I have past this great looking older Library for years and finally went in. They had a very large section of Native American books and some from the history of the Riverside and nearby cities. Also about the Riverside mission hotel,nearby Mount Roubidoix and cemeteries history. read more

Some times over by the chairs in the corner they sit there and talk loudly but they have no where else to go, wish the library was bigger and also it's a great location I mean food is just across the street and next door. So if you get hungry there is food. And a short trip back to the library. They have outlets to charge everything and the laptops are super nice and they offer a mouse to borrow too! Make sure to return it! And the earbuds I wish they still sold them, the kids area I hope they remodel that for them. They have bathrooms that are clean. Please don't shower in them. read more

This is a GREAT small library that I PRAY that the city doesn't destroy! It's quiet. There should be laptops and that would reduce the amount of other computers. Privacy screens should be in place too. As for the seating it's the best better than all the libraries. I never go to the NEWLY built library. It's not comfortable at all! Money should have been spent making a homeless day center/cool center downtown not that type of library. Libraries are safe houses and we need safe houses and other places they can go during the day. Day programs are in place for disabled seniors and disabled individuals but not for anyone that is not disabled, or a senior. This city needs to build more Daytime and overnight shelters. Being there is no housing or they still need to spend money building permanent apartments for the disabled and not just if they are are only a senior and disabled! Yep I put this all right Here! The library is small but pleasant. The number of books hardly matters since you can order books from anywhere within Riverside. Also, the librarians are polite and informative. There are homeless people outside, but the homeless people need somewhere to be, and a public library is as good as anyplace. I am just glad I'm not homeless. The internet is for two hours a day, which comes in handy for anyone who has legitimate needs (as opposed to game play). read more

The Arlington library. Happy kid memories before the internet. *sigh* I remember when it was the one building and you entered on the side that faced 7-11. I also remembered when there was a movie matinee at the Arlington theater close by on Magnolia. They tore down that wonderful old theater for... A dirt lot. Way to go, Riverside History Association! I even remember the Silver Bell restaurant across the street. Yah, I guess I'm getting old. I don't suppose anyone else remembers since no one who is born in Riverside stays in Riverside. *sigh* Mom introduced me to books when I was a kid, and let me tell you, it was a joy to be able to borrow books for free (!!!) back when I was a kid. I loved horses and Halloween and spent many a happy hour there. I even remember all the Atomic Bomb Cold War pamphlets they used to carry. I checked it out for the first time in a couple decades the other day, and discovered you enter from the back. It seems popular among the wifi people, I wonder if anyone reads books any more. You know, turns actual paper pages rather than Nook and Book readers. Ahh well, those wifi people will be old one day too, looking back with fondness at the early days of wifi. This location is convenient for me, but I think I'd still rather go back to Corona to use their library. I checked it out after I got my library card and it just seemed small, like it doesn't have much to offer. Also, some of the "randoms" sitting outside made me slightly uncomfortable, I was glad I was wearing headphones in case I was asked for a dollar. Oh and I found their system of using the internet odd, signing in at that front computer and getting an assigned number for whatever computer they pick for you. Although, the 2 hour time limit is better than Corona's 1 hr limit. I went in a second time, because I needed to fax something ASAP and was told they didn't have a fax machine. Um, what? I haven't been to the other libraries in Riverside yet, but something tells me they'd probably still be better than this one. read more

This library is a safe place to go until 6pm most nights but let me tell you the parking lot after at 5:50pm is horrible and unsafe where are the police is what I want to know or the security at this library , he was sitting inside the building , there needs to be security outside too to keep the cars from sitting in the parking lot waiting for people to come out as the library closes that are just there to bother others as they come out of the library, the police need to drive around Riverside more often and keep an eye out for bodily injury crime going on after dark also, I don't see any police around much other than them driving around the streets passing by pretty fast... Business's need to be open to people to stay inside of if they aren't feeling safe also! Especially around this library in the evening at 6pm at night... no more rule that you can stay and eat only thirty minutes in a restaurant too! There literally use to be signs up that said that you had to eat your food in thirty minutes too , It should be an hour that is allow to eat food or sit there when it's getting dark so early at night. People want to change the time so that it never gets dark till 8pm and I agree but that didn't happen. read more

It's our favorite library to go to. Its clean and the librarians are very helpful. I have no complaints.

This might be the smallest library ever. However, I really like that the drive-up drop off box is on the left side... meaning, I don't have to get out of my car when I drop off my books. Also, the automated check out computers are so easy to use. read more
