Also, she makes it fun by making you do exercises you never even knew before, but the ones that make the "difficult" areas shrink. I've had a true luck and honor to find Katie during my trip to Maui and in just 7 short days of working out with her 1:1 and taking her group classes I saw some great progress and felt / saw good results. For context, I worked out with personal trainers in the past so my "bar" is high and Katie is right on top and above that bar. I was truly impressed with Katie's professionalism, level of preparation for classes, hardcore/challenging but at the same fun exercises, and attention to me. I noticed this reviewers abuse of the equipment well before the Trainer, mentioned in the review, came in. The equipment is fairly new and not rusted at all. It's all very well maintained. The reviewer was treating the equipment very aggressively. It was very apparent that he did not have any care for the gym. The Trainer was not rude. She asked the reviewer twice to stop abusing the equipment. He continued to disrespect her and the gym. She had no choice to calmly ask him to leave. He argued, of course, and finally left when more staff came over. I'm sure PH gym would love his business.

He gave us options on either drop ins, class passes or weekly pass and we decided to sign up for the whole week. The classes were fun & the other athletes were really welcoming. We never felt like outsiders and felt more comfortable than in any other gym we've dropped in at. We learned a lot in a week there and we both hit a PR on our power clean. We will miss working out at Makena and will definitely come back and visit them all sometimes soon again.

All three of us got up on our very first wave, which set such a fun and positive tone for the whole lesson! Very clear with cueing and frequently encouraging us to remember key concepts of specific movements. I tried both locations and found that I preferred the Pa'ia locale for it's more intimate experience and constant fresh breeze. It was my first experience with the Lagree method and love it so much. Came back home and my workout buddies could see a difference after ten classes!
