If you're in the mood for diner food, this is your place! Also, elsewhere will either take too long or be an dine-in restaurant. Now, don't set your expectations too high because this is a beach diner. Fish & Chips & some soft serve is all you can expect. I once made the mistake of ordering a salad--or the sad sister of thereof. I got a pile of lettuce with a baggie of croutons and something that resembled ground turkey. Voila! They call it a Caesar Salad. Don't make the same mistake. Port Dover is famous for their perch and this is exactly what you should order. The portions are always generous but not overwhelming--nobody wants to eat too much at the beach anyways. Their fries are pretty good, but I find it depends on when they changed the oil (typical diner problems). If you're a beach-goer, this is your spot! The combination of the 2 restaurants is probably the size of 1 in most other locations. But I had to make sure to review this place, because this is the only Harveys I have seen in I don't know how long, where they do not hide the ketchup or napkins behind the counter!! That is right, instead of asking for ketchup, and they give you 2 packets and you ask for more, at this location, they leave it out and you take it yourself. I don't think I will every understand why my favorite fast food chain have to be cheap with ketchup and even napkins at some locations. Paying over $10 for a meal, you should get as much ketchup as you want.
