When I first went to her for a pre-natal massage, this was a huge deal to me and has been ever since. The owner's listening and communication skills far exceeded my expectations to focus the massage in the most needed places and with the right pressure. The environment of the room was incredibly relaxing, and I honestly felt right at home with the set-up of everything I needed. I highly recommend The Uncommon Massage as the best massage practice in Baton Rouge and am so excited to hear the hours have opened up to fulltime, so I can go there more frequently. Major plus there. Grace did a fantastic massage, kept me under the sheet the entire time and frequently asked if the pressure was ok. I will definitely go back and and ask for her. Obviously she thought the entire hundred was for her, when it was not. Other than that 9/10 stars.

The staff were extremely nice and accommodating. We arrived 30 minutes early, filled out paperwork for 10 min and was called back right at our massage time. The lobby smelled like old lotion. Not in a bad way lol, just like a bottle of lotion that is expired and lost its scent. Almost like a clay smell? Anyway, I ended up getting a facial and husband got the massage. My facial was extremely relaxing and my husband said that his massage was great! She even gave him homework to stretch because he was super tense. I paid online, but ending up adding a few things so at the checkout, they said that they would wave the fee for the couples massage to be performed in the same room (which I was confused because we booked the couples massage assuming this would be done as a couple in the same room). Either way, glad it was waved! This place has nice and accommodating staff. Would recommend.

Other bonuses: Ashlea offers cupping add-ons to the massage and the website makes it so easy to clearly see what times are available and fast to book.
