The teachers are truly wonderful--kind, patient, and incredibly skilled at connecting with kids. What we appreciate most is how the school has helped our boys develop a real love and appreciation for music, not just technical skills. They happily practice piano every day, which says everything. We're so grateful to have found such a supportive, inspiring music school for our family.

I would say this place is more for those with experience since you are pressured to perform. I am sure all the 5 star reviewers have had lessons before coming here. I started coming here in early October and left 3 weeks later. When I came, we had to perform within 2 months. We were all expected to know 4 songs within 3 lessons (6 hours, since each lesson lasts 2 hours). I can't learn how to have long conversations in a different language in this small amount of time. I did not care for Todd's teaching methods. I could not bear to see how he was talking to another student who I will call S for privacy reasons. I felt pretty bad for S. Like, I do agree that his performance was average, but you need more time to learn than just 2 months! He was also making things seem like a serious problem, which can easily crush dreams. I felt like I was auditioning for AGT or something. The ear buds they give you did not look like they get cleaned at all (as another reviewer said), which disgusted me, so I decided to use their huge headphones instead. They have a variety of colors and designs, but they only have one size. They do not look like they are for kids. I saw this little 4-year-old girl wearing those headphones with the unicorn pattern, and the ear protection part was below her ears, which is dangerous. The one positive thing was my private lessons with Charlotte. I enjoyed them more than being with the group and Todd. I would speak highly of her with my parents. She was very understanding of my feelings. I'm sad I cannot come for lessons with her, but I am also now taking voice lessons at a different place.

There were over 90 performers, from young children to adults, and each student played a different piece. The variety kept the entire program engaging. The students performed on a beautiful 9- foot Steinway & Sons grand piano in a professional concert setting, which made the evening feel very special. What impressed me the most was the students' confidence and musical level. The program included works by Bach, Mozart, Beethoven, Chopin and more. It was clear how much dedication and care went into their training. Ms. Lily's experience truly shows. She was a child prodigy and admitted to the Beijing Conservatory of Music at age 9. After graduating she then performed internationally including a performance at Carnegie Hall. She received Steinway & Sons Hall of Fame Award in 2019. With over 30 years of teaching experience, she has helped her students grow not only as musicians but also as confident young people. It was an inspiring evening and I would highly recommend Ms. Lily and her team to any family looking for quality piano education.

I believe we just hit a year, which means my son started just after his 4th birthday to get a jump start on reading before he entered Kindergarten in Aug 2021. He IS reading above his level with the help of the wonderful tutors. After each class, they give me a status report on what he's working on, how he's progressing and what hiccups he might be having so I can work with him at home. One thing I really love is that the tutors have remained consistent over the last year (meaning, my son sees the same tutors week after week). He really looks forward to going each week, going through the easy-to-follow lessons, and earning reward points. Admittedly, my son did start young and the patience I saw in each of the tutors was admirable. Teachers are gold! Though we briefly stopped attending in March due to COVID, when the facility was able to open up again, the safety/sanitary standards they put place to be in compliance was impressive to say the least. I feel 100% safe and confident they will keep my boy safe. Kudos to Jason, Daisy, Tia, and the whole team at the Tutoring Club of Mission Viejo! I can't imagine not using them as my son grows! From the very beginning, Miss Bri created a warm, encouraging, and playful environment that made learning music feel like an adventure rather than a lesson. Her patience with young children is remarkable, and she has a special gift for keeping little ones engaged while gently building real musical skills. Over these two years, we've watched our now six-year-old grow not only in musical ability but also in confidence, focus, and joy for learning. Our child genuinely looks forward to every lesson and proudly shares what he's learned afterward.
