Unfortunately for the Annex, they have an incredibly rude bartender named Mel. I have great things to say about the bar, the atmosphere, even the drinks were amazing! It's crazy how one employee can ruin an entire experience and lose customers. The owners should really consider retraining or replacing her, a little customer service goes a long way!

Cool vibe, chill folks, great bartender. Sydney made us feel welcome. Will for sure be back.

Our Airbnb was close so we walked over for some drinks. Dark, moody interior that's perfect for couples or open patio for large groups. Order at the bar where Linda will serve your beer or cocktail with a smile. You can sit down at either end for more intimate seating in leather couches/chairs or sit outside with a large group. The cocktails were great and service friendly. Check it out if you're in downtown Corpus Christi!

Incredible vibes, tremendous cocktails and great service. Will make it a regular stop. (and thanks to Sydney: best of luck!)

Friendly staff, relaxing and inviting atmosphere, and amazing drinks and drink specials. This small but vibing dog friendly bar is a great place to hang. Really enjoy the classes they have hosted like painting and candle making among other things. It's now my go to with the husband for a quick date night or with friends for a ladies night.

    It's Derby Day...Mint Julep, please.

The Gold Fish has proven this long-held collective pessimism wrong. Originally a cocktail bar only, it has now expanded into a cocktail, beer and wine outdoor/indoor bar, which makes complete sense given the city's demographic demands. It was actually one of the first businesses I was most concerned with us losing permanently during the pandemic. And I am so glad they have stuck around! It is a modern cocktail bar at its core, which makes it very unique to this city. This is an obvious adoption of cocktail bar trends from other larger cities in Texas. It is very nice, with a wide array of adult beverage options for discriminating consumers to chose from. The atmosphere is perfect, and the bartenders and staff are top-notch and super nice (the attitude is refreshing compared to what one may be used to recieving from such establishments in larger cities). I usually only come here when I have company from out-of-town, as I do not go out for drinks very often. At my most recent visit, I had just experienced a personal tragedy that I only briefly alluded to our bartender when she asked how our day was going. The amount of sincere compassion we received was not expected at all. My only regret is that I did not get her name, or else I would have gladly included it in this review.

Incredibly attentive (by default) he was great at answering our questions and making recommendations. I tried out the Balacera - boasting both mezcal and absinthe, two widely hated spirits on their own which had the potential to make it disgusting...and it was fantastic! Super unique and refreshing on the particularly muggy day. We also ordered a cherry vodka soda, which came topped with homemade maraschinos and juice, which was equally tasty. We also tried out a gin daisy and ghost of greyhound (a nod to the location previously being a bus station, hence, the BUS moniker). The gin daisy was a little too heavy on aperol for my tastes, but the ghost was another hit. It was great to see a specialty menu of drink combinations you don't often find. We didn't stick around for food, but couldn't help but take in the cute decorations and details both inside and out. A fun addition to the widening "trendification" of downtown Corpus. I do believe I will be adding this to my rotation when in town!

I had a hamburger that was very good, and their french fries that are called something other than french fries were great! I think they were called potato cracklings. It was a nice relaxing atmosphere, the seating was outdoors, but super comfortable.
