Omg, These guys don't take advantage of people. My car was at Rairdon Jeep with a quote of nearly…read more$8,000 to fix issues that were nearly non-existent and wanted a 2nd opinion. Turns out, it stemmed from my battery replacement not being finalized by AAA which caused problems with the car not shifting from first gear to second gear. Not only did Raridon not even address this issue in their $8,000 quote to me and that it wouldn't be fixed. Dougs even figured out the issue with the computer showing a number of nonexistent issues - it was a computer glitch. Rairdons didn't question the computer and was happy to try to take 8k of my hard earned funds unnecessarily. Rairdons knew this happened immediately with a transfer of the battery and I specifically told them that I suspected it had to do with the battery. They didn't even inform me that the shifting issue wasn't addressed. I asked what happened to the shifting issue. By then I'd already found Doug's and was going to give them a chance because of a really great initial conversation that showed me they knew much more than the Jeep Dealership. Josh explained about. They only charged me for a single hour of work. In my opinion, they undercharged me. It was an incredible experience and Josh knows his s***. I'm 63 and female.... Rairdon saw me coming. (One of the worst things Rairdon did was tell me they could have this 8k worth of work done by the end of the day... Really?) Josh and Tony are fabulous!! Teresa

These guys need an attitude check and maybe an assistant to help them with answering the phones…read more I called in to ask them a simple question for a quote on a possible car horn replacement for my specific car model and he said "I have no idea I can't give that to you right now I have like 30 cars waiting to be serviced." I understandably responded that I didn't need a quote right away and that I could leave my number and they could call me back at anytime as I understand they could be busy. He took my number down and I never got a call back or ever heard from them again. Honesty a it's a joke of an interaction considering what I asked was so simple and I was accommodating to how busy they were. Why even answer the phone if your response is going to be sorry I have like 30 cars waiting to be serviced. It was a waste of both of our time.

Truck still ran poor, brought it back so they could see if the coil or spark plus were firing correctly. My wife noticed a handwritten charge on both receipts, finally figured out it said card run fee, because I used my charge card, both times the fix cost over $1200 each, then the charges for fees on credit card was $97.41 no where did it state I would be charged a fee for using a credit card, our friend who works for mac recommended him, I would not. They work on cars and fix things and charge huge prices, when I called two other mechanics I have used before, I was told the total cost for the coils and labor would be $899 minus 20% for aaa discount. Make sure IF you ever use these people you tell them not to do any of the work until you hear from them on the amount before the work is started.I'll be calling my back once this clears through and file a dispute on charges not authorized.

Since I'd had one done by Chris' German four years ago on a Porsche 996 along with subsequent maintenance on that car there I decided to obtain a second opinion before going forward with the purchase. I left a voicemail over the weekend for Chris & John. I then dropped by on Monday morning hoping Chris could get me in and he gladly did. John called the salesman and I immediately after completion to relay the objective results and I completed the deal that night. Additionally, I've contacted John on numerous occasions to get his opinions regarding maintenance concerns on my 996 and he's always given me excellent advice. These gentlemen are consummate professionals and I consider this the finest Porsche mechanic in this area.

In my experience, Chris's German Auto Service has proven to be an excellent mechanic. On this inspection, I worked closely with Chris and Troy who inspected my new purchase. Chris and Tylor attention to detail has raised the bar to a new level of excellence. The "PPI" was performed without issues. Write-up was produced quickly and completely, repairs were priced competitively and executed quickly, and requisitions were obtained on time and without revision or added expense. From manpower to materials, the schedule was managed perfectly; throughout, the "PPI" and as a result the car was delivered on time and within budget. Chris and Troy brought a teamwork approach to the job and proactively sought prompt and effective solutions to minor issues. The mechanic at the shop worked safely and produced quality work with minimal extras. In closing, I am confident that given the opportunity, Chris's German Auto Service would be a valuable asset to any new purchase "PPI" or repair required. Sincerely, Steve Scherner
