We celebrated our 10 year vow renewal in Maui at Maui Pineapple Chapel with 50 guests. Before we walked down, they served infused water and lemonade to all the guests. After the ceremony, our guests walked down these stairs for group photos and we ended up having a cocktail hour down the big hill just by the way people were socializing. Let me tell you all this team walked down that big hill and served everyone their drinks and took drink orders. It was seamless. The bar service was amazing. It was so fun. I'm so grateful. I love lychee so they made me a special signature drink to serve and mocktail versions too. Big smiles all over from the team that made everything super enjoyable. I loved that we got to buy our own alcohol from Costco and then I could return any bottles that were unopened and unchilled. This was one of the BEST vendors we had for our celebration. According to their website, they take care of the entire process from purchasing all the way to clean up. OFFICIAL YELP EVENT BEVERAGES: We were treated to not only beer and wine selections but also a Raspberry Vodka Lemonade mixed drink complete with a dunked-in Shaka Pops popsicle. The lemonade was very refreshing but too light for me so I stuck to chardonnay for the rest of the evening. SERVICE: Owner Stacey was manning the bar with her staff. Everyone was very welcoming and friendly. OVERALL: They'd be the perfect people to hire for your bartending needs especially at the Lahaina Loft!

Jeff has been a reliable person to communicate with regarding my bar service-- he has let me bother him since last summer with price quotes, questions about glassware, a shopping list, and creating our beverage menu. On the wedding day, he even stepped out from behind the bar (he had an assistant with him) to serve drinks to me and my husband while we were taking photos during the cocktail hour to make sure we had something to drink. Many of our guests commented that they liked the cocktails and Jeff was very flexible with their requests, including shots at the end of the night. My husband wanted to make sure we wrote a review for Jeff to rave about him and his company and we typically do not write reviews. If you are looking for a great bartender for your wedding or party and care a lot about alcohol at your event and want to serve it in a cost-effective way (because you provide the alcohol), then hire Islands Bar Company and talk to Jeff. SBE were really easygoing when we asked to make a few tweaks to the appetizer menu, changed the size of the wedding cake (and then changed it back), and inquired about rentals. It all went very smoothly. Expectations and rules were clearly laid out in the venue contract regarding costs, service, vendors, rentals and food. We had one surprise with the admin fees on the bar tab the night of the wedding but the service was so excellent we didn't worry about it. The venue is gorgeous! It's right on the beach but the ceremony takes place on grass, which was helpful for our guests. It has a lovely path along the side garden that we used as the wedding entrance. The house is quite large and allowed for dinner in air conditioning. They even had the AC cranked up in the bride room for getting ready. We got A LOT of compliments from our guests (and vendors) on the food. I had at least one guest compliment that they loved each appetizer and each entree. I wholeheartedly recommend booking your wedding or event here.

Wedding planning has a reputation of being super stressful, but honestly our experience could not be any different with the amazing support, guidance, and obviously logistics-handling that Cindy provided. Cindy brought our vision board to life with the perfect vendors for rentals, her recommendations were spot on, and moreover, she was so attentive to details. She is so organized, it made the day before the wedding and the day of super easy. Everything was planned out and we always had a updated schedule. She would take our ideas, needs and budget and always give us options for vendors and all of the vendors we had were so professional and such nice people. They made our day that much more special. Katy was so responsive and quick to answer all of our questions and execute last minute requests/changes. Planning a wedding during COVID wasn't easy, but she made it seamless. We hired Katy to plan our wedding and welcome dinner. She's not cheap and the wedding wasn't either. Expect to blow your budget, but you pay for what you get (we spent ~$2,800/guest for the weekend) and trust us, it was well worth it. Katy is one of a kind, and clearly multiple levels above other wedding planners. If you're looking for a luxurious, highly personalized wedding, one that truly accentuates your love and journey, hire Katy, she's your gal. She knows what she's doing! I can't imagine us having even close to the experience we had without her. Many gave us the advice that something always goes wrong at your wedding, just let it go, but our wedding, under Katy's leadership, was flawless. We can't underscore enough how critical Katy was in making our wedding weekend the best time ever. Katy is super organized, professional, and she's an amazing designer. There were many instances where both of us were decision-paralyzed particularly during the design phase. After a few questions and yay-or-nays on pictures, Katy knew exactly what we wanted. It's like she read our mind, and then delivered. From our wedding vision, to big ticket items to the smallest details, it can get overwhelming. Our advice: trust her and listen to her advice because she knows exactly what she's doing and she'll get it done so you have peace of mind. We had our dream wedding and all of our guests lamented about how it was "the most special and beautiful wedding they had ever been to," still to this day, and even the ones who had been to multiple weddings at our venue before. We had a very "us" experience... this was no cookie-cutter thing. We prioritized food, drinks, and entertainment, and boy-oh-boy was that done right. Katy is connected to all the best vendors on the island. Fine Champagne and caviar flown in, best chef in Maui, bartender, vocalist and playlist. In addition, got difficult family dynamics? They made the suite smell like food and grease. All our garment bags smelled after the event. The appetizers came out and was barely enough to feed the crowd. I think I saw maybe 6-8 platters total for 70-80ish guests. They served potstickers.. Which were ok. They had fish sauce to dip them in, which didn't work well because it wouldn't soak into the shell of the potsticker. I mean as an hors d'oeuvre I think you should consider things dripping on people while they dip and walk and the flavors soaking into the actual appetizer. The coconut shrimp I never even saw. The ahi tuna was a little bland. I thought it needed more tuna on the cracker. Only 1-2 people served the appetizers and I felt it was lacking for the amount of guests. Maybe they should consider placing the hors d'oeuvre on a table and then serving some of the platters so that people know where to find them and we know all the food that is being served. I felt like the bride and the groom paid for unlimited amounts but didn't see what was actually passed out. I don't think they even saved any of the small bites for the bride and the groom. As for the food for the actual wedding.. The salad, bread, and Mac salad are as you expect. The Mahi Mahi with the salsa was a little dry. The pork was juicy and moist and probably the best dish of the night. The fried rice was also good. I felt like when we were going through the line they were being pretty skimpy with portion size. It's a buffet style.. Might've been better to allow the guests to serve themselves. Anyway, there was a lot of food left.. And some people had to flag them down for seconds because they were putting away the trays full of food without announcing it was ok for seconds and not giving guests a warning for last call.. Where did all the prepared food go?! Especially if it was suppose to be all you can eat buffet?! I felt like this company really tries to skimp you on things.. Items already paid should be set out for guests to enjoy. Especially all the cooked food. Why did guests have to flag you down because you were already cleaning up before serving anyone seconds? They said because of Maui law, they can't pack food to go.. What a weird rule. So apparently all the food was trashed afterwards.. Or taken home by the catering company themselves. I guess we'll never know. They never responded to the bride and grooms inquiries. They just got the business, did a shady job and then disappeared. How convenient. I didn't even pay for any of this and I'm pissed for the people who did. I was at the event as a guest and can say.. Appetizers were sparse... Make sure they tell you how many platters you'll get of each appetizer and then make sure they come out! Also make sure they announce to guests when they'll take away food before they pack and "throw" things away. Make sure you get what you paid for.. Have a family member make sure of it when you're busy with your big day.

SO good!! They even made little mini French macaroon's to go along with our cake!! Everything was perfect! At the end of the evening Michelle cleaned everything up for us so we didn't even have to think about it, she took care of all our vendors and even had a back up plan for the unexpected rain...I could go on for days about how amazing Michelle and the whole staff at Aloha Events is.
