boy by 9am it was almost filled up(this many people can't be wrong). If I didn't say it before the portions are freaking huge. You can either split it or take it home but that's usually what happens. I just got a salted bagel with a side of whitefish. The bagels are so fresh and the fish well. My husband got the 2 piece challah French toast and it was huge. I needed up getting patties to take home because between the price and how big they are I believe my hand was forced to do this . Once an again a perfect spot and the service couldn't have been any better they really are so nice.

ALWAYS 5 stars! Stopped in on Christmas Eve for lunch. It was a rainy day and some matzah ball soup sounded so good! BC hands down has the best in town. Served w a bagel good enough to rival a NY deli w schmear ...fuget about it! I had coffee too which was always served hot and brewed perfectly. My friends had a cup of soup & 1/2 sandwich with a bagel. So much food! Even as busy as it was our server was attentive, polite and on top of everything. It's no wonder this place is STILL so popular. We will continue to keep visiting because we love Bagel Cafe!

Sad bagel

I'm so done with bagel cafe. Ive come here for many years and unfortunately over the last two years it's simply not the same. I've continued to go every few months holding out hope and today was the final straw. My fiancé called in a Togo order for 3 bagels and a side of bacon. When he got there he let them know he'd like to grab a pastry and juice as well. When he asked if his order was ready the cashier had an attitude and told him they're really busy and they'll call his name when it's ready. He explains he had already called the food in and she repeated the same sentiment. 25 minutes goes by waiting in the restaurant and he approaches the cashier again and she rolls her eyes ( apparently inconvenienced that he interrupted the employees all standing around talking.) He asked again if his order is ready and she regurgitates that they'll call his name when it's ready and then he points and says really because I think that's my Togo bag right there. Sure enough it was. After rude and slow service then to come home and discover they put about one tablespoon of cream cheese on our bagels and we didn't get our bacon, I'm done. I can't hold out hope any longer and you shouldn't either. Terrible experience start to finish.

There is something for everyone on the menu and they are super accommodating to making any changes. Though I enjoyed my meal and I'll never forget their menu presentation I didn't try anything that was memorable. The staff members here are kind and they know their stuff.

The food was incredible! I have a gluten allergy and they were able to accommodate my order no problem! I ordered the lox and a plain gluten free bagel and my partner ordered the chicken noodle soup both were spectacular! Service was amazing, we went on a Sunday and did wait a few minutes but this place is always busy on weekends and we would have gotten in right away if we sat at the bar. Our server was super nice and staff seemed really friendly overall. The restaurant is super cute and the decor is reminiscent of a New York spot even had some subway signs. Really delicious spot I will be going back again and again!

Finally made it here! It was a rainy night and I was in the mood for soup. I was happy to learn that it's open at night. I ordered the chicken noodle soup with a half pastrami sandwich . The chicken noodle soup was extremely flavorful and hearty! The cup was as big as a bowl! The pastrami was amazing! Just be right amount of pepper and sliced thin and very lean! It was topped with provolone cheese! The swirl bread was lightly toasted and good. The portions are generous! We also had matzoh ball soup. Everything is made fresh and all the meats are smoked in house! We were also offered bagel chips with pumpkin cream cheese which was their flavor of the month! We also loved the bakery section and took home some goodies! Will definitely be back for breakfast!

Solid food and service, but the standout for me were all the goodies in the bakery Bagel chips & cream cheese: crouton like crisps with creamy cheese and for free just hits the spot, 4/5 stars. Lox and everything bagel: smokey salmon, fresh veggies, and an authentic NY bagel, 4/5 stars. Matzo ball: hearty and goes well with half a sandwich, 4/5 stars. Half pastrami sandwich on rye: juicy and well-seasoned pastrami, 4/5 stars. Classic cheesecake: simple but perfect creamy texture with tangy and sweet notes, 4/5 stars. Mini black and white cookie: another classic and well executed here, 4/5 stars. Florentine cookie: these are sweet and satisfying, 5/5 stars! The bakery has numerous options that I will have to return to try more!

One of the things that we really appreciate is the dill pickle spear that we get with each of our sandwich orders. Having that pickle on the side really makes the order feel complete. It's like having a burger and fries or chips and a sandwich. At the deli, you expect the pickle with your sandwich. This was not the case the last time that we ordered food from here. We stopped in on Mother's Day. We ordered our sandwiches. Everything seemed fine. Our sandwich containers got pushed along the line and when they were ready, they called our name. Simple right? No. Not exactly. The cashiers were quick to take our money and we were just as quick to bring our sandwich back, upset and disgruntled. We felt gypped. None of us got pickles. We didn't know why. The hubby was upset! He went to the cashier to complain. He told them that he would like to be refunded his tip, simply for the fact that they never mentioned the fact that there were no pickles available today. He was not asking for a refund on his sandwich. He just thought that they could've pasted a bit better discretion and making sure that all of the customers there knew that there were no available for Sandwiches today. I can't even tell you how upset he was. Like I said, I know it seems like a silly thing, but it's like missing the fries to your burger or the chips to your sandwich. The whole entire sandwich felt incomplete!!! So like I said, a refund for the tip was requested. Instead, the cashier ended up refunding the entire cost of one of the sandwiches. We tried to compromise with the deli, asking that maybe we buy a side of potato salad, but instead because of the problem with the pickle being unavailable, maybe they only charge half of the regular price of that sign. We're trying to upsell ourselves. Not Conley. The cashier didn't say anything. She just had a crunching. She didn't make eye contact. She never said sorry. She just went ahead to refund the cost of no one and that wasn't. Now, granted that was still a good amount, but the whole ordeal really so simple to dissolve. We were really disappointed in the lack of enthusiasm in the cashier trust us. We were also even more upset with the fact that the deli wouldn't let people know ahead of their ordering that there were no pickles. The hubby suggested that maybe they put out a sign saying that there were no pickles available today. One of the employees said, "oh no, we can't do that!!" I have a feeling they were worrying about the pickle situation and announcing it because then people would turn away from the restaurant. But, I understand that. For some people, a pickle is serious business. I know it seems crazy but at the same time. I get it. There's plenty of ample seating in and outside of the deli. It's always fun to sit there with people watch. Sometimes the line at the deli is exceedingly long, but don't be discouraged. Unless of course they're out of pickles, the line moves pretty quickly. Hopefully the next time that we pay this deli a visit, the pickle situation will have been resolved.
