    I had to HAVE IT!!!
    Candace D.

Service was a pleasant older man who was so very nice...helped me with several items in cabinets I wanted to try on and look at..plugged in some lights for me to make sure they worked...so many unique items and antiques ...priced moderately and very worth it for sure....a couple items we want to go home and see where we could put them before buying them! Nice quaint and quiet atmosphere ..definitely will be back.

This place is full of unique stuff and the person behind the counter who helped me look at jewelry was patient and very friendly. I ended up getting a beautiful ring that I am already wearing. Will definitely be back

If you take the time and browse, you'll find many items of interest at annex. The problem is the price tag! After watching hours of HGTV, I was inspired to find some vintage decor and clean it up/re-purpose it for the house. I found an old fancy dial telephone and a star shaped light fixture that caught my eye, but once I looked at the price tags, I was turned off. For the cost to make it working and beautiful again, I might as well buy something brand new to decorate with. When I shop at a place like this, I am hoping for a deal since it's vintage and used stuff. They also have a sizeable collection of records, which we shuffled through. Many are priced at $5, which is a steal! Recommend for those who like older music and listen to records. Overall, a neat shop in the Old Market selling antiques and used items. There are a good handful of antique shops in this corner of the Old Market, and I think it adds character and flair to our town.

Great post card finds! Most from the 1930s.

Small store with prices on the higher end, but still a great place to look through. I was looking for old post cards from the 1930s and came away with way more then I had hoped! They had boxes to look through with various cities on the front, most had been filled out and sent. If your in the Old Market browsing make sure you stop in! This place might be the wildcard your looking for.

Take a step back in time, with all my fave stuff in the world here! Old Records, tape machines, cool retro furniture, toys, books, seriously got it all! The little record store in the back has got some great stuff, and even carries some new things as well! It's so cool how many places in Omaha have records for sale! This building would be a cool place to go if you need to kill some time! Lots of fun retro stores to choose from, with this one definitely being my favorite!

This place has some really neat finds. Everything is 20% to 30% over-priced and the staff are very unfriendly.

This place is the bees' knees and fun for all ages. You will get lost in every nook and cranny, not only from all the fun, but you literally feel like you're transported back in time. I felt like a kid in a candy store.

At points in my life I have collected comic books, other comic book related items, movie related merchandise, and diecast. This place has all that and more...! Shop smart and take your cell phone to stare and compare. I found a few items reasonably priced, but I found quite a few more that were well above what they could be purchased for online including shipping. One thing about collectibles though... Sometimes it's worth a few dollars more to have it in your hands. I've been surprised a few times when I received items that weren't as described or packaging was damaged in transit. Antiques and collectibles are a different market as a buyer... If you see something you want it's better to buy it right then if it's priced within reason. You may never find that same item again... Old Market is what Old Market is... It's geared to tourists and things are often a little high priced in areas like this. So is their rent usually... These areas attract a high volume of people and if you don't want to pay the marked price...someone who comes in right behind you just might. Some of the items here are a little dusty, but I guess that's to be expected with that many surfaces. Pretty hard to stay on top of all of it... The Imaginarium Old Market Mercantile is defintely worth the stop if you are into collectibles and/or nostalgia!

But it's worth looking for, as you'll probably find something you didn't know you were looking for. What sets Among Other Things apart from all the other shops selling vintage and consignment stuff for the home is that their collection is well-curated. You won't find cheap craft crap; you'll find cool stuff from throughout the last, oh, 120 years or so. Any of it would look good in a well-appointed home. And thank heavens, they haven't completely jumped on the mid-century trend as most other such places have. From chairs to rugs to cards, there's something here for anyone with good taste. (I picked up a fairly recent photography coffeetable book at a reasonable price.) There's also an adjoining women's vintage clothing store (unfortunately, nothing for guys). While the location might be a little tough to find at first, it's one to put on your radar. (And not far from NFM, so any time you're thinking of visiting them, stop by here, too.)

But again, overpriced for what they are. The store is quite crowded, I don't think a stroller could fit through some of the walking paths. I worry about bringing my big purse in. Overall, it's a fun place to peruse, but after many visits, I've yet to pull the trigger on buying anything.

The thing I still think about here is the ability to carry around a basket OR place the basket into a metal buggy!
