Working…read morewith Michael has been one of the most valuable decisions I've made for my financial well-being. From the very beginning, Michael took the time to truly understand my goals, concerns, and overall financial picture. He doesn't just give advice -- he educates. He has an incredible ability to explain complex financial concepts in a clear, approachable way that actually makes you feel confident and empowered rather than overwhelmed. I've learned so much through our work together, and I now feel far more informed and in control of my financial decisions because of him. What truly sets Michael apart is how much he genuinely cares about his clients. It's obvious that this isn't "just a job" to him. He is incredibly hardworking, detail-oriented, and always willing to go the extra mile to make sure nothing is overlooked. He is thoughtful with his recommendations, patient with questions, and consistently proactive in offering guidance and insights that are tailored specifically to my situation. Michael has been a trusted advisor through important decisions, and I always feel confident knowing I have someone so knowledgeable and dedicated in my corner. He follows up, checks in, and makes himself available -- which speaks volumes about his commitment to the people he works with. You never feel rushed or like just another client; you feel truly supported. If you are looking for a financial advisor who is not only extremely knowledgeable, but also honest, hardworking, and deeply invested in helping you succeed, I wholeheartedly recommend Michael Dilella and the team at Financial Counseling Center. Working with him has been an absolute game-changer for me

Feeling financially stuck? Overwhelmed with credit card debt? High interest rate loans…read moresuffocating any progress? Insomnia? 6 months ago I was staying up all night worried about my family's financial future. I felt like I was going to have a heart attack or stroke from the stress. So, how did we get to this point? Business was affected by Covid. My wife was laid off so our income was slashed in half. Started racking up credit card debt. Paying the minimum. Then, there was the financial burden of taking care of elderly parents. I tried debt consolidation but it would take multiple years to pay down the overwhelming mountain of debt compounding like a pounding headache of misery. I felt trapped in a circle of debt, barely getting by month to month with cost of living going up. Then I met with Michael to pick his brain and discuss my options. Our best strategy was to file for chapter 7 bankruptcy. To get a fresh start. This was the best choice for us. Highly recommend talking to Michael and Tamara to just review your options. Worst case at least you will have some clarity of what solutions are out there. Michael held our hands and walked us through everything. Tamara does most of the heavy lifting. She is amazing. Much respect to Tamara's patience and diligence. She told us exactly what was necessary to file so the process was easy and smooth. I spent many hours to get all my docs in order per her request. So, dont be lazy and get your stuff in order. John is the confident lawyer. Straight shooter. Decades of experience with the trustees. Highly recommend a lawyer to file instead of trying to do it yourself. 4 months later. Discharged over $200K of debt. Now I can sleep at night like a baby. Thank you so much to FCC. I feel like I got a second chance. God bless America for having a system that allows qualified debtors to get a "fresh start". Much gratitude.

I signed up with Infinite Financial Firm Credit Doc to help remove several late payments from my…read morecredit report because I needed my credit fixed quickly in order to buy a house. From February 23 to April 21, I trusted the process and was very clear from the beginning that money was not the problem. I even told them I was willing to pay extra if they could work faster and actually get results. At first, they told me I did not need to pay off my credit cards or balances for the process to work. Later on, they changed their advice and told me that if I paid off the accounts, the disputes would move faster and have a better chance of success. I followed their recommendation and paid off the accounts hoping to finally see results, but even after doing that, I still did not receive any meaningful improvement. Instead of offering a faster or more effective solution, they placed me into a monthly payment program and kept telling me to wait. Communication was also very slow, especially from the owner, who would take a long time to respond to my messages and concerns. During the entire process, they claimed they filed disputes multiple times, but I never saw any positive results. In fact, my credit situation became worse instead of improving. After almost two months of waiting, I was eventually told that I should just cancel the service because they were not getting results.I feel disappointed because I spent time, money, and trusted their promises during an important time when I needed my credit fixed urgently. Based on my experience, there was a lack of urgency, communication, and effective dispute strategy. I would strongly recommend others ask for clear proof of work, realistic expectations, and actual progress before signing up.

I did have a consultation with your office, which is exactly why I posted this review. The reason I…read moredid not move forward as a client was because, after doing extensive independent research afterward, I realized that some important information and long-term consequences were either not fully explained or minimized during the consultation. I spent a significant amount of time researching the strategies that were discussed with me, and I discovered that some of the recommended actions could have seriously harmed my credit profile and even negatively affected my business in the long run. Certain risks and long-term reporting consequences were not clearly disclosed during our conversation, and I only learned about them later through outside research. After the consultation, I also received repeated follow-up calls encouraging me to sign up for services. However, my concern was never about pressure alone -- it was that I did not feel I was given complete and transparent information upfront in order to make a fully informed financial decision. This review reflects my personal experience and why I ultimately decided not to proceed with your services. I believe consumers should carefully research all available options and fully understand the long-term impact before enrolling in any credit-related program.

Unfortunately, that was not the case the never refilled out nor reached out or answered my phone calls regarding the loan. Therefore, the loan consolidation called told me many of those companies scam for money help out once and never seen again. It was a tough lesson to learn but please do not pay for this service. You can fill out the forms yourself for free and if you go to the site from your loans they will walk you through it. Studebt was a poor solution and unfortunately takes advantage of those in tight money situations

INITIAL CONTACT I hadn't heard of this company until 1 hour…read moreago, when I received an automated message informing me of an opportunity to lower my loan payments in line with new legislation. I pressed "1" to speak with a customer service rep, and after being screened with a few basic questions by a "Rochelle" (am I current student, disabled, veteran, public service, amount of debt), I was forwarded to Katie B, a councilor at StuDebt. DUBIOUS CONTEXT My first question to her was to ask what organization she was with--because at this point I had no context to who had called me. That was when she explained she was with StuDebt, then proceeded to ask a few questions to help me determine what level of aid I might receive (I agreed to move forward to see what this was about). RED FLAG The red flag raised for me when in the course of verifying my account, she asked for my Social Security number. I asked her why this was necessary, as the SS# isn't something I'd ever give out over the phone--much less in a situation where I wasn't 100% sure of who I was speaking with. Though her explanation was reasonable and makes sense (using it to distinguish between people with the same name and birth date), at this point I wasn't comfortable providing it or any further info without doing my own research online. I asked for contact information and provided an email. DOING OWN RESEARCH Then I turned to Google to find out what this company was about, leading me to both these Yelp reviews as well as to this article written by the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB) about being aware that certain "student loan debt relief companies may cost you thousands of dollars and drive you further into debt" (http://www.consumerfinance.gov/blog/consumer-advisory-student-loan-debt-relief-companies-may-cost-you-thousands-of-dollars-and-drive-you-further-into-debt/). My takeaway from the reviews and CFPB article is to educate myself on what options I have available for student debt relief before turning to any third parties, helpful though they may be. RESULT I have no problem with the representatives calling me -- they're just doing their jobs -- but I figured I should write a review so others with student debt can do due diligence before committing any further time or money. Any time you're making decisions around your debts, finances or future, it's definitely worth taking some time to learn for yourself.
