Morelia is incredible! I took my wedding dress to her and I'm so glad I did!! She took in the shoulders, hemmed the dress, shortened the incredibly long train, and designed custom sleeves. It couldn't have turned out better. The sleeves were extremely complicated, yet they now look like they came with the dress! It used to have short sleeves, but they were still super restricting. She fixed it so that even with long sleeves, I could move easier than when they were short. She's seriously magic. We gave her pieces of lace that matched my dress, and she cut it up and pieced it together so beautifully. You'd never be able to tell that they weren't the original sleeves! Although she's there to make the dress what you want, Morelia is not afraid to give her opinion and I'm grateful for that! I initially told her to do elbow-length sleeves, and she told me she thought I should do 3/4. I am SO glad I took her advice. She is the expert! Just trust her and you'll be so happy with the result! She's a perfectionist and everything came out so perfectly, I couldn't be happier! She is truly a master of her craft and will blow you away with what she can do. Worth every penny! read more

She redid the sleeves on my dress which were so cute!! However the whole time she would say that "it was up to me how I wanted it" but would guilt trip me into what she wanted and thought would look good. She also made me feel bad about all the work she would have to do if I wanted more alterations to be done. read more

I came in with a grey-ish wedding dress that had a broken zipper, and a partial corset. She was honest with me about what I had purchased and helped me understand that the corset I had purchased wouldn't fit my dress. She hand made a new corset and lace up for my dress and quoted me $125. I tried the dress on and she realized that my dress would need "bones" added. She didn't charge me extra even though it was unexpected. The alterations were perfect and done quickly. She steamed and pressed my dress and discovered that my dress was ACTUALLY sparkling white! Very happy with the service she gave and I will be sending all of my friends to her. read more

I have taken in about 4 suits to the alterations shop and she does a great job. My wife takes all of the clothes she wants altered here, because she does a great job. When considering the reviews, consider that "kelsie t." is taking in a designer dress and having it drastically altered. That is like putting a cardboard spoiler on a Cadillac. Who buys a Vera Wang dress so they can ruin the aesthetic intended by the designer by adding sleeves? Anyways, the owner does great work and has great input as far as what should be done with different pieces. read more

I cannot say enough GOOD things about this place!!!! I WOULD HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMEND! I bought a Wedding dress from someone, it needed a lot of alterations to be MY dress. I looked for seamstresses everywhere and the places I took my dress they said they weren't comfortable doing the alterations I needed. A friend recommended me here, i brought my dress in and Kristy was able to do all the alterations I needed NO PROBLEM! She lowered the neckline, scalloped the neckline with lace, hemmed the bottom, lined the top of the dress, added buttons down the back, took in the sides, and took in the shoulders! All in LESS than A MONTH!!! I was blown away by the service here, so fast, so efficient, and so decently priced! She was very up front about costs, there were no surprises. Very affordable as well. The dress fits me like a glove, as if it was made for me! The neckline is scalloped with lace and it looks like a designer dress!!! She did incredible work on my dress! The top of my dress was all very delicate lace and I was nervous to trust someone with it, because this was my wedding dress - Kristy works MAGIC with lace! Again I am so impressed! And again the owner is very very sweet! Such a kind lady, she has a ton of experience, and knows what she is doing!! I wish I could give this review 0 stars. My sister has worked with the owner for several years. She has made several strapless prom gowns beautifully with new sleeves. So I thought I was safe with taking my wedding dress to this wonderful lady that my sister had such great things to say about. WRONG!!! My Vera Wang wedding dress was trashed!!!!!! She charged me way more than what was deserved for her work. We had agreed on a certain look and she went a totally different route and when I called her out on it she blamed me. And then told me that she told me that my dress was going to look horribly and it wouldn't have blended if I added sleeves! So do you think I would have left my VERA WANG in the hands of an alterations lady who said that?! NO!!!! She's a liar and so deceitful! DONT EVER GO TO THE ALTERATIONS SHOP!!!! Between my experiences and those of my husband and my mother, I can confidently say that this is a wonderful place to receive alterations. I brought my wedding gown here, told a seamstress exactly what I wanted done, and was very pleased with the result. My husband and I brought his suit here to be altered in several places because a previous seamstress from another location made his suit unbearably awkward looking, and we were very pleased with how the owner improved it. Indeed, the owner can come off as insensitive at times, but she is very qualified in her field. read more

If I could give this place zero stars, I would. Do not go here at all costs if you can avoid it. The owner is not friendly. I did not have her do my alterations because she was so rude. When I put my wedding gown on to get a price estimate of the alterations, she said she would not pin the dress unless I paid $17 for the pins. She accidentally popped a button off of my dress and it fell apart (it was a fabric covered button), which I wasn't upset about because it was an accident. She told me she would fix it and that I could come back in a couple hours to get it. I came back the next morning and she seemed angry that I came back before she called me to tell me she had finished it. She told me she would call me when it was finished. I didn't think a tiny button would take two days to construct. Anyways, I came back to get the button the next day and it wasn't even the original button. The new button didn't match the rest of my buttons in color or size. Overall, every time I went there, the owner was rude and I would rather pay 3 times her price than deal with someone who makes me feel like I'm a burden and is not friendly. read more

We had our daughter's wedding gown altered at this shop. The owner was initially very abrupt in her way of communicating, but we did not let this bother us. I'm very glad, because she did an excellent job and she is actually very friendly. The dress had a lace overlay which had to be gently detached and pulled back to take in the bodice, then re-attached. She also removed the cap sleeves and added long sleeves in the same lace, which we had ordered. She also added the hooks and bars for bustling which were very sturdy, but not noticeable when not in use. We had let her know 3 months in advance, at the first fitting, that the lace fabric for the sleeves would not arrive until one week before the wedding. She accommodated this, and made sure she had time to complete the sleeves. I sew enough to know that her prices are reasonable for the time and care that this work required. I would definitely recommend this shop. read more
