We had different sales people with the exact well-trained sales approaches. "I refuse to sell you a pair of shoes in the size you are requesting." I heard other customers being told that in the store while waiting. I said my shoe felt too large and I could fit my finger behind the heel, I was told that's normal and we have $50 inserts to make the already expensive shoe fit better. My husband chalked it up that he made a bad decision in buying shoes a little too big that cause him to stumble when walking an inside track. I went back to Fleet Feet 1 day past the 30 day/month policy to exchange my shoes because after walking in them 4 times on an inside track, my foot started flopping around in it. I've always worn a 5 - 5.5 and even with realizing my narrow feet got larger with age, I was placed in a size 7. The salesperson could not help me out with an exchange mainly because of the return policy time that was shortened only a month prior to my purchase, and besides they didn't have any size 6 Brooks for the exchange. I went to two other "reputable" shoe stores who measured my feet traditionally. I was told by both stores that I should not be wearing a shoe larger than a 6. So buyer beware. We truly believe that our local Fleet Feet store sells whatever is in stock and we both will know better from now on. It may be great for runners, but not for basic walking.

However, none of that matters if the selection of product doesn't pan out but here it does: they have a great selection of recent sneaker releases and clothing, too. I bought a pair of camo mesh shorts by their own Politics label which are well-made and hype. Their location in the French Quarter is also superb. I highly recommend checking them out.

The tracking never moved, and when I contacted the company they couldn't even confirm whether the package was actually shipped or ever picked up by the carrier. Instead of taking responsibility, they immediately blamed the post office and said the package was lost. However, the post office advised me to verify if the seller had physically mailed the item at all -- something the company was unable to prove. It seems like a shipping label may have been created without the item ever being handed over. No clear answers, no proof of shipment, and no real effort to resolve the issue. Customers shouldn't have to do the investigation themselves after paying for an order. Very disappointing experience and I would be cautious ordering from them.

They have the usual "casual, but not too casual" type of clothes that they've always offered and they had a nice selection of dresses, tops and sweaters that I was happy to look through. On the day I was here, I was in the market for some new jeans, so I snagged a pair for a pretty good price. The thing about is Express is that this store is only really worth checking out if they're having a sale. Otherwise, I do find them a little pricey for the quality of goods you're getting. With that being said, I have always liked their jeans and I do think that they are actually worth the price tag.

I'd essentially decided to stop at every damn store in the mall to see if they had red leggings (or at least tights) to go with the fabulously ugly sweater I managed to find for $12 elsewhere (will save that for another review), and miraculously, Express had both! Yay! Also, generally, I'm a fan of Express clothes when I can afford them. I'm still wearing pants from 2005 that I bought when I started my very first job ever. They get worn all the time, and only one pair out of like 6 finally gave up and ripped a seam. Their clothes are well-made and last forever, which is awesome if I'm going to invest that much money in a shirt or pair of pants.
