I am truly so glad I got to experience this festive masterpiece. From the moment the curtain went up, the production was pure holiday magic! The set, the dazzling lights, and the powerful live band were incredible. Major kudos to all the unseen heroes behind the scenes--the stagehands, lighting designers, and choreographers. Every single detail was so meticulously crafted and flawlessly executed! The Cast and the Heart But the cast... wow! I've never witnessed such a large ensemble be so flawlessly in sync with each other. As someone with a background in theatre, I was actively counting beats as each performer hit their mark--it was a true masterclass in ensemble precision! What truly touched my heart was the moment the ensemble chose to honor our vets--the genuine respect and beautiful fashion in which they did it was unlike anything I have ever seen on stage! It's a moment of profound gratitude and connection. Behind the Scenes Dedication Even during intermission, the spirit of excellence continued! Every usher and server handled the busy crowds heading to the snack bar and bathrooms with such pride and professionalism. It's truly wonderful to see a team execute their jobs with such care. A special note: while this is Ann-Carol Pence's last time performing, she remains an intricate and cherished part of the company and isn't going anywhere! What a fun, inexpensive way to spend an evening while supporting local theater!…read more Last night we enjoyed Fifth Row Center's production of Agatha Christie's The Mousetrap presented at The Springs Church on Spout Springs Road in Flowery Branch. This was my first Fifth Row Center experience and I have to say that I was quite impressed. This is wonderful community theater and we in the area should be supporting these events. The audience was small and the venue certainly was able to handle a larger crowd. The presentation is for several days so we hope more will attend. It did seem as though most of the audience was comprised of friends and family. Since I am not here to review the play, but the theater company itself, I will stay away from a play review....though we thoroughly enjoyed it! Fifth Row Center is located on Main St. in Flowery Branch where they have classes, rehearsals, etc. and welcome anyone to come in to audition. My only real complaint is the fact that there didn't seem to be too much advertising for this production. Unless we missed anything else, the only way we found out about this was a large sign posted at a nearby busy intersection. I never noticed any newspaper ads or anything else around town. Maybe I don't get out much or maybe it just wasn't there. At any rate, my suggestion would be to advertise the heck out of their productions in hopes of gaining loyal patrons. Our group certainly will now be regular attendees when the production interests us. Best of luck to Fifth Row Center. We hope the community will come out and support this endeavor and help keep it running.

Yet they invest ZERO effort in providing the tools their graduates can use to bridge into professional work. No film samples graduates can use in their audition work. This is a VERY basic portfolio development step that any real theatre program worth its salt should be making. But no one from the recently graduated classes has anything to show prospective casting directors of their work over the last four years. If you're contemplating sending your kid to GTA, think hard on that decision.

Last minute idea for a Sunday Funday option. This little school house is in downtown Cumming and is…read morecertainly a blast from the past. It's a 1920s school turned into a theater, with a majority of the original school intact. I was able to get some last minute tickets for the show, The Producers, literally 2 hours before the play. Cost was not bad at all, $25/person. They offer a VIP experience too, for another $25/person, that comes with heavy hors d'ouevres and non-alcoholic drinks (not offered on Sundays). Parking was not bad. We got there early and ordered drinks from the bar (fairly full bar of offerings). Costs on alcohol were not bad either. It was fun touring the school house and seeing all the old pictures of class photos taken there, and all the frames photos of previous plays put on. Even the school rooms had the window above the doorway. There is also a restaurant in back with some great mural art/paintings on the wall. The theater was fairly large and presented well, with cushy seats and convenient drink holders. My expectations were low and I was very much surprised by the skill level of the cast and how well the show was run. I've never been to Broadway but I've been to the Fox, and this show would equal some of the stuff I've seen there or at other theaters. Very talented cast! The show was also incredible. Overall, this was a wonderful visit. If you live in the area, you'd be crazy not to check out a show here!

S.P.A. has a reputation for providing excellent dance, tumble and drama instruction to beginning, intermediate, advanced, and pre-professional dancers. The studios are clean, the instructors are among the best in the field, but most importantly, the students really seem to encourage and look after one another. I've observed other dance studios at competitions, and I frequently wonder if their students have the same camaraderie that I see with the students at S.P.A. Additionally, I'm proud of the age appropriate costumes S.P.A. chooses - especially compared with some of the tacky and inappropriate outfits worn elsewhere. If you have a child interested in ballet, jazz, tap, hip-hop, tumble, etc., do yourself a favor and check out Sugarloaf Performing Arts.

My wife (thank god, deals with schools and so on but last week when I went to see my daughter in practice after 1 hour or so I had something to take care of out the school and was to go back and pick up my daughter. My wife told me Lori Zamzow is the owner and I went over to let her know that my daughter would miss 2 shows on the 20th and 21st because I had booked in April a family trip to celebrate her 15th birthday. She did not even let me start talking, She ignored me and said to talk to Brooke Burgess (School Director) I said, I was told it was going to be difficult and they both looked at each other but I still went to talk to Burgess. I let her know that my daughter would be missing 2 shows me thinking is the right thing to do but nope, what a mistake, Burgess had no idea on what to do and went back to Lori Zamzow. She came over and told me about the commitment and all on the contract and I said, I understand but when the trip was made I chose the dates I did base on last years show dates (picture of last year schedule attach) She said to me that I need to cancel the trip I said I cant. told me to get my money back, I said impossible. Told me of the contract and I said I understand but I cant re-schedule this trip, ships don't leave at my convenience and I already had made a payment back in April for over 10k. At the end of the conversation I did say that the situation was making my blood boil and I took full responsibility for booking this trip thinking school would be over by the 18th but no, It did not work out that way. After almost 4 years committed to making sure this company gets paid on time, credit card on file for automatic payments and my wife taking my kid there and me after work picking her up what did Lori Zamzow do? she told Brooke Burgess like 20 min after I left the school to call me and she said, can you cancel that trip? Can you get a refund? can your reschedule? NO NO NO, this is a bully that barks because they know they have are kids there and they know how to crush them. She kicked my daughter out of: The Nativity Ballet show The NUTcracker show and all company pieces and future performances . Also, kicked her out her company beginning the next evening Nov 21st. I can understand being charged the $300 dollars If my daughter wanted to quit company, but all of the above looks very personal to me. Someone there also made a treat via email to send my account (1000% on time payments) to collections. what? Email is also attached. To my point, Bully and bark and keep talking and treating people the way you do, The only reason I don't yank my kid out of there is because from something this sad she said to me that she likes her teachers and friends. She will learn soon that when you are a paying client is true that customers are not always right, being a business owner my self, I would never treat someone like that. I told my daughter that this will make her stronger, because if for having a father that wanted to do the right thing and for this company to treat my daughter like that is unacceptable. My understanding is that many parents have pulled there kids out, I want out but my kid at 14 has no idea what a bully is, I do. I will keep supporting my kid no matter what and one last thing, care full if English is not your first language, Some there act like they cant understand you and for some sick sad reason they think is funny.
