It was very exciting to move into this building. Everything is beautiful. However, 10 months into my lease I was served with a notice to vacate in 60 days. I assumed I would be living at Artani for a few years. There was no indication from Laura Gray-McNabb, or George McNabb that the building would go up for sale and everyone evicted within a year.
My experience after being served: George McNabb (owner) initially did not offer a dime to assist with moving. I communicated to George that moving in cost several thousand dollars and moving out would be just as costly. There was no apology form George or no acknowledgment of the time and expense incurred by moving.
After voicing my disappointment several times George finally offered $500 dollars to move out by March 15th. I did my best to vacate, however, I missed the 15th by one week. He refused to pay anything. I spend 6 hours cleaning along with a cleaning crew to help George sell the apartment . Additionally, (this is the part where it hurts) I paid $1000 to install window coverings and another $900 for rugs to protect the floor. I was never offered any compensation for these expenses. I would never have moved there knowing I would be forced to vacate within a year to sell the building.
In my opinion, George has no regard for others. I never want to hear of Geroge NcNabb, Paragon Real Estate, or Laura Gray-McNabb (leasing agent). In my opinion, these people are crooks and I would be careful doing any busines with them . read more
