Rip-off alert. I took two pairs of dress pants in to be altered and she charged me $90 per pair to do the job. The pants turned out okay, but I've found out from talking to other tailors that this could have been done for about $30 or less. Way over-priced. Plus she is a huge pain to deal with. During the entire fitting process she asked me what I wanted, and when I would tell her, she would proceed to tell me why I didn't know what I was talking about and try for 15 minutes after to convince me to change my mind. I've had several suits tailored before and never has someone argued and fussed as much as she did with me.
Even if she did a great job I would tell you to look elsewhere simply because she complains too much (esp. for somebody whose entire business model is based on making customers happy). Oh yeah, here's the kicker: she made fun of the suit I brought in to be tailored--said it didn't look good on me. I thought it looked fine, but that's beside the point. Being a professional you'd think she'd have the good sense to keep her mouth shut rather than tell someone that a $500 suit they just purchased (and couldn't return) didn't look good on them. Her lack of class earned her the one-star rating. You could get a better job done at Macy's. read more
