This place is the dream. We rented all units through airbnb for a friend's birthday and flew from san francisco for the weekend. This place is straight out of david hockney famous swimming pool painting. The temperature was circa 100, the only thing to do was sipping cocktails by the pool so you couldn't dream of a better setting. The beds are XXXL, the interior design of great taste, the individual units give you all the privacy you need whilst being with your friends and nothing's missing to make you have the best time. Check out was a little early on sunday (we pushed it to 12pm) but you can get a day pass at the Ace hotel swimming pool for $20.

Beautiful!

I've been planning my own boutique retreat for quite some time and am always appreciative of a well designed space. The rooms are spacious, light & bright, child friendly & perfect for an extended holiday with family & friends. Why not rent out the whole place for a party or reunion? It's fabulous!

We stayed at The Amado while we were in town for our daughter's wedding. The property is in a great location and very close to the airport. This place was great to host family who came to the wedding. We had the bungalow unit with 2 bedrooms. It was spacious and very homy. The view of the private pool area was grand. I would definitely recommend staying here. The only problem we had was when the dishwasher flooded the kitchen. I called the Mgr on call and she took care of the problem. She even surprised us by coming into the property unannounced catching me in my glory as I walked out of the bathroom and she approached to patio door. I guess a phone call would have been professional. But I guess what happens at The Amado stays at The Amado. Haha

Several years ago a collection showed up someplace for a property that was for lease for a long term normal lease. I was mildly interested but never signed any lease and never lived at the property, not even for a day. I only viewed the house once when it was for sale and for lease. Approximately a year later I received some collection for a 12 month lease at a very high monthly rate times 12. I freaked out when I saw it and assumed I was a victim of identity theft. The collection showed Oranj Palm Vacation Homes so I contacted the owner of the management company and he explained it was some sort of an error. Just today at least 7 years after that experience I looked at my credit report which I had not done in a few years. I almost vomited when I saw under a closed collection account for $8,950.00. It appears to be a completely different incident of fraud. So, this means my credit scores were greatly damaged for 7 years for a fraudulent collection submitted to the credit bureaus by Oranj Palm Vacation Homes. I repeat I never rented a short or long term rental from this con artist scam of a company. I will be filing a lawsuit for this fraud and damage caused to my credit by these scumbags. WARNING: Do not trust this company.

The El Rancho Lodge is stuck in the late 50s and 60s…read more There is something so retro, maybe even campy about this place. If you are looking for a sleek modern resort with 1000 thread cotton sheets, designer furniture, workout room, spa and 4 star restaurants, this isn't your place. Enjoy paying your resort fees and valet parking, but don't come here. However, if you want a reasonably inexpensive room (we paid $99/night on Coachella weekend), this is your place. It is 19 rooms that surround a pool and hot tub. The rooms are directly out of "I Love Lucy" with the two twin beds that are put together to make a queen bed. Many of the rooms have full kitchens. The furnishings are old fashion and somewhat tacky. The guest room we stayed in, number 1, was pretty small. We had a third person with us and they were happy to bring in a rollaway for him. There is an individual and noisy air conditioner and heater in each room as well as a ceiling fan. In the small bathroom, they provided pretty good shampoo, soaps, shower caps. There was only a shower with good water pressure thanks to a waterpik showerhead. My one complaint here was there was no fan in the bathroom, only a window to open. So when my friend dropped off the kids at the pool, we had to clear out the place for 30 minutes. Towels are pretty thin. Each room comes with cable tv and a dvd player. The office has a huge selection of DVDs to borrow. There is a contenental breakfast served every morning -- it really isn't much to speak of: fresh fruit, coffee, pre-packaged danishs, granola bars, tea and some juices (one day it was pinapple and Sunny Delight). The clientele was pretty old, but very friendly. Most have been coming here for years. They sit out by the pool have dinner, drinks and sun bathe all day. They leave their room doors open while they are sunbathing. The office manager (who lives at the hotel) is friendly enough. Even the maid was nice and offered to take a picture of us at the hotel. There is even a hotel pet cat in the office that walks around the pool area during the day and night. Pool is not heated and the hot tub very warm, but not scalding hot. You will need a car to drive to downtown Palm Springs..

You can't beat $50 per night in Palm Springs! The pool and hot tub were perfectly clean. The pool is not heated and the hot tub does not have super powerful jets but who cares, it is $50 per night! The hotel is currently "For Sale." I am not sure how this will affect the price once it is sold, but the average price of a hotel in PS is waaay more. It was a little creepy that there was no one on site (no manager, no guests) on Thursday night, but let me tell you, we took advantage of that in the hot tub! ;) WINK WINK! ;) Check out their website for phone number and reservations! Im sorry, Im not sure if they had wi-fi. I didnt bring my laptop because this was a vacation!

Well, we love it so much that this is our fourth time staying here. We have stayed in Blue Skies Villa, Villa Aurora, Villa del Palma, and checked into Shangri-la yesterday. Each villa is charming in its own way. The property management team gives a special welcome by setting the mood with mod sixties music playing on the surround sound speakers, providing a bottle of wine, cold bottled water and soft drinks, a fruit basket, ground coffee and pastries from their local bakery (Aspen Mills), which can I tell you, hands down is the best blueberry muffin I've ever had! Since this is our fourth time back in 9 months, Ginny (lovely property manager) had a fresh bouquet of fragrant Lilies waiting for us. The fruit basket contains two small cups of yogurt, a few small bags of nuts, banana, lemon, limes and a citrus fruit picked from one of their many citrus trees located throughout the villas. Shangri-la has a grapefruit tree. Villa del Palma has an orange tree, Villa Aurora has a grapefruit and orange tree and Blue Skies has an orange tree. Ginny is very attentive. When she found out that the cranberry loaf was my husband's favorite, she's had this waiting for us upon arrival. Each villa we chose to stay in has two bedrooms/2 baths, its own private pool and jacuzzi, two car garage, front patio with BBQ, surround sound stereo with built in speakers throughout the whole villa and each is equipped with cooking utensils/dishes, washer/dryer (detergent provided) and pool toys. Villa Aurora has a walk in spa with essential oils to help enhance the experience and Shangri-la has a third bathroom. The average nightly rate is between $325 - $395 (weekends have a higher rate). There is also a separate daily $35 utility surcharge. Not bad for everything!! I'd say that's a deal!
