Last weekend, I decided that I needed a new hair stylist at a new salon, so at my mother's recommendation, I gave Salon Boheme a call. The stylist gave me a great shampoo (including a really nice scalp massage - not too hard, not too soft, and she didn't dig into my scalp with her nails, which I've had other stylists do) and then got down to business with my hair cut. I don't think I've ever had such an appropriate haircut for my hair type and length. I have long, bodiless, straight hair, and she added internal layers (I believe that is what she called them), which really helped with volume and body. To finish off my style, she she created waves/loose curls, which I loved. She then asked me which shampoo, conditioner, and other products I was using and provided me with different recommendations. (Turns out the ones I used were not appropriate for my hair!) She did not, however, force the recommendations down my throat and noted that their were trial sizes I could buy if I wanted to give her recommendations a shot without spending/wasting a ton of money in case I didn't like the products. read more

I had a great experience with Salon Boheme! My stylist Erika, was very friendly and helpful in getting the exact cut I wanted for my hair. She definitely knew how to work with my hair type and suggested a layering technique under my top layer of hair that would allow me to still have a blunt cut without all the extra weight of my normally heavy hair. The salon itself is very well decorated, with displayed artwork for sale as well. The other stylists were all very friendly, as was the front desk staff. Overall, I am pleased with Salon Boheme as well as the stylist I was scheduled with, and will definitely be back! read more

I wish I could rate it lower. I went in for a trim which was clarified by "cut one inch from the bottom." I left with a cut so bad, I could not hide it in a pony tail. I called to get them to fix it, they put me with the same "stylist" who was completely clueless on how to remedy her error. I left with hair 9 inches shorter and another incredibly bad haircut. I called to speak to the owner to request a refund, she insisted I come in so she could cut it herself "complimentary." She did a decent job, but my 3 hours in a chair and the fact that I paid for the original cut, I was still in the hole. I called the salon a few months later because I did not want a new stylist to see the butcher job Salon Boheme performed and think I was okay with bad cuts. I asked for Trina to cut my hair, but she apparently only works on Saturdays. I requested a stylist who is experienced in fixing bad cuts and highlights. When I arrived, Lauren cut my hair but had no clue I was also expecting highlights. They accommodated my original request by putting me with another stylist for my highlights. While I was getting my highlights, Trina (the owner who only cuts on Saturdays) was cutting an employee's hair. It was not a Saturday. I left the salon after my recovery cut and highlight $180 lighter. When I pulled my hair into a ponytail, the same day, my roots were visible and uneven. I have considered calling to speak with Trina about the second horrible experience, but she didn't make me whole after the first experience so I had no reason to expect a different result this time. I posted photos to better demonstrate how badly my hair was cared for while at Salon Boheme. Do not go there if you love hair. I have spent several hundred dollars on vitamins and other treatments to stimulate hair growth. read more

I came 30 minutes early with two kids and couldn't have asked for better service! They helped me keep my children happy while I was in the chair and fixed all of my dead ends while keeping my length. The price is very reasonable for every 8 weeks. It was $35 this first time since I was referred here and the next time it will be $45. If you refer someone you will also get $10 off your visit. I received free samples for my dead bangs and can't wait to come back! read more

So I decided to go ombre and was quiet nervous about the colors not blending but I chose Lizzie based on a lot of great reviews online and I must say she lives up to her reputation! Her and her assistant did a great job and if I'm ever back in the BR area I will definitely go to her!! read more

Wonderful atmosphere, I had a GREAT haircut and color! I always hesitate to try new places because I have had some bad hair cuts in the past (at other salons). But salon boheme did an AMAZING job and I felt like my hair stylist did exactly what I wanted! read more

I would NOT recommend this place. First off, the staff was not professional (some ladies who worked there were smacking each other's butts and my hair stylist was talking to another stylist about a male customer hitting on them and how old and creppy he was right in front off me). Second, my haircut was bad. Third, this was my first color experience and it was NOT good at all. Let me start by saying, this is my first time doing color. I told Meghan that I wanted to cover some grays I have since I'm going to this wedding (I don't have a lot of gray but since I have dark hair they stick out) but I did not want to change my hair color or damage my hair. She recommended a Demi permanent color saying it WILL cover gray and left it in my hair for 35 min. Little did I know (and learned online later) Demi does not always cover grays because it depends on your hair type. Off course she left that little detail out. Now my hair appears more frizzy and dry than before which I'm assuming is damage from the color AND on top of that, the color did not cover the gray. So basically I paid $110 for a bad BAD haircut and a color that did nothing but damage my hair and did not cover anything. I guess one positive is she curled my hair which come to think of it, hid the ugly haircut she gave me. At least it looked half way nice for one day. Based on my experience, I would not recommend this salon to anyone. read more

I went in today to get a cut and color. The cut and style were good but the color was bad. I have been coloring my own hair red for 6 years and was desperate for time so I decided to get it done professionally. I showed the girl the color I usually use so she could match it but it came out too dark. She almost forgot to use the 'color off' to get the orange off my face until I reminder her at the very end. Little did I know, not only was there orange around my hair line but the glaze had dripped down the side of my face, down my neck, there was a splatter dot on my cheek, and there was still permanent color in my ears. Theres no way I can go out and enjoy my style with orange everywhere. When I got home and changed I realized there are a few light orange dots on the back of my white shirt that better wash out, and the silver chain I was wearing needs to be soaked because it too is orange because she told me I didn't need to take it off. I mentioned to the front desk girl at checkout that I wasnt quite happy and all she told me was "you should have let her know", like its my fault I look like an oompa loompa. I was not that upset until after the receptionist dismissed my problems and blamed me. NO THANK YOU, i WILL NOT BE BACK. read more

I told her on my initial visit that I'd never told anyone how to cut my hair, so it was up to her. She did a great job - I always got a lot of compliments and my hair feels and looks great. I can't say enough good things about this salon.. And especially Haylie that works there. I hadn't had my hair dyed at all in 6 months because my previous salon destroyed it and I've tried to keep it as healthy as I could. I had an appointment at Salon Eden across the street, but due to incompetence they were unable to take me today and proceeded to treat me very ugly for a mistake that they made scheduling me. I called Salon Boheme and Haylie fit me in no problem. From beginning to end Haylie was amazing. I have naturally dirty blonde hair but I wear it platinum. Many people have had trouble with my hair in the past because it likes to turn gold when lightened. Haylie recognized this immediately and took painstaking measures to make sure my hair would be exactly how I wanted. She made it clear that I would not leave until we were BOTH happy with the job she did. She gave me the exact color I wanted with a little dimension. She is outstanding and will definitely be my hair go-to girl from now on! As far as the other staff, they were all extremely friendly.. Not a snooty place AT ALL. Haylie was especially sweet and funny. A great person to talk to for a couple hours while you get your hair done. I finally found my permanent salon. read more
