Thai Express is good at mediocre mall food. The positive is you know basically what you should receive. The bad is it's not exquisite food. Let's face it though folks.... it's mall food. Some call it fast food....I prefer to call this quick and casual. Some people are not a fan of Thai Ex. Good for them I say!.....that is why there is chocolate ice cream for some and vanilla for others. If you ever want to see line cooking at its best, here is a extra fine example to teach your kids about organization. This is necessary when you need to crank out plate after plate in high volume especially during a busy lunch hour. If they are not working in unison then you have customers that get impatient mad and go somewhere else. There are way too many other food court choices at Carrefour Laval food court for them to be inefficient.
My go to meal here is Pad Sew chicken medium spice. I've also recently tried the Pad Thai. Both to me are adequate noodle dishes. They come out as a healthy serving but I would contend meat is a bit smaller portions compared to other Thai Expresses. When the plate comes off the kitchen assembly line, it's a piping plate of noodles that you can sprinkle crushed peanut on, drizzle lime juice and then add some extra sriracha to zip it up even more.
I'll keep coming back here on odd occasion. For here as like McDonald's perfected it's consistency. Here at TE consistency is very good. You may find happier in your tummy options but I'm down with a plate of semi-salty noodles with sauce from time to time. read more
